My Dad Please Come 875

    Chapter 875

    Shaun nodded. “Alright.”

He took Halsey to Mark’s ce, but the door was locked and no one was around.

Halsey knocked. “Hello? Is anyone there?”

Aneighbor from next door stepped out. “Are you looking for Mark

Halsey nodded. “Yes, we are. Do you happen to know where he went?”

The neighbor replied, “He already moved out. He said he was leaving Lhassa.”

    What?!

Halsey asked anxiously, “Do you know where he moved to?”

“He said he made a lot of money, and he’s noting back.”

    Made a lot of money?

“You’re probably here to buy that Snowpeak Bloom from him, right? Someone else already bought it. Paid a huge sum for it. Mark took the cash and moved out.”

Halsey felt her heart drop. Someone had already bought the Snowpeak Bloom from Mark. They were toote.

They had thought their timing was perfect, arriving just as the rare flower bloomed. But someone else had beaten them to it.

How could there be such a coincidence?

A flicker of suspicion crept into Halsey’s mind. Who bought the Snowpeak Bloom?

Shaun asked, “Do you know if there are any other Snowpeak Blooms avable around here?”

The neighbor shook his head. “That flower’s really rare. It only blooms once every 50 years. There aren’t any others on these mountains. Mark just got lucky and found one.”

So that meant there were no others.

The Snowpeak Bloom only bloomed once every 50 years. If they missed this one, who knew how long they’d have to wait for the next?

However, Shaun couldn’t afford to wait.

He held Halsey’s hand. “Why are your hands so cold?”

“We were just a little toote,” Halsey said softly.

Shaun gave her a faint smile. “Maybe I’m just not meant to fix this face. I’m fine with it. Are you?”

Halsey wrapped her arms around him. “Of course, I’m fine with it, too.”

He kissed the top of her head. “Then let’s forget it and go home.”

    Halsey nodded. “Okay.”

They returned to their room at the guesthouse, nning to stay the night and leave early in the morning.

Shaun went to take a shower first. Halsey sat there, feeling low. She really wanted Shaun to heal his face.

He used to be so good–looking, but now, he had to wear that maskevery day. Even if he never said it out loud, she knew he cared.

She couldn’t help but wonder who bought the Snowpeak Bloom.

Just then, her phone rang. The ringtone was soft and melodic.

Halsey looked at the screen. It was a number she didn’t recognize,

She picked up. “Hello? Who’s this?”

A teasing voice answered, “Ms. Halsey. It’s been a while.”

Halsey recognized it immediately–it was Chelsea.

They hadn’t spoken much before, but a woman’s instinct was always sharp.

    “Hello, Ms. Sutton.”

“That’s right. Do you have a moment? Let’s talk.”

Halsey asked, “You’re in Lhassaria too?”

Chelsea chuckled. “I am. In fact, I’m staying at the same guesthouse as you.”

A slow smile spread across Halsey’s face. “You’re the one who bought the Snowpeak Bloom, aren’t you?”

She had been wondering who had gotten to it first. It felt too deliberate. And the moment she heard Chelsea’s voice, Halsey just

    knew–it was her.
