Sienna’s expression shifted instantly.
Halsey gave her a sharp once–over.
“Gilbert dumped you three years ago<b>, </b>but you’ve never stopped thinking about him. I guess that makes sense. With Gilbert’s rise <b>these </b>past few years, who else couldpare? But he doesn’t want you anymore. You’re all dressed up today to try and seduce him, right? Those inte–famous bunny girls around him must have you feeling pretty threatened.”
Sienna’s face darkenedpletely. She hadn’t expected Halsey to know all that.
Halsey sneered, “I’m not the one stirring up trouble, so you’d better nofe after me. I don’t care about your petty drama<b>. </b>If you want to make a fool of me, I’ll make a fool out of you first.”
Sienna <b>was </b>furious. She had always resented Halsey. After all, Halsey was born into a good family, better looking, and, most importantly, the one Gilbert truly liked the most, despite all his flings over the past three years.
Gilbert had never stopped thinking about Halsey.
Sienna’s jealousy ran deep.
Clenching her fists, Sienna snapped, “Don’t get too cocky! Gilbert and I will get back together.”
Halsey shrugged. “Pfft! I’m not your mom. If you two get back together, it’s none of my business<b>.</b><b>” </b>
Sienna was speechless. Frustrated that she could never win their verbal battles, she stomped her foot and stormed off.
Halsey settled back into her seat, tilting her head to take a slow sip of her cocktail.
She drank too fast, and a sharp sting burned at the back of her throat, spicy and harsh. That burning sensation quickly spread deep into her chest.
Halsey reached for her ss again, but Madeline’s hand gently stopped her.
“Halsey,” Madeline said softly<b>, </b>concern in her eyes. “Are you thinking about Dwight?”
Halsey said nothing.
Madeline’s face fell. “Three years ago, Dwight married someone else and then disappeared. It’s been three whole years, and he still hasn’te back.”
There was a trace of sadness in her voice.
Halsey shook off the mood. “Maddy<b>, </b>no sad talks tonight. Come on Let’s dance<b>.</b>”
She took Madeline’s hand and pulled her onto the crowded dance floor.
Madeline had never been here before and looked unsure. “I can’t dance.”
Halsey smiled. “I’ll teach you.”
With quick, fluid movements, Halsey began a lively dance, her arms and legs moving with energy and grace.
Meanwhile, Sienna was boiling with anger, but she hadn’t forgotten her real goal tonight–Gilbert.
Halsey was right; Gilbert had skyrocketed these past three years. No one else was a better catch.
He was handsome, fun–loving, and wild in bed. She just couldn’t let go.
She had heard many bunny girls hade <b>to </b>celebrate Gilbert’s birthday tonight, so sitting still was out of the question. She had to make the first move and get back together with him.
Smoothing her dress, Sienna made her way toward the exclusive VIP booths.

The guard shook his head. “Then I’m sorry, but you’re not getting. There are too many people trying to <b>sneak </b>in <b>to </b>celebrate Mr. Greenwood’s birthday tonight. We’ve already turned away several people like you. You need to leave.”
Sienna’s anger red.
She looked up toward Gilbert inside–he was lounging on the sofa ss of red wine in hand, watching the bunny girls dance in front of him.
