Chapter 241: Chapter 241 Visiting the Sick

At this thought, Zhao Jieyun’s heart suddenly lifted, as she stood still.
Yang Yun almost bumped into her lower back: "Mom, what’s wrong?"
Zhao Jieyun replied, "It’s nothing, I just remembered something. Let’s go. Didn’t you want to get some apples? Let’s buy them from another ce."
She thought to herself, therade from back then should have brought the girl to Beijing; why did shee from the vige? But they look so much alike!
Her heart was filled with doubt, and she missed several times when her daughter spoke to her.
Yang Yun thought, Mom doesn’t know what she’s thinking. Damn Sun Chan, she’s really showing off, her temper is getting bigger and bigger, as if she’s something special. Hmph! I just can’t stand it!
When the dayes for me to leave, I’ll deal with her properly once I know where she is.
Sun Chan finished packing a few pretty apples and was about to leave.
Yang Liu asked, "Who is that girl? So arrogant, seems quite bullying."
"Don’t mind her. This girl relies on her family’s resources and doesn’t care about anyone. She’ll learn her lesson in the future."
"But don’t you think that mother looks a bit like you?"
Sun Chanughed, "I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere, but I can’t remember."
"Hmm. Actually, you two don’t look the same, but there’s still a strange simrity, what could it be?"
Sun Chan didn’t pay attention, busying herself with things, and thought about taking out some change to buy food for Wang Guihua.
Yang Liu sent her off: "Come back early, okay? Sister Guihua will be here shortly, and we’ll have dinner together, maybe a hotpot?"
Sun Chan nodded with a smile and chatted a bit, then carried the fruit to the hospital.
Wang Guihua was lying there, looking pale, but seemed to be out of serious trouble.
Sun Chan walked over and ced the fruit nearby, "How are you, Auntie? Are you feeling better?"
In recent days, Wang Guihua calmed down a lot, feeling waves of mncholy, thinking that she had lived quite afortable life. Growing up in a privileged family, she was considered one of the elite. Her family had someone to help with housework, her rtionship with her husband, though not always harmonious, was respectful, with her in charge of big and small matters.
Except for the inconsiderate Gu Junming; luckily, he rarely came home, and she was toozy to bother with his affairs. Who knew everything would change when her son insisted on marrying Yang Hongying — not only did the son stop obeying, but the husband constantly lost his temper with her. Why is that? Getting older and being disliked like this?
She looked at Sun Chan, thinking perhaps it’s because the eldest daughter-inw is unsatisfactory, and the second daughter-inw isn’t to her liking either, which must be why she’s agitated. This girl Sun Chan also had her own thoughts, even able to attract Gu Junming!
But ultimately, she wasn’t her biological child and couldn’t be treated like Yang Hongying.
Wang Guihua smiled, "Thank you for looking after me."
Sun Chan replied, "Don’t mention it, Mom, it’s the least I could do. What do you want for lunch? I’ll fetch it for you."
As she spoke, she picked up the fruit knife on the table and started peeling apples for Wang Guihua.
Wang Guihua asked, "How’s Gu Junming? Is he busy? He should be on vacation now, right?"
"Yeah, something came up, he’s busy with it."
Wang Guihua thought, what’s the matter, he just doesn’t want to see me, really hypocritical.
Regardless of what others do, once Wang Guihua got that knot in her heart, she couldn’t think they were acting out of goodwill. Fortunately, Sun Chan didn’t expect them to like her either, as long as they could get along smoothly.
Sun Chan handed the apple to Wang Guihua, who only took a few bites before putting it aside.
"Thank you. I’m really useless, just argued a bit with my son and daughter-inw, and ended up like this. As for Yang Hongying, how could she be so hurtful, even if it’s not her first marriage!"
"Don’t take it to heart, Auntie."
Sun Chan couldn’t support Wang Guihua in bad-mouthing Yang Hongying, naturally wouldn’t help Yang Hongying against Wang Guihua either. She wasn’t a smooth talker, so she just dryly said that.
Wang Guihua became angrier, ring at Sun Chan while she lowered her head and dealt with the apple skin.
"You tell me, how could a few words from me lead to threatened miscarriage? How fragile is that? Can’t I say a few words?"
Sun Chan chuckled, "Auntie, your health matters more, don’t think about unpleasant things, and don’t worry Uncle. The doctor says you should be discharged soon; you must maintain emotional stability. If you be seriously ill, everyone will be worried."
Wang Guihua looked at Sun Chan, this girl didn’t respond at all!
"Should I get some hot water to help wipe you down?"
Wang Guihua wanted to refuse, but she had been feeling very ufortable and hadn’t bathed. She really needed a wipe-down, especially given the growing heat.
Seeing Wang Guihua didn’t refuse, Sun Chan took the basin and went out.
She helped Wang Guihua wipe down a bit.
After keepingpany for a short while, she left when the maid arrived.
Returning home, she didn’t bother with much and first took a nap, exhausted.
It wasn’t until the afternoon that she went to the hotel.
Sure enough, she saw Guihua and Yang Liu preparing the hotpot ingredients.
The pot held milky-white broth with top-quality ingredients, which Guihua got from the neighboring hotpot ce. Her good rapport got her whatever she asked for.
She prepared lots of meat slices, all cut from meats she bought herself, cabbage, and a pile of potato skins.
Seeing Sun Chan arrive, Guihua smiled, "Come on, it’s mealtime!"
Sun Chan smiled and approached, "Smells great!"
"Of course, it’s my favorite thing to make."
Everyone washed their hands and ate; Guihua asked about the matters over there, and Sun Chan shared.
Guihua said, "So the clothes over there are that popr? Then I’ll go buy some."
"I’ll go too," Yang Liuughed, "Bring me along."
"Sure! We’ll go together; Sun Chan, you don’t mind, do you?"
Sun Chan quickly smiled, "What do I have to mind? But this business does depend on luck. If the clothes turn out unpopr, we’ll lose money."
Savvy Guihuaughed, "Don’t worry, even if we lose money, it’s not your fault. But isn’t your Gu Junming back yet?"
As she spoke, she picked some thin slices of beef and gave them to Sun Chan.
Sun Chan furrowed her brows slightly and exined the situation.
Guihua sneered, "These people are just bored. That Su Miao has high ideals, and Su Jinxiu isn’t a good person either. If she hadn’t threatened to ruin Su Miao’s reputationpletely, people wouldn’t act like that, right?"
"Indeed. Each worse than the other," Yang Liu said.
Sun Chan said, "No matter how much the adults fuss, I just hope it won’t affect the kids."
