Chapter 381: Chapter 383: The Gift

Qin Hao hesitated upon hearing his words, the Northern Federation? He could take this opportunity to visit Wan Rou.

Li Jianjun hurriedly said, “Competing in this match with your current status will be a bit demeaning, so I think you’d better not go.”

Qin Hao replied, “No problem, just get the visa ready for me. Make it for a longer period; I have some other business to attend to over there.”

Li Jianjun said, “You’re still going? You’re a scholar from Xuan Science Academy. If people in our country find out, I think my King Club is going to be doomed.”

Qin Hao said, “Going doesn’t necessarily mean I will compete. I have other matters to attend to. Which city is hosting the event?”

    “Fei City.”

Qin Hao opened the map and looked. Du Wanrou’s school was in Boston, and Fei City in the Northern Federation wasn’t far from Boston.

Li Jianjun said, “Then when you have time, drop by the club. I have something to discuss with you that’s not convenient to talk about over the phone.”

A curious light shone in Qin Hao’s eyes, what could he want with me? “Alright, I’ll be there soon.”

After hanging up the phone, Li Jianjun walked out of the club’s office. Xia Qing was sitting in the club’s lobby.

Li Jianjun said with a smile, “Qingtian has already been taken care of, and Gun Master will be here shortly. Tell me, do you know Gun Master’s real identity?”

Xia Qing replied somewhat shyly, “Not sure. I’ve never met him before; today is the first time.”

“Gun Master has tipped you so much money; he’s never asked you out?” Li Jianjun knew about Xia Qing’s online popularity.

And because of her, Dream Guild, which she signed with, also became popular.

Currently, Dream Guild’s monthly income reached millions, which was quite rare among new guilds.

Xia Qing shook her head, “He’s a good brother, tipping me without any ulterior motives.”

Li Jianjun also believed that Qin Hao didn’t need to go to such lengths just to flirt, as with his reputation, a simple call would have hoards of beautiful women flocking to him.

There must be something he didn’t know.

“Don’t be surprised when Gun Master arrives,” Li Jianjun warned Xia Qing.

Xia Qing smiled slightly, “How could I be? I have already prepared myself mentally.”

Even if Gun Master were terribly ugly, she couldn’t snub the big brother who had given her all-out support in the past.

    Around 9:30 in the morning.@@@@

Qin Hao arrived at the entrance of King Club, followed by four bodyguards from Leng Xuan.

He sized up the outside of the club before stepping inside, where two people were sitting in the lobby.

One was Li Jianjun, and surprisingly, the other was Xia Qing, chatting and laughing together, seemingly having a good relationship.

    Why is she here?

Could she be with Li Jianjun now?

She had regained her composure and while walking, she asked, “Why didn’t you tell me when I repaid you the money?”

“If I had told you, would you have accepted my help?” Qin Hao asked.

    “No,” she replied with certainty.

“Your uncle and aunt, they are doing well, aren’t they?” Qin Hao inquired.

Xia Qing nodded, “They are doing well, they’ve opened a few fruit shops in Jiangshan.”

As they walked and talked, Qin Hao felt as if he was being brought back to his high school days.

Walking home from school under the shade of the trees by the road, talking and laughing together.

“It’s almost half a year since then, we were walking under the shade just like now,” Qin Hao exclaimed.

Hearing him reminisce, a smile spread across Xia Qing’s face, “That road, that person, that time, they are my most cherished memories.”

Qin Hao’s face held a smile, his tone even as he said, “When did you start liking me?”

Xia Qing pondered before replying, “I fell for you when it was the right time to. When did you start liking me?”

“I started liking you when I wasn’t supposed to.”

Xia Qing’s lips curled into a slight smile, revealing two charming dimples.

She lowered her gaze to her shoes and continued to walk step by step.

After taking a dozen steps or so, Xia Qing suddenly spoke up, “Actually, I’ve always had a gift for you, but I never had the chance to give it to you. Can I give it to you today?”

Qin Hao looked at her curiously, wondering what gift she had for him.

A ring? A necklace? Or something else?

“Yes,” Qin Hao answered with a nod.

Xia Qing smiled faintly, her expression reserved and elegant, “You’ve given me a gift before, but I never gave you one in return.

This is a gift I’ve prepared for a long time, I thought I could give it to you much earlier, but it ended up being now.”

Qin Hao felt a bit embarrassed. The gift Xia Qing mentioned was probably the two little outfits he had given her back then?

“Close your eyes,” Xia Qing told him.

    Qin Hao closed his eyes.

Xia Qing looked at him and placed her hands around his neck.

Then, standing on tiptoe, she moved closer...
