Chapter 1167 – Prep Grinding 8 – Another pack of windows

“Is she fucking downgrading me?” Metra asked, reading through the choices.

First time he looked at it, John had shared the impression. By the time Metra had read all three descriptions once, he had gone through them thrice and changed his opinion, however. “More of a side-grade really,” he explained his analysis. “You’re retaining the three most important aspects of the way you use the ability, being disruption of enemy dimension magic, pulling enemies towards you, and repositioning with portals. Rex Magnar still has the Spell Extension Enchantment, so you can still toss it to increase your range. The game mechanics may be less freeform overall than your current casting, but Fury means you don’t have to worry about running out.”

“Already assuming Ancient Ravager?” Lee asked.

“I mean, yeah.” John shrugged. It was obviously the best of the two actual choices. Breeding Bitch was out for obvious reasons. Hound of War was alright, but felt clunky compared to Ancient Ravager. As a Wrathguard, she would do essentially the same stuff as before, which was exactly what John wanted.

Each of his Artificial Spirits had a combat role that was much closer to video games than his other familiars (expectedly, since they were affected by his game mechanics beyond evolution choices). Aclysia was an aggressive tank, Beatrice was a mobile melee damage-dealer, Momo was a buff support, and Metra was a tanky damage dealer.

Metra was also the premiere stat-stick of their group. Aclysia had a number of Skills that provided utility and defences that rivalled and even overcame Metra’s at this point. Beatrice was incredibly mobile and could deal absolutely absurd damage when she wasn’t addressed quickly. Momo’s variety of buffs increased the power of the entire group and kept them safe through her shields.

Although Metra’s space tearing was flashy, she arguably had less mobility than Beatrice and Momo. To start with, the portals required slashes or other gestures to open, so there was an innate delay built into them. Resource restrictions would be less gripping in a few moments, but they had still applied in the past. Combining those two, the only thing that Metra’s portals had been better at were raw range. Beatrice could practically spam her repositioning tools and Momo could fly.

The space tearing was really in support of her absolutely absurd Stat bonuses. Sin of Wrath increased her Stats, except Charisma, by up to 300%, as long as she fought on her own. There was practically no one that could take her on in a 1vs1, provided that she could reach her enemy. In terms of game design, stat-sticks weren’t particularly liked. Interactions with them were fairly binary, because one either had the necessary power to beat them or one didn’t. Reality had a lot more outplay potential than the confines of game rules allowed, so this wasn’t as much of a factor in their situation.

What was important was that all Metra’s abilities needed to do was to give her ways to reach her opponent. There was no need to amplify the power of her regular attacks, because her regular attacks already dealt insane damage. Plus, she could always use Rex Magnar’s various damage boosting Attributes to help her out.

“Any problem with Ancient Ravager?” John asked, his finger hovering over the choice.

“Yeah, give me the Breeding Bitch,” Metra demanded, spreading her legs and her pussy. “Fuck fighting, I’m retiring to cocksleeve.”@@@@

“Okay.” John played along and moved his hand over. “Weird that it doesn’t come with the pregnancy option,” he admitted, his finger closing in on the choice. He was playing chicken with the grinning, willing sex slave, whose pretty pink folds stood out quite a bit between her light brown thighs. Would he stop moving first or would she correct the record?

“If you make her your Breeding Bitch before me, I will rip your fucking arm out and shove it elbow deep down her whore ass,” Eliana growled, her tone as wolfish as Metra’s ears.

“Well... seems like that option is out.” John took the out, both because it was the easy way and because Eliana sounded a bit more like Thana there, in her tone, than Eliza. The implications of that were equally interesting and dangerous. “Ancient Ravager?”

“Sure,” Metra said and moved over. The tall berserker woman bowed down, her head next to John’s ear, and whispered, “I’ll always be your willing sex slave though, my king.” John had to admit that the title was growing on him. Most titles would have if they came from her delicious brown lips. John pressed the tile, choosing her Wrathguard focus, and then reached between her legs. Her tail swayed softly when he curved two fingers into her. “Yeah, that’s it,” she moaned. “That’s all yours, my king – all of my body exists so you can fuck me in any way you like.”

Universal Weapon Mastery 3 was pretty okay. Having access to ranged attacks was never bad. With Rip being a long-distance grip on a 10 second CD, however, it wasn’t a priority.

Until was straight-up busted. Fury was generated when taking damage, among other things. That meant that, whenever Metra took damage, future damage instances were reduced. Combined with her Astrotium exterior, she’d be almost impossible to harm in any meaningful way. In theory, anyway.

    Sticking to Strength there.

The completionist inside him obviously wanted It is Done so he had the whole Doom phrase assembled. Vector Break, however, was just more useful. Metra liked to throw Rex Magnar around a lot. Tossing the halberd through a portal to change its path and destination completely would combo well with Tear too, so it was just the universally smart choice. Metra gave him an agreeing moan when he looked to her for an opinion.

An interesting and incredibly potent trio of choices. Putting the Stat bonuses aside, he had the choice between an absolutely incredible aura effect, extreme crowd control resistance, and infinite scaling. Star Wolf was the weakest of the three right this moment, as was typically the case with infinitely scaling mechanics. What dissuaded John from it was that it didn’t list what exactly the bonuses were and that he hadn’t unlocked any Starforging yet. The other two were just straight-up powerful.

While John still pondered which one he would recommend, he was distracted by Metra’s lips retreating from his dick. Not in the ‘slowly sliding upwards to go back down’ but in the ‘I got something to say’ fashion. “Give me Metal Wolf,” the First of Wrath demanded.

“You sure?” he asked. It wasn’t a bad choice, immunity to mind control effects alone was to make that sales pitch work. John just wanted to give this the proper consideration.

“I’m not leaning into either Mother Chaos or that ass Enki,” Metra growled. “I’m my own kingmaker.”

The green eyes of the wrathful wolf girl were ready to engage in a staring duel. She wouldn’t find one, as John just nodded. “These are your Perks,” he told her while confirming the choice. “I just press the buttons.” Metra grinned and John scratched her soft ears. After a few seconds of enjoying that, he gripped her head and pulled her back down on his cock. Metra purred throughout both exercises.

All that was left now was the Reset Perk.

John let out a long sigh. As well as Metra worked his manhood, the source of it was entirely the lack of any option that let him decrease the horrendous upkeep cost for his Artificial Spirits. 40% of his mana regeneration was actually quite cheap considering he got 4 combatants on his level out of it, but it still bothered him.

‘Although I couldn’t have taken it anyway,’ the Gamer reminded himself and pressed on Sisterhood. He would need that extra maximum whenever he made the new body for Delicia. “Alright, let me cum down Metra’s slave throat and then we head outside to test the new abilities,” John announced.

    And so they did.
