Chapter 1295

    ?Chapter 1295:

Kohen’s patience snapped. “What’s with the attitude? I’m talking to you. Are you deaf?”

Before Kohen could say more, Damon cut in with a forcedugh. “Rx, Kohen. It’s nothing but a cheap trick. No need to blow a fuse. Dani, you like betting, don’t you? How about a little wager with us?”

Dani smiled, her expression unreadable. “Sure. What’s the wager this time?”

Damon opened his mouth, but Dani beat him to it. “Let’s make something clear first. If you lose, you can’t go back on your word again. I won’t be so generous this time. Are you sure you want to risk it?”

Niks, who had been watching from the sidelines, could not hold back anymore. “Dani, what’s that supposed to mean? Are you mocking us? Saying we can’t handle losing?”

Dani gave a soft chuckle. “Isn’t that the truth? If you really can afford to lose, why not bark like a dog, like you promised?”

    Niks’s face turned beet red.

Damon quickly waved a hand to cut off the brewing storm. “Forget the drama. No point digging up old dirt. Let’s settle it now. Are you betting or not?”

Dani gave a casual shrug. “What’s the game?”

Damon grinned. “Something simple—dice. Whoever rolls the highest wins!” Both Damon and Duran were known for their obsession with gambling. They had even opened a casino in Oiscoll, where they reigned as self-proimed experts.

Damon raised his chin, looking Dani up and down. “So? Do you dare?”

Dani set down her ss. “I’m game for anything. Tell me the stakes.”

Niks’s mouth curled into a sly grin.

Damon’s reputation as the King of Gambling in Oiscoll was no secret. No one had ever beaten him before.

Niks chuckled under his breath, imagining Dani’s humiliation after she lost.

Niks shared a look with his brothers, then said, “You will never step foot inside McCoy Group if you lose.”

Preventing Dani from entering McCoy Group meant she would be excluded from its future endeavors. This istion would weaken Cedric, ensuring Niks retained his position as the sole heir.

Dani caught on to what Niks was thinking right then. She smiled and retorted, “That’s a pretty bold move. What are you willing to risk?”

Niks was taken aback, not anticipating such a bold response.

He had been counting on walking away with something without giving up anything.

He looked over at his brothers standing next to him, a trace of regret tugging at him. He wished he had pushed them to speak up sooner so he wouldn’t be left carrying the weight of the bet alone.

    Now, he felt trapped.

Niks’s eyes met Dani’s, who looked back at him amusedly.

Her knowing smile irritated him; it was as if she could read his mind.

As a crowd formed around them, with cameras zooming in on him, he prepared to speak.

Dani let out augh and said, “You can’t expect the same trick to work twice.”
