Chapter 108: Chapter 108: The Little Darling of the Hell Witch

    ?

"Just a little bit more, just a little bit more, my precious, hatch quickly."

The aged witch hunched over, watching the meat egg nearly a meter tall in front of her. The originally black-green flesh had started to show dangerous lines across its surface as if it had been altered by the witch.

"The Slender Specter failed? What a waste, no wonder it only dares to attack children and women," the witch said with a gloomy expression.

The Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit she had summoned was intended to harvest fear and souls to nourish this meat egg, but the Slender Specter was different. Compared to the Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit, the Slender Specter was more like a curse that would appear when someone triggered the corresponding hex; otherwise, it would just kill at random.

The only similarity was that both were evil spirits from Hell.

Compared to Hell, the witch was more optimistic about this egg from beyond the heavens.

Every time she infused it with fear and the breath of Hell, the egg would swell a bit more, and its greed alarmed the witch, but the greedier the better. The more it consumed, the easier it would be to bind it with a contract later.

When the last wisp of fear was infused, the top of the meat egg burst open, and a bizarre insect with four pairs of limbs and a slender tail crawled out, its limbs trailing flaps of flesh that made it look like a cross between a crab and a scorpion.

The witch was startled because the difference was too significant; the meat egg was a meter tall, while the strange insect was only the size of a human face, which didn''t match its original size at all.

Before the witch could react, she found the insect suddenly lunging at her with shocking speed.

This left her with no time to respond, and the bizarre insect had already pounced onto her face. Its four pairs of limbs clamped onto her cheeks like steel pincers, while its slender tail instantly wrapped around her neck.

But this was not the main issue; the main issue was that the insect seemed to have injected something into her body, making her terrified, followed by a sense of suffocation.

After struggling for several minutes, the witch finally tore the insect off her face, which now bore several long bloodstains, and her neck showed clear signs of strangulation.

"Dead? Impossible, how can it die so easily?" The witch looked at the motionless insect on the ground; by now, it had already lost any trace of life force.

"This can''t be, how can such a powerful extraterrestrial being just die, especially since I''ve fed it with the power of Hell and fear, it can''t possibly be dead," the witch showed an expression of disbelief.

She knew that the egg had consumed a lot of her resources, and if she could just make a successful pact with it, then extracting the life force of this alien insect would certainly allow her to live another hundred years or even advance her witchcraft further.

Her power came from Hell, or rather, all extraordinary power originated from Hell. The Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit was such, the Slender Specter was as well, and even the power of the sausage-stuffing murderer Cecil was from Hell.

Once she died, she would fall into Hell, no pleasant place, with devils, demons, evil spirits, and all sorts of horrifying creatures.

However, escape was not impossible; every time she fled back to the mortal world, it was a dangerous journey, and she also had to solve the issue of life force. The witch had once fallen into Hell and barely escaped with her life.

In the process, she had obtained a vast amount of witchcraft knowledge, allowing her to find a way to avoid death.

If the Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit failed to kill Andy, who was imprisoned, then that would amount to a bad debt, and the witch would suffer a significant loss.

Summoning the Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit had been an investment for her, which she had thought would be a simple transaction. She never expected it to end up like this. Otherwise, why would she provoke Qin Muye? It was only to ensure that the Pumpkin Head Evil Spirit could continue its mission of revenge and fulfill the contract.

Perhaps she had grown too accustomed to favorable winds, which was why she had taken such

    a risk.

But now it was too late for any regrets. It was time to leave this place and find somewhere else

    to lay low.

She sprang into action quickly, packing all her important belongings. As for the Outer Heaven Meat Egg, she abandoned it; firstly because it was too large and secondly because it was dead,

    rendering it of little value.

Therefore, it was better to take essential witchcraft materials and concoctions and leave. She could make a comeback from a new location. As for the rest of her belongings, which she

couldn''t take, she had to part with them tearfully.

Compared to these possessions, her life was far more important.

Packing finished swiftly, and then, dragging her weary body, she left the cottage she had lived

in for decades, step by step.

"Next time I come back, I will make sure to turn your body into a Resurrected Corpse," the witch said bitterly before heading into the deeper wilderness.

Having lived here for decades, she was very familiar with the overall environment-far more than any seasoned hunter or Forest Patrol. However, as she walked, she felt increasingly exhausted and did not hesitate to drink down a potion, "Damn this curse, I need to find a

    place to remove it soon."

"And where did that insect come from, to have birthed a curse targeting me?" the witch grumbled as she walked. She was an expert in curses, but to her surprise, she had stumbled on

    something as unexpected as this.

Yet, she had overlooked one thing; if this thing wasn''t a curse, then that could explain

    everything.

Unfortunately, years of immersion in witchcraft had solidified her way of thinking in that area, which was why she had missed this crucial point.
