Chapter 264: Have You Ever Beaten Up a Jiao?

Chapter 264: Chapter 264: Have You Ever Beaten Up a Jiao?

Jin Ao followed his gaze and was shocked to find that he was looking at a female.

He was furious and punched him in the face immediately: "Are you nning to betray Xiao Yan!"

Ming Huaxin, who was originally with her Beast Husband, was secretly monitoring the safety of Mist Base.

Noticed a fight erupting in the crowd, she furrowed her brows and approached, sharply reprimanding: "Mist Base prohibits internal conflict. Are you trying to break the rules?"

Ming Huaxin stopped Jin Ao and called out to Qing Zelin, who had been knocked to the ground: "Get up, whose family are you from?"

But the person in front of her didn’t move, still lying t on the ground.

Ming Huaxin frowned, her Beast Husband Yi Le straightforwardly reached out and helped Qing Zelin up.

When she saw Qing Zelin clearly, she froze in ce: "It’s you."

"Why are you here?" Ming Huaxin was stunned upon seeing Qing Zelin.

Qing Zelin kept his head down, avoiding her gaze.

Ming Huaxin’s eyes moved between Qing Zelin and Jin Ao, a cold smirk tugging at her lips: "If you’re here, then Bai Yan must be nearby."

"Couldn’t find you, but you’ve delivered yourselves right to me."

Ming Huaxin quickly contacted Xiao Jinsheng through the Intelligent Brain.

Looking at the message from Ming Huaxin, Xiao Jinsheng nced at the Star System Map, where two figures had been highlighted—Qing Zelin and Jin Ao.

When these two approached Mist Base without binding to the Intelligent Brain, the map had already gged them.

    But the two acted suspiciously.

Jin Ao looked even more like a thief.

Xiao Jinsheng spected that Bai Yan must be scheming something, so she had the map keep them under surveince all along.

If it hadn’t been her permission, these two, without Intelligent Brain ess, wouldn’t have been able to enter Mist Base.

But after several days inside, the two hadn’t done anything.

They were merely wandering around Mist Base, as if searching for someone.

Observing this, Xiao Jinsheng grew puzzled.

Who could make Jin Ao so anxious to find?

Could Bai Yan have gone missing?

She had originally nned to appear before Jin Ao, read his thoughts to determine whom he was seeking.

But rebooting Mist Continent’s Defense system to obliterate the Insect n was more pressing.

Thus, Jin Ao and Qing Zelin remained under surveince via the map, with little time to deal with them.

Unexpectedly, the two ended up fighting today.

Xiao Jinsheng directly used the map to confirm the absence of any insect or insect egg-rted items on them beforemanding them to move to Demon Castle.

Jin Ao was initially enraged, intending to interrogate Ming Huaxin walking in front about where they were being taken.

But then, he spotted a familiar figure—her face always bearing a wicked smile—as she approached.

"Xiao Jinsheng!" Jin Ao eximed, overwhelmed.

"Oh, isn’t this Jin Ao?" Xiao Jinsheng sneered, "Where’s your Female Master, my dear neighbor? Why isn’t she here?"

"It’s Xiao Yan who sent me to find you," Jin Ao hastily retorted, "She has something for you."

"You’re looking for me?" Xiao Jinsheng’s smile froze.

"Yes, exactly you," Jin Ao nodded.

Xiao Jinsheng’s suspicious gazended on Jin Ao.

Seeing her utterly distrustful expression, Jin Ao grew more anxious.

Jin Ao: [I’ve already warned you, this wicked woman couldn’t possibly show kindness to save anyone.]

Jin Ao: [Xiao Yan even talked about asking this wicked woman to rescue us.]

Jin Ao: [Just a slip of paper—how could this wicked woman possibly go into the Insect n’s territory to save us?]

"Ever fought Flood Dragons?" Xiao Jinsheng turned her head slightly, looking at Chen Yunji.

Chen Yunji shook his head: "Never fought one."

"Hit him." Xiao Jinsheng raised her hand, pointing straight at Jin Ao.

    This damned Golden Flood Dragon.

She had long wanted to beat him.

    Wicked woman, wicked woman!

If anything, you’re just an idiot!

    "Okay," Chen Yunji responded.

In a sh, Jin Ao, still absorbed in his internal turmoil, let out a painful scream as he was hurled into the air.

He hadn’t even seen clearly who had attacked him.

