"No need to trouble yourself."
When Maggie heard that, she understood that Isabe was likely on a video call with Julia and
Franklin.
at meant Franklin was probably having a meal with Julia right now.
She spoke in a soft tone, "It''s okay, let them chat. Don''t disturb them."
After hanging up, Maggie sent a message to Isabe, asking how her day was at school, if she had made any new friends, what she had for lunch, and reminding her to listen to the teacher and take a nap when the time came. Over ten minutester, Maggie finally received a voice message from Isabe.
"I know, Mom. I''ll take a good nap."
In the afternoon, after spending the whole day with Sherry, Maggie found her personality to be lively, sociable, and quite capable at work.
By 6 PM, just as Maggie was about to leave for home, Sherry came over, saying she wanted to invite her to dinner as a thank-you for today''s guidance.
"This is part of my job. You don''t need to be so polite, Sherry," Maggie said.
Sherry tried to insist, but just then, Maggie''s phone rang.
It was a call from her mother-inw, Ste.
Maggie nced at the screen in surprise. She couldn''t believe her eyes.
Ste had never been fond of her as a daughter-inw, and usually, she ignored her. Over the years, Maggie could count on one hand the number of times Ste had contacted her. Maggie picked up the phone, puzzled, "Mom?"
"York has secretly been racing carstely, and I''m worried about him. I''ll send you the address, go

and bring him back." Ste said briskly without any extra words, then hung up.
A few secondster, an address arrived on Maggie''s phone.
Looking at it, Maggie saw that it was an address for an outdoor race track.
She turned to Sherry and said, "Sorry, I have an urgent matter to attend to. I need to leave now."
More than an hourter, Maggiei finally arrived at the destination.
The race track wasrge, and there were still quite a few people around despite it beingte. It was loud and chaotic.
She called York, but he didn''t answer, so she had no choice but to search for him.
After almost twenty minutes, she finally found him.
York looked surprised when he saw her, "Sister-inw? What are you doing here?"
Maggie exined her reason foring.
York raised his hand in an oath,
"Today, my idol, the number one female racer in North America, CC, ispeting for the first time sinceing back to the country.
I didn''t want to miss it! I promise, after I watch the race, I''ll go back right away and won''t do anything reckless! So, sister-inw, don''t worry. You can go back now!" "But-"
Before Maggie could finish speaking, arge crowd of people started shouting "CC''s" name excitedly.
"My idol ising out?!"
Hearing the noise, Yorkpletely ignored Maggie, excitedly shouting along with the crowd. He even grabbed a pair of binocrs and focused on the racing starting line.
His face was full of fanatical excitement. Maggie was a bit taken aback and asked, "When did you start liking racing?"

Though she hadn''t spent much time with York, she knew that he hadn''t been interested in racing
before.
"Before, I wasn''t interested in racing - but that was before I met my idol! You should see her, sister inw! She''s so beautiful and cool! Once you see her, you''ll understand why I''m into racing
now!
And I''m sure you''ll be just as fascinated by her! After all, she''s perfect, there''s no way anyone wouldn''t love her!"
At that moment, CC officially made her appearance.
York went crazy again, shouting along with the crowd. For a moment, hepletely forgot about Maggie.
Maggie realized she hadn''t had dinner yet.
Seeing him so excited and absorbed in watching CC, with all the noise around, she figured he
wouldn''t be hearing anything she said anyway. So, she decided to stay and watch the race with him before taking him back.
