Lucius followed Loreia out of his small apartment. He then looked around the familiar environment.
Everything looked the same as he remembered. Buildings, roads, and people going about their daily lives. They were all the same as he remembered.
Yet, something was different. As he walked, he could see some beasts that were not supposed to be here.
At first, he dismissed them as normal pets, but a closer look shattered that assumption. These were not the dogs or cats he had once known.
A sleek cat with green, leaf-like fur sat near a flower stand. As it lazily flicked its tail, the flowers around it bloomed, vibrant and full of life.
A small, fluffy rabbit bounced down the pavement, and with each hop, tiny, shimmering bubbles floated into the air, popping softly, releasing fresh air.
Further ahead, a group of children crowded around a chubby, ferret-like beast, its round body squished against a girl''s chest as she hugged it tightly.
Instead of resisting, the creature let out a soft purr, completely content in her arms.
Then, his gaze landed on a particularly strange sight. A massive, cloud-like cat, its fur thick and unbelievably fluffy, rolled across the street.
Every time it rolled, it collected pieces of trash stuck to its coat, then stopped in front of a garbage bin and shook itself clean, dropping the trash inside before continuing on its way.
Lucius paused for a moment as he saw the beasts. They really resembled the ones from that world.
Not just simple animals, but beasts infused with abilities. Powers. Elements. These creatures were no ordinary pets. They were something far greater.
His fingers twitched. This isn''t just my world. It''s something else. Something altered. A parallel world.
His eyes flickered as he absorbed the realization. If this place had evolved differently from the world he knew... then what else had changed?
Lucius exhaled and started walking again. He promised himself that no matter what, he''ll figure this out.@@@@

They soon arrived at a school. Lucius remembered this school, as this was the one he had attended when he was in high school.
The structure was exactly as he remembered. Every brick, every window, the dull, uniform design of a standard school.
"But we as humans also evolved, though not in the same way as plants and animals."
"Unlike the beasts, our evolution required awakening. Humans needed to awaken their talents to form bonds with beasts and command them in battle."
He paused, glancing at the students. "But not all of us are capable of awakening."
Lucius narrowed his eyes.
"Only 99% of humanity has the ability to awaken a talent and become Beast Tamers. The remaining 1% are talentless, unable to tame beasts and doomed to live as ordinary humans."
A murmur spread through the classroom, some students shifting uncomfortably.
The teacher then lifted a crystal orb and held it for all to see. "This is the Awakening Crystal."
He then put it back down. "It was developed through extensive experimentation to help awaken talents more efficiently."
"Any seventeen-year-old and above who touches this crystal will unlock their talent and take their first step toward becoming a Beast Tamer."
Lucius stared at the orb. This world''s rules are a bit similar to the another world that I knew.
The teacher continued. "Talents are categorized into three tiers, determined by the color of the light emitted when you awaken."
He raised a finger. "First, Green Light means Common-Tier Talent. Those with this can tame one beast."
A second finger. "Second, Blue Light means Elite-Tier Talent. These individuals can tame up to three beasts."
Then, a final finger. "And lastly, the rarest of them all, which was Red Light, means Sovereign-Tier Talent."
"It is said that those who awaken this talent can tame up to ten beasts. They are the ones who stand at the peak of this world."
Lucius frowned after hearing what the teacher said, as this world was indeed his original world, but it was different at the same time.
But he then smirked as, although it was different, he was used to this system of beast tamers.
He was from the world of beast tamers after all, and now this world was too and it made this world more interesting than he thought. Discover hidden stories at My Virtual Library Empire
