Chapter 2001 Over Five Million

With a smug smile on her face, Eloise looked at Cecilia and said, "Ceci, I think that dress looks better on me."

Cecilia didn''t react. She showed no hint of annoyance, remainingpletelyposed. She replied calmly, "Then I''ll take another look."

As Cecilia moved through the store, she acted as if she were browsing for other clothes, though her eyes were repeatedly drawn to the most expensive pieces on disy.

Eloise had no idea what Cecilia was doing. She followed along innocently, watching from behind.

Anything Cecilia lingered on for more than a moment, she had the salesperson wrap up for her. From her perspective, buying the whole shop wouldn''t even make a dent in her finances, and the price tags on the clothes meant nothing to her.

Charlotte hadn''t expected this intensepetitiveness between women. Pretending to be a little disgruntled, she said, "Ms. Escobar, why do you keep snatching every outfit my boss looks at?"

Eloise raised her brows in surprise. "Did you get the wrong idea? We''ve got tons of clothes at home. I don''t need topete with Ceci over a couple of outfits. I honestly think these just suit me better."

After saying that, she turned back toward Cecilia. "Isn''t that right, Ceci?"

Cecilia couldn''t show that she wasn''t the least bit concerned. Her expression turned slightly unpleasant as she responded, "As long as you''re happy."

That was enough to satisfy Eloise. She told the salesperson to wrap up every single piece that Cecilia had been eyeing earlier.

After browsing a bit more, Cecilia turned to Charlotte and said, "That''s enough for today. Let''s not buy anything right now. Let''s get something to eat instead."

Charlotte nodded. "Sounds good. I''m actually pretty hungry too."

As the two prepared to leave, Eloise couldn''t resist tossing in a sarcastic remark. "So you were never nning to buy anything, huh? The salesperson worked so hard, and you''re just walking out?"

Hearing that, Cecilia looked at her and replied, "We''ll buy next time.”

Eloise scoffed. "Who would''ve guessed the CEO of Jamieson Group could be so stingy?"

After she said that, she handed her card to the salesperson. "Charge it."

"Of course," the salesperson said and went to process the payment.

Not long after, Cecilia and Charlotte heard the salesperson say, “I''m sorry, Miss, but your card doesn''t have enough bnce."

"Not enough?" Eloise looked genuinely surprised. "How''s that possible? There''s a million on that card."

She had bought luxury items before. At most, the clothes would cost about ten thousand per piece.

The salesperson looked apologetic. "I''m sorry, but the total for all the clotheses to five million two hundred and seventy thousand."

Five million two hundred and seventy thousand?

Eloise''s face immediately drained of color.

"Why are these clothes so expensive?"

The salesperson quickly exined, "One of the items you picked is our signature piece, priced at over two million. It''s made with natural diamonds from South Alendor..."

Eloise gasped. She never imagined Cecilia had been picking out such pricey items.

Charlotte couldn''t resist teasing. “Ms. Escobar, you really love these clothes, don''t you? Don''t tell me you can''t actually afford them?"

"Can''t afford them?" Eloise, feeling humiliated, immediately snapped, "Who said I can''t? It''s just five million, right?"

She pulled another card from her purse and handed it over. "Here.”

Then she looked at Charlotte, her words dripping with implication. "Unlike some people, I don''t just talk. I take action."

Charlotte held onto Cecilia''s arm, both of thempletely ignoring her remarks.

After the payment went through, the salesperson politely asked for her address so they could arrange delivery. Eloise felt a tight twist in her chest but kept her cool as she wrote down her address.

    Once the purchase was finalized,

    Cecilia looked at the salespersomet

and said, "Good work. You''re probably getting a nicemission today, aren''t you?"  fo

"Thank you so much, Ms. Smith," the salesperson said, bowing with a big smile.

She knew very well that without Cecilia''s presence, a sale of this scale never would''ve happened.