A silver-white shadow blurred as it flickered around him, pounding him senseless.

Iron-like fists descended like raindrops upon him.

Jin Ao was beaten into a daze, copsing to the ground like a pile of mud.

    Soon, Healing Superpower enveloped him.

The injuries healed, but the pain lingered.

Jin Ao dazedly opened his eyes, seeing Yu Yunxiao coldly retract the healing energy and walk away, while Xiao Jinsheng maliciously smiled, approaching.

She beckoned to Mo Jiao: "Ever fought Flood Dragons?"

"No, but I’d like to," Mo Jiao replied with a grin.

"There’s one right here," Xiao Jinsheng gestured with her hand.

Mo Jiao cooperated, and an Illusion Realm enveloped Jin Ao.

Chen Yunji had already given Jin Ao a beating.

    The injuries were physical.

But now, it was time for something different.

    To hurt his soul.

Within the illusion, Jin Ao sobbed miserably as he endured repeated betrayals from Bai Yan.

His heart was ripped out, his tendons drawn, and his scales peeled off.

When both his body and soul screamed with agony, Xiao Jinsheng walked up to him with a smile: "Now, spill it—what does Bai Yan have for me?"

"You!" Jin Ao’s eyes zed as he red at Xiao Jinsheng.

Confused about why, despite the feud between their families, she had viciously assaulted him right upon their reunion.

But he still had to fulfill the task Bai Yan had given him.

Thinking back to the scenes he had just witnessed through Mo Jiao’s illusion realm.

Jin Ao felt a peculiar unease brewing in his heart.

Yet, his mind was hazy, and he couldn’t process it all.

Taking out the slip of paper he had kept hidden all along, he initially intended to toss it at Xiao Jinsheng’s feet.

But then, realizing it was written by Bai Yan, he grudgingly handed it to Xiao Jinsheng.

"Rescue you all from the Insect n’s grasp—and the things I want are in Bai Yan’s possession," Xiao Jinsheng sneered coldly.

Whatever could she want from Bai Yan, she didn’t even know herself—how could Bai Yan possibly know?

She had read Bai Yan’s mind, and nowhere did it suggest Bai Yan might hold something she desired.

Was Bai Yan treating her like an insect n member to deceive?

"Not happening. You can wait to die." Xiao Jinsheng flung the slip of paper aside, preparing to leave.

The Insect n had taken over Mist Continent, with their most fortified base being the site of the Insect Brain.

And Bai Yan was situated alongside the Insect Brain.

Insect Brain 2.0 would soon be obliterated by her specially-treated Star Stone Energy.

As for Bai Yan, an enemy, Xiao Jinsheng had no intentions of sparing her either.

Destroying her along with the insects would make for a cleaner resolution.

    Saving her?

Clearly, Bai Yan had stayed too long with the Insect n, her mind muddled.

"Xiao Jinsheng, we used to be neighbors!" Jin Ao hurriedly called out, attempting to stop her.

"Neighbors?" Xiao Jinsheng turned back with a sneer: "Horrific neighbors, maybe?"

Her voice turned frost-like as she questioned: "If I were bound to the Insect Brain masquerading as a system, and for my own benefit, I altered sixteen years of Bai Yan’s memories—making her forget her past, her family, everything, even herself!"

"Made her mentally unstable, turning her into a vtile lunatic!"

"Then came to you and Bai Yan, begging for help for me and my family."

"iming that because we were once neighbors, you ought to save me."

"Would you save me?" Xiao Jinsheng sneered.

Her mocking gaze fell on Jin Ao: "Have you forgotten? During that battle in the Tree nting Area, our feud wasid bare for all to see."

"Xiao Yan... Xiao Yan would never do such things!" Jin Ao countered, "The fight in the Tree nting Area happened because you’ve always been pressuring Xiao Yan."

"Just shut up." Xiao Jinsheng raised her hand indifferently, cutting off his voice via the Star System Map: "I have no interest inmunicating with fools."

"Want me to save Bai Yan?" Xiao Jinsheng chuckled, simultaneously pulling up a virtual screen and thrusting it before Jin Ao.

"Saving Bai Yan isn’t going to happen," Xiao Jinsheng said. "But I can show you how Bai Yan meets her end."

With that, her gaze shifted to the virtual screen.

But as she clearly saw the scene disyed, she froze in shock.

    What was she witnessing...

She saw shadows of ck terminals and an erged Insect Brain vying for Bai Yan.
