Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Plea from a Fallen Divine
?
"Master, there is a message." Black Hand knocked on the door and then spoke.
Qin Muye, who was conducting an experiment to transform a Magic Power Spirit Monster into an artificial Champion Level Spirit Monster, looked up with some confusion.
He had already said that if there was nothing significant, not to disturb him. What message could be worth interrupting his work for?
"What message?" Qin Muye asked without stopping the work in his hands.
"Demon Blood and the others have found the site of that divine being''s downfall. We may have a chance to solve the Red Wind Disaster," Black Hand respectfully reported.
Qin Muye frowned, "Are you sure? If I''m not mistaken, the region where that divine being and the Great Mage died must be the place most shrouded in dense Magic Power and Divine Power. How could they possibly get in?"
Such a site of downfall was definitely in the most dangerous core region. Demon Blood and Evil Tongue simply couldn''t enter, so how could they possibly find it?
"The divine being has not completely perished. There is still a lingering soul fragment that cannot leave the Red Wind Disaster area, but it has promised us corresponding benefits."
"From the feedback of Demon Blood and the others, the state of this divine being is not good, and it seems that it could dissipate at any moment."
Hearing this, Qin Muye''s frown deepened. This clearly didn''t bode well.
He then finished stitching up the Magic Power Spirit Monster, reset it in place, and after administering some Healing Magic, finally said, "You should realize there is a problem here, right? Anyway, tell me about this divine being''s background."
"Yes, Master. The being takes the form of a half-goat person and calls itself Pan, claiming to be the god of Shepherds, Hunters, and Farmers, and also known as the Forest God."
"It promised that if we are willing to extract its Divinity from within the Red Wind Territory and provide it with sacrifices, it will grant us its blessings."
Qin Muye shook his head, "I don''t believe in gods. Do you, Black Hand?"
"Master, I also don''t believe, but this is a benefit. Whether we treat it as a wild monster to slay or imprison it in Prison, it will be your achievement." Black Hand truly lived up to his name, coveting what belonged to others.
"But you should also know the risks, right? We''ve all seen the terror of the Red Wind Disaster, and no Spirit Monster can move about within it," Qin Muye pointed out the critical issue.
In Black Hand''s eyes, the value of a Bidirectional Teleportation Gate was greater than that of Demon Blood, as it was a doorway to the outside world.
But in Qin Muye''s eyes, while the outside world had great value, it also came with significant dangers.
He believed that risks and opportunities were equivalent. The greater the opportunity, the greater the risk.
The Red Wind Plain held only the remains of a fallen deity and a dead Great Mage, but the outside world had the living. Which was more dangerous-did that even need to be said? "Now, the Red Wind is our protection, not a limitation. Unless we truly face restrictions, the value within the Red Wind Plain far surpasses that of the outside world."
"Yes, Master, I will carry out your will!" Black Hand said before leaving Qin Muye''s lab to arrange for the next steps.
Qin Muye reflected on this himself.
"A divine being, huh? The good do not come; those who come do not mean well."
The half-goat deity Pan sounded somewhat familiar to Qin Muye. He seemed to recall a similar deity from his past life, but he quickly put it out of his mind and returned to his
experiments instead.
As for him joining the exploration?
What a joke.
Wouldn''t he just be a drag with his weak constitution? Heroes like Demon Blood were suited for combat-they should be the ones to go. He didn''t need to add to the chaos.
As a Lord, why meddle in everything personally? Just knowing how to utilize talents and heed
advice was enough.
Otherwise, why would he bother to nurture hero units at all?
Specialization in one''s craft was the key. It wasn''t about a logistics researcher going to the
front lines to fight monsters when he could have simply been a Mage or an Elemental Master. Why become a Scholar at all?
