Chapter 1300

    ?Chapter 1300:

“For real. How else could Damon lose?”

“Right? And did you see how rxed Dani was? Like she knew she had it in the bag. She definitely pulled a trick!”

Damon spun toward the referee. “You have to check her dice! She rigged them!” He never took his eyes off her. Part of him expected her to swap them out when no one was looking.

The referee, surrounded by eyes full of suspicion, reached for the dice and turned them over in his hands.

With the whole room waiting, he finally said, “These dice are clean.” Gasps rippled across the crowd.

    “No way!”

    “These dice must be rigged!”

“Dani doesn’t even know how the game works. There’s no chance she won fair and square!”

Damon stepped forward, wild-eyed. He grabbed the dice and stared at them like they might confess. Sweat gathered at his brow.

“There’s something off about these!” he whispered, half to himself. “There’s something off. I know it.”

Then he looked up, eyes wide with a new idea. “Wait! It’s not what’s outside. It’s what’s inside!”

He gripped the dice harder, locking eyes with her. “Tell the truth, Dani. You messed with the inside, didn’t you? Someone—bring me a hammer! I’ll expose Dani in front of everyone!”

As the crowd pressed in to witness the spectacle, someone darted off in haste, determined to return with a hammer.

Hamilton’s brow furrowed with unease. He turned to his secretary.

Joseph gave a quick nod and hurried down the stairs without a word.

Damon was moments from shattering the dice when Joseph raised his hand sharply, halting him mid-action.

Damon looked at Joseph like he’d been pped. “Joseph, are you serious? Dani cheated, and now you’re taking her side?”

Joseph knew he had to tread carefully.

He offered a casual smile and told the crowd, “Hey, it’s just a little family thing. Nothing serious, alright? Let’s not blow it out of proportion. Go on, enjoy the party.”

It was clear he was trying to smooth things over.

The onlookers shared uncertain looks, then slowly began to heed Joseph’s words.

Joseph stood as Hamilton’s voice and will.

There was no mistaking it—this was Hamilton subtly pulling the reins to steady the chaos.

The truth was clear—Damon had undoubtedly lost the bet. Yet, as long as the dice remained unbroken, doubt would continue to cloud the air.

Damon’s name was etched in gambling lore—his reputation, nearly mythic.

This wasn’t something that could be brushed under the rug.
