Shaun’s hands clenched tightly into fists at his sides. Without a word, he stormed over to the table where Halsey and Gilbert were sitting.
“She’s not eating that!” <b>he </b>said sharply.
Hearing his voice, Halsey looked up in surprise. “Shaun? What are you doing here?”
Shaun reached out and grabbed her slender arm, pulling her up from her seat. “You’reing with me.”
He was taking her away.
Gilbert spoke up, “Are you seriously just going to take her like that? She’s having lunch with me today!”
Shaun shot him a cold look. “She’s my girlfriend now. I’m warning you–if you try meeting her behind my back again<b>, </b>I’ll make you regret it!”
With that, Shaun took Halsey and walked off.
Gilbert dropped his knife and fork on the table with a loud tter. He had purposely tried to provoke Shaun over the phone, yet Shaun still came to get Halsey.
Clearly, his n to drive a wedge between them didn’t work.
Damn it.
Just then, someone walked over. “Hi, Mr. Greenwood.”
Gilbert turned his head and saw Chelsea.
He knew who she was. He had already had someone look into the woman who’d been showing up around Shaun. Word was<b>, </b>she was a doctor.
Gilbert narrowed his eyes. “You know me? I don’t recall

Chelsea had no ns to give up on Shaun. She had been in love with him for years–there was no way she would just let Halsey swoop in and ruin everything she had worked for.
Now that Warren had cut her off, her only real option was <b>to </b>team up with Gilbert. He was a strong ally.

Shaun pushed Halsey into his luxury <b>car</b><b>, </b>buckled her in<b>, </b>then hit the <b>gas </b>and drove toward thepany.
Halsey turned to look at him<b>. </b><b>He </b>hadn’t said a <b>word </b>the whole way <b>With </b><b>the </b>mask <b>on</b><b>, </b><b>she </b><b>couldn’t </b>see <b>his </b><b>face</b><b>, but </b>the <b>sharp </b><b>lines </b><b>of </b><b>his </b>jaw and tense posture made <b>it </b><b>obvious </b>that he was mad
Halsey asked carefully, “Are you angry?”
Both of Shaun’s hands gripped the steering wheel. “Angry? No. <b>I’m </b>in a fantastic mood right now.”
Halsey blinked, unsure of what to say.
Shaun added, “Can’t you tell that I’m mad? Don’t y dumb with me.”
Halsey flinched slightly. “Why are you mad? Is it because I met up with Gilbert-
Shaun cut her off. “Halsey, what are we now?”
“I’m your girlfriend.”
“Exactly. You’re my girlfriend. So why are you sneaking off to see Gilbert? And letting him feed you like that? What’s going on? Am I just your backup n?”
Halsey quickly exined, “Listen, I can exin!”
“Fine, I’m listening. Go ahead and exin yourself.”
“I was in your office when Gilbert called me. He said he needed to talk in
