Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Destroying the Undead Force

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Destroying the Undead Force

    ?

Qin Muye, Demon Blood, and Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster raced along their way; after the monster siege event, all the surrounding wild monsters had vanished, clearly having been enlisted as strongmen before being utterly annihilated by Qin Muye.

This forced march was genuinely exhausting; Qin Muye and Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster could hardly keep up with the main army, and eventually, it was only the active involvement of the Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster that kept them going; what else could they do?

It wasn''t possible just to leave them where they were, which made Qin Muye realize one thing: to forge iron, you must be strong yourself. In the future, when there were more heroes, he wouldn''t follow the others outside.

He would just hide in the Mage Tower and focus on his research.

Then, he took some leisure time to browse through the Points Store; he currently had 90,000 activity points. To trade for the Magic Guild and the Library together would cost 80,000 points, but that would only leave him with 10,000 points, lacking a slight bit for the basic buildings trade.

So choices had to be made.

In the end, Qin Muye still opted for the Magic Guild and the Library, the two rare building blueprints, and exchanged the remaining 10,000 points entirely for Reclassification Certificates, for ordinary Professions, not rare ones.

The professions were Noble, Merchant, Farmer, Miner, Woodcutter, Chef, Doctor, Mage, Knight, and Archer-ten in total.

The first seven were life-based professions, and the last three were combat professions. Mages were to complete his own legacy, Knights to foster cavalry, and Archers to foster ranged units, thus compensating for the lack of combat power in his territory.

Therefore, he now needed ten Champion Level Spirit Monsters to fill the gaps-an immense shortfall—since even now, he had only acquired two Champion Level Spirit Monsters, and finding ten more wouldn''t be easy.

In using these Reclassification Certificates, even elite versions wouldn''t suffice; after all, Qin Muye had seen the gap between ordinary professions and rare professions. Heroes couldn''t undergo Talent Ascension like Lords with gifted talents could, so the profession represented the potential of the hero.

There might be Epic professions above rare ones, but those weren''t attainable for Qin Muye; aiming too high was not a good thing.

What he could touch and what he couldn''t, these were things he was aware of. In terms of self-awareness, he could still manage.

Turning back to his own experiences, he was just an ordinary person who had studied hard through his school years and lacked physical fitness, being in a sub-healthy state; without great talent or exceptional gifts, staying grounded was the best way forward.

    "Master, we''ve arrived!"

The Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster carrying Qin Muye alerted him, who was lost in thought. Qin Muye snapped back to reality and saw a massive arched tomb with a spooky atmosphere around it; however, it was deathly quiet.

By then, Demon Blood had already sent a Frenzy Blood Spirit Monster to scout ahead, but as soon as the Spirit Monster stepped into the tomb, the prompt followed as expected.

    [Gold Coin x 763]

"Why only this much? Oh, right, I looted it beforehand."

Qin Muye looked at the collapsed Undead Territory, guessing that this small amount of resources was probably after dismantling all the structures, although what he did amounted to draining the pond to get all the fish. The best strategy would have been to occupy, but Qin Muye couldn''t even manage his own territory well, let alone an Undead Territory with such poor living conditions.

It was likely that aside from the Undead, other races would definitely encounter problems if they lived there long.

He had never thought about expanding towards the Undead side.

"Let''s head back. The Undead should be gone by now. Tomorrow, Demon Blood, you lead a team to start exploring the entire Red Wind Plain," he said.

If that Spider Walk Hero hadn''t lied, then probably the only remaining force in the entire Red Wind Plain would be his, but it was still better to be cautious and have Demon Blood

    investigate further.

    "Yes, master."

The Spirit Monsters returned triumphantly, but this time, they were returning with a full

    load.

Qin Muye looked at his inventory filled with numerous Skill Books and Magic Books, which made him smile from ear to ear.

These were undoubtedly books left behind by the Mages from the Seven Cities Alliance. Even if they were presented as books, just like his previous "Basic Elemental Meditation," they had turned into a slew of Skills or various Magics such as Magic Power, Tactics, Reconnaissance Skill, directly fattening him up.

However, they were at most Intermediate level, and there were no Advanced ones. Clearly, Advanced ones must involve key Knowledge, so they were all taken away.

These remaining books were probably just basic books for the Mages; otherwise, they wouldn''t have been discarded so easily.

"Let''s go back and set up the Library and the Magic Guild first. When that''s done, stuff all these books in there; they are all the foundation of my territory," he said.

Once the Library is established, Skill Books can be placed inside. Heroes can then learn skills from them, essentially turning one-time-use Skill Books into multi-use ones.

However, learning requires the consumption of Experience and Resources. Experience is paid by the Heroes themselves, but Resources come out of the territory''s account, mostly consisting of Gold Coins or Special Resources.

The Magic Guild will have a similar function, except it pertains to skills and Magic.
