Qin Hao glanced at him disdainfully, "Didn''t they ask you to paint?"
Zhao De chuckled, "Big bro, if neither you nor I say anything, who''s going to know it wasn''t me who painted it?
For your little brother''s lifelong happiness, won''t you help me out?"
Qin Hao: "I haven''t really painted much either. If it turns out bad, what if your future father-in-law doesn''t like it?"
Zhao De made a bitter face, "Big bro, I don''t even know how to start painting."
"Why not go ask a master from the painting club to do it for you?"
Zhao De replied, "The president of the painting club is his disciple. If I were to ask someone from outside, it would cost at least a few thousand. Big bro, just paint one for me."
After Zhao De''s persistent requests, Qin Hao nodded and agreed.
"Big bro, I''ve prepared everything."
As he spoke, Zhao De took out some items and placed them on the table.
Qin Hao stood there, unsure, as he didn''t know what landscape painting to create.
"What''s the matter, big bro?" Zhao De, seeing him motionless, asked curiously.
Qin Hao: "I''m thinking about which one to do. They didn''t have any specific requests, right?"
"No, just paint anything."
After thinking for a bit, Qin Hao reached into his pocket and pulled out some money. He looked through it and then took out a twenty Xuan Country Coin.
The back of the coin featured a Xilin Mountain and Water landscape painting. The mountains were mystical, the waters picturesque, with an elder rowing a boat and an osprey perching majestically.
Qin Hao: "How about I paint this one?"
"Big bro, you''re so talented..." Zhao De was thoroughly impressed, figuratively throwing himself at Qin Hao''s feet.
Qin Hao placed the coin beside him as a reference.
He picked up the brush and began painting directly, the image from the back of the coin already fully outlined in his mind.
Zhao De knew better than to disturb him while he painted, so he stood by quietly, watching without making a sound.
In less than half an hour, a landscape painting vividly emerged on the paper.
Zhao De was stunned when he saw it because the landscape painting Qin Hao created was incredibly beautiful.
The mountains were vividly portrayed, the rivers were winding, the fisherman wore a straw raincoat, and the osprey stood tall on a bamboo pole.
To Zhao De, everything looked so lifelike. He felt as if he was in the scene, itching to visit that place for himself.
"Holy crap, big bro, is this what you meant by ''not having painted much''?" Zhao De''s eyes were glued to the painting.
This painting was far more beautiful than the landscape paintings hung on the walls of Xu Lu''s home.
And those were all made by famous artists!
Although he knew nothing about painting, Zhao De could still tell what was visually appealing.
Qin Hao took a look and felt quite satisfied too: "Taking it out shouldn''t be too embarrassing, right?"
"Hao can paint too?" The fatty was momentarily stunned.
Zhao De: "Of course, you underestimate who Hao is—a once-in-a-century young genius, a future pillar of the nation.
By the way, Hao, do you have a car? Can I borrow it to drive tomorrow? Although it''s already autumn, it''s still a bit hot out."
Qin Hao laughed speechlessly: "Cut out the flattery, I''ll have someone bring the car to you tomorrow. We can''t lose face of our 301 dorm."
"Thanks, Hao. If this works out, I''ll treat everyone to a meal," Zhao De gratefully said.
Qin Hao looked at the fatty and asked, "What did you do all day today?"
The fatty took a sip of water, sat down on a chair, and said, "Today, Xiao Cui and I went shopping and talked a lot. Hao, I''ve decided I''m going to start a business; otherwise, I''ll drift further and further away from her, and I don''t want to lose her!"
Chen Ping and Zhao De looked at him in surprise.
Qin Hao asked, "So, what kind of company do you plan to start? Do you have a target yet?"
The fatty shook his head: "No, Hao, you have experience. What kind of company should I start?"
Qin Hao: "That depends on what industry you understand and which you''re interested in."
"I don''t know," the fatty said awkwardly.
Qin Hao: "If you don''t know what kind of business to start, you should think about it carefully."
The fatty nodded, his mind harboring entrepreneurial ideas, but he was still unsure what to pursue.
Xie Cui''s family dealt in electronic products. He initially wanted to go into that, but later reconsidered.
...
The next morning
Qin Hao and three others left the dormitory, Zhao De still holding onto a scroll of painting that had dried after last night''s inking, which he had framed a bit.
It wasn''t long before Qin Hao saw six girls walking toward them.
The fatty curiously asked, "Hao, which one is your girlfriend?"
Zhao De: "The prettiest one in the middle."
"Hao, you''ve got good taste," Chen Ping remarked as he saw Xu Lu.
Soon, Xu Lu and her group approached.
Zhao De began, "Lu Lu, let me introduce you. These three are my buddies. This is Qin Hao, Wang Yanghua, and Chen Ping."
Xu Lu smiled and said, "Hello, I''m Xu Lu."
"Nice to meet you, sister-in-law."
Xu Lu''s cheeks turned slightly red. Was it alright to address her so directly?
Her roommates snickered. These freshmen sure talked interestingly.
But they weren''t much interested in Qin Hao and the others—they weren''t handsome and didn''t look like they were rich.
To them, Zhao De, with his tall and handsome appearance, seemed the most handsome, followed by Qin Hao, Chen Ping, and Wang Yanghua.
