    “Your dad has been admitted to the hospital!”


    Halsey’s face turned pale. “Howe? We have to go see him right away!”


    “Okay.” Patricia nced at Yvette. “We’ll have to leave now.”

    Halsey followed Patricia out. Just then, Gilbert’s voice rang out from behind. “Halsey.”


    She stopped and turned around.

    Halsey didn’t understand what Gilbert was trying to say. Her mind was on her father, and she didn’t want to waste time with Gilbert. “Mom, let’s go.”

    Halsey left with Patricia, while Gilbert watched her go with a determined smile.

    Halsey and Patricia rushed to the hospital as fast as they could. Inside the room, they found Cyril lying in bed. He was wearing a hospital gown<b>, </b>a thick bandage wrapped tightly around his forehead that had faint traces of blood seeping through.
