Chapter 109: Chapter 109 Let the Terminal Transfer Position to Me

"Seven." Jinsheng replied.
"Wasn’t it five?" Caicai asked, puzzled.
As soon as the words were spoken, all seven Beast Husbands turned to look at Jinsheng.
Jinsheng climbed down from Su Ye’s waist, walked over, and pressed a hand on Caicai’s head: "Why are you here, exactly?"
"I just came to check on you, to see if there’s anything you need help with. I want topensate you." The system pitifully twiddled its fingers.
"Compensate me, huh?" Jinsheng sneered.
She gestured to Li with her eyes, and Li promptly unfolded his Domain in their home.
Jinsheng raised her chin at Caicai: "You’re a system, so you must be pretty capable, right?"
"Of course!" Caicai puffed out its chest with pride. "I’m the most outstanding system of the new generation, all my hosts are Long Aotian-level figures!"
"Compensate me with a world. This world is too dangerous, I’m scared." Jinsheng said.
Caicai’s newly lifted head instantly drooped, and its back hunched considerably: "I’m just a system, you think I’m the Wishing Pool deity or something?"
"None of my hosts have taken over a world yet, how am I supposed to give you one?"
"So you can’t give me a world?" Jinsheng asked, her tone probing. "Do you know who’s in charge of this world, then?"
"Let me check." Caicai responded, quickly gathering information: "The Mist Continent is fully controlled by the Terminal, managing it for 70 years, 8 months, 12 days, 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 6 seconds."
"Pretty detailed, huh." Jinsheng smiled, then held out her hand to Caicai: "If you can’tpensate with another world, then let’s talk about the Mist Continent."
Caicai looked up, surprised, stared at Jinsheng, and started gesturing wildly: "The Mist Continent is under the Terminal’s control. If I want you to have it, I’d have to take down the Terminal first!"
"Hmm." Jinsheng chuckled lightly but didn’t refute.
Caicai’s jaw dropped in shock, and it pointed at itself with trembling fingers: "You want me to take down the Terminal?"
"I never said that. I just want the Mist Continent." Jinsheng countered.
"I’m just a support system! How could I possibly tackle the Terminal, aaaahhh..." Caicai wailed.
Caicai sat down on the ground with a thud, clinging to Jinsheng’s leg and bawling: "Mom, can I call you mom? Let’s negotiate some otherpensation, please."
"Stop going around iming rtives." Jinsheng tried to shake it off with her leg, but Caicai clung tightly like its life depended on it.
"You were the one who said you’dpensate me. I made my request, and here you are, failing to deliver." Jinsheng spoke in disappointment: "Where’s your sincerity?"
"I may not be able to take down the Terminal and crown you ruler directly, but I can assist you in taking it down!" Caicai began listing its features.
Jinsheng listened and thought it sounded simr to Bai Yan’s system, though Caicai had a few functions Bai Yan’s system didn’t.
"You want to bind with me?" Jinsheng questioned.
"I can’t bind with you right now." Caicai shook its head, quickly adding an exnation upon seeing Jinsheng’s displeasure: "It’s because my previous host’s mission isn’tplete yet, and we haven’t unbound, so I can’t bind with you temporarily."
"Your previous host? The one you mistook me for?" Jinsheng asked curiously.
After all, it was Caicai’s mistake in identifying her as its host that caused her to transmigrate in the first ce.
"Yes, it’s him." Caicai nodded. "Don’t worry, he’s very capable. Once hepletes the mission, I’ll earn rewards, and I’ll split them with you."
Looking at Caicai’s seemingly genuine expression, Jinsheng didn’t take its words at face value.
She judged systems and people alike not by what they said but by what they did.
Actions speak louder than words and are the only way to prove integrity.
"Your host’s mission isn’tplete, yet you came to see me. Won’t that affect him?" Jinsheng asked with concern.
Caicai proudly lifted its head again: "Don’t worry. My host is following the Long Aotian storyline; he’ll be fine even if I step away for a bit."
"Long Aotian?" Jinsheng perked up at the oddity and asked: "Your host is male?"
"Of course, Long Aotian is male. Female ones are Feng Aotian." Caicai exined, nodding in affirmation.
"Heh." Jinshengughed in irritation, beckoning to Caicai with her finger: "Come here, I’ll show you something special."
"Generous stranger! To think you’ve been thinking about me all these years, even preparing a gift for me, boohoohoo—"
Caicai eagerly approached, only to be pinned to the ground by Jinsheng again.
"Are you blind or what? Look at my gender and your host’s gender!" Jinsheng roared angrily:
"Our genders are different! Back when you mistook me for your host, I asked how you could mess it up if the genders didn’t match!"
"Waaah, Mommy!" Caicai wailed, tears streaming as it exined: "I’m just a system! Systems don’t have genders! How was I supposed to know you humans have two genders when I first appeared!"
"Your data was so simr to his, that’s why I made the mistake!"
"Mommy, I understand now, I was wrong! I swear I won’t make such mistakes in the future, waaah!"
"You phony!" Jinsheng was both enraged and helpless. The situation had reached a point where all she could do was demand furtherpensation from Caicai.
"I’m a system; I’m not even human to begin with." Caicai sat on the ground with a pitiful expression.
"How long can you stay here?" Before negotiatingpensation, Jinsheng decided to gauge the system’s limitations.
"My host leveled up, and so did I. Now I cane visit you more often in the future." Caicai exined while wiping away its tears. "This time, all my mission rewards go to you. I willpensate you."
As it spoke, Caicai began pulling items out of thin air, piling up threerge boxes on the ground.
It introduced them: "This one contains nutritional potions; drink one and you won’t need food for a week."
"I also have healing potions, strengthening potions, and rare minerals."
One box of potions, one box of minerals.
Jinsheng curiously eyed the final two-meter-high box: "What’s this? A refrigerator?"
"It’s a household manager." Caicai opened the box, revealing a lifelike Mechanical Man inside.
Jinsheng nced at the Mechanical Man without much excitement, even though it looked indistinguishable from a real person.
She wasn’t impressed because she had lived in the Terminal’s Shelter before, where aside from females, the rest were robots.
"This is the most popr lifelike Mechanical Man—it can clean, cook, fight, and even raise kids. It’s capable of recing work done by over a dozen people." Caicai boasted, seeing Jinsheng’sck of interest.
"That’s not called a Mechanical Man; that’s called a cow-horse." Jinsheng corrected. "Top-tier cow-horse, at that."
Doing the work of over a dozen people, all on its own? What else could it be but a tragic workhorse?
"Still, it’s very practical. You can setmand bindings." Caicai sulked. "Right now, this is all I can pull out. I’llpensate you, but please give me some time."
"Once my hostpletes more missions, I’ll earn better rewards."
Jinsheng looked at it—its face resembling that of a three-year-old, gazing up at her with the utmost pity. Even with her firmly nted viin persona, she couldn’t bring herself to outright refuse.
"Gradualpensation is fine, but don’t abandon me like you did when you brought me here—no customer service at all." Jinsheng reminded.
"I won’t. Last time was an emergency; if I didn’t go after my host quickly, he’d have died. That’s why I was so rushed." Caicai quickly exined.
"Still, about these items..." Jinsheng picked up a potion and examined it. It clearly wasn’t something produced in the Mist Continent.
She asked Caicai: "You and your host aren’t from this world, are you?"
"Of course not." Caicai responded. "If we were, I could’ve visited you immediately after binding with my host."
"Then what world is it?" Using her years of experience reading novels, Jinsheng made an educated guess: "The Interster World?"
