    Seizing the moment as Mo Chuxi reached for his phone, Yan Xinxin hurriedly finished dressing and turned to dash toward the door.


    "Are you sure?"


    Mo Chuxi''s sword-like brows furrowed as he listened to the voice on the other end of the phone. His dark eyes narrowed as he turned to the fleeing Yan Xinxin, a glint of sharp coldness shing within.


    Yan Xinxin had no time to think—her mind was nk, consumed by one thought: to escape. Just like five years ago.


    But just as she cracked the door open, an overpowering force mped down on her arm.


    With a loud "bang," the door mmed shut. In that instant, Yan Xinxin vaguely heard somemotioning from outside, but before she could process it, Mo Chuxi''s form loomed over her, pinning her firmly against the door.


    "Let... let go of me!"


    Yan Xinxin''s face flushed as she strained to break free.


    Mo Chuxi wasn''t wearing clothes, only a bath towel loosely wrapped around his waist.


    His bare chest pressed against her soft form, and the cool, pristine scent of him forcefully invaded her breaths.
