She handed the report over, and as Andrew read through it, his frown never left his face.
The DNA report looked almost wless, so real that it could fool anyone. But the moment he spotted the Evans Group’s hospital stamp, it all clicked–this was a setup. Someone had deceived Olivia.
Grace studied Andrew’s expression, and a fresh wave of uncase washed over her. That same sick worry had haunted her since Olivia left. No matter how she rationalized it, her instinct screamed wrong.
Andrew paused for a moment before finally telling her the truth. “This DNA report is fake. She probably got deceived.”
“Fake?” Grace echoed, grabbing the report and staring at it in disbelief. A numb buzzing filled her ears while icy fingers of dread crawled up her spine.
Who were those people? Why did they take Olivia?‘ Grace’s mind spun as she slumped to the ground, her breathing turning heavy.
“Grandma Grace, careful!” Jenny rushed over to steady her, trying tofort her. “Don’t worry. Olivia’s so smart and capable–she’ll be okay.”
Andrew didn’t say a word. Outwardly, he looked as calm and unbothered as ever, but inside, his thoughts were
a storm.
‘Olivia’s way too sharp to fall for such an obvious trap. Unless…! A daring idea shed through Andrew’s mind. ‘Maybe she’s walking right into the game on purpose, putting herself at risk to see what’s really going on.
“Jenny, look after Ms. Lane,” Andrew said, his tone steady as he strode away with measured steps.
He grabbed his phone and dialed Tony. “Monitor the ‘MysticHealer‘ ount closely–alert me the moment there’s activity. And tell our teams near Magnolia Town to watch for strangers. If threats appear, their priority is protecting Olivia at all costs.”
A hint of warmth softened Andrew’s expression for just a moment before his usual stern mask slipped back into ce, the tightness around his lips rxing slightly. ‘My doctor heals more than wounds–she unravels secrets too,‘ he thought.
Meanwhile, stuck in a huge traffic jam on the highway, Donald grumbled and smacked the steering wheel. “Seriously? It’s not a holiday or anything. Why is it so packed out here?”
“Don’t sweat it. We’ll just take the next exit and hit the back roads,” Gina said, cracking sunflower seeds and spitting out the shells. “We’ve already found her, so a few extra minutes won’t hurt.”
“Where are we now?” Olivia asked, feigning sleepiness as she rubbed her eyes.
Seeing her awake, Gina immediately switched to her motherly tone. “You’re up. Did we wake you?”
“No, I just need the bathroom,” Olivia replied.
“Alright.” Gina nodded right away. “This stretch is really jammed anyway. We’ll get off at the next exit for the

bathroom. Then we’ll take the back roads instead of the highway.”
“Okay.” Olivia nodded obediently.
Gina couldn’t help but smirk to herself. ‘Girls like her are just too naive. A few sweet words, and they’re putty in my hands,‘ she mused.
Once they stepped off the truck, Olivia didn’t try to slip away or anything–she just headed straight for the bathroom, her backpack still hanging from her shoulder.
Not far off, a middle–aged woman spotted her and squinted, recognizing Olivia from outside the Orion Tower. “Hey, aren’t you that doctor from the other day?” the woman came over, looking curious.
Olivia recognized her and nodded.
“Oh, it really is you,” the woman said, her face lighting up as she pped her hands. “I was just thinking of dropping by Willow Lane to have you check my shoulder. It’s been acting up again.”
“It’s nothing serious. You just need a quick adjustment,” Olivia said as she rotated the woman’s arm a bit, smiling. “When I’m back in a few days, I’ll give you a proper treatment.”
“That’s wonderful.” The woman’s face lit up, but then she looked a bit puzzled. “So, where are you headed? Off to have some fun?”
