My Dad Please Come 781

Brittany looked up at Horace, her eyes shining with emotion. “I love you.”

Without hesitation, Horace reached out and pulled her tightly into his arms. It was as if he wanted to hold her so close that she became a part of him, woven into his very bones.

It turned out she loved him, too.

    They loved each other.

A surge of joy swelled in Horace’s chest. He wasn’t sure he could believe it. “Say it again. Say you love me again.”

Tears of happiness streamed down Brittany’s face as she cried out, ‘I love you! I loved you before, I love you now, and I will love you forever—always!”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his once more.

Horace felt her softness, her warmth, and he returned the kiss with all the love he held inside.

Nearby, Wendy pped her hands joyfully. “Congrattions, you two!”

When Horace and Brittany finally pulled apart, they turned toward Wendy. “Thank you, Wendy.”

Wendy lifted one elegant brow. “Don’t tter me. Honestly, I didn’t do much.”

Horace held Brittany closer. “Don’t be modest. I know you’ve been quietly bringing us together, exposing Ida’s schemes. Without you, Brittany and I might never have been honest with each other and revealed our true feelings.”

Brittany’s gratitude shone in her eyes as she looked at Wendy. “Thank you for everything you’ve done for us.”

Brittany adored Wendy. Whenever she thought of that troublesome Jessica, she secretly wished Wendy were her own daughter. Wendy’s lips curled into a gentle smile. “Ms. Brewer, now let me help you treat the curse inside you.”

Horace was quick to reply, “Use my cardiogen!”

    Wendyughed softly. “That’s not necessary.”

Horace froze, puzzled. “Not necessary? Does that mean my cardiogen won’t work?”

Wendy smiled knowingly. “Actually, I lied. I don’t actually need your cardiogen to cure Ms. Brewer. I just wanted to test your feelings for her, to help you two reconcile.”

Horace nced at Brittany, who nodded in agreement.

He smiled warmly. “Are you confident you can cure Brittany?”

Wendy nodded firmly. “Absolutely. Ms. Brewer, please lie down and let me begin the treatment.”

Brittanyy back as Wendy took out her silver needles and started the needle therapy.

The treatmentsted two full hours, as Wendy carefully worked through every pressure point on Brittany’s body. Slowly, the pale, drawn look faded from Brittany’s face, reced by a healthy glow.

When Wendy withdrew thest needle, Horace stepped forward anxiously. “Is it done?”

Wendy nodded. “Yes. Ms. Brewer, I’ve cleared the curse from your body. You’re healthy now.”

“That’s wonderful!” Horace breathed, relief flooding him. “Thank you, Wendy.”

Brittany looked at Wendy with deep gratitude. “I can’t thank you enough.”

“No need to thank me. I’m a doctor–it’s my duty to save lives and heal the sick…”

But before she could finish, Wendy’s eyes suddenly rolled back and she copsed.

    “Wendy!”

Horace reacted instantly, catching her before she hit the floor. “Wendy! What’s wrong?”

Brittany jumped down from the bed. “Quick, get her lying down!”

Horace carefullyid Wendy on the bed. A doctor rushed in and began examining her.

“Doctor, what happened to Wendy? Why did she just pass out like that?”
