Tiffany was never the type of girl to dine in such ces. She had always described them as cheap and not fit for someone of her status, which was why it made no sense to me that she hade to such a ce. I couldn’t help but wonder if she knew I was there and just wanted to rub it in my face that she’d won.
Grayson’s face was expressionless and that only made my heart ache. I expected something, anything, but not that.
I thought it was going to be one of those situations where Tiffany was going to be the one to grab his attention so he’d stop looking at me, but before she even did that, he looked away on his own like I was just a stranger.
The people at the next table were just about to leave and as soon as they rose to their feet, Tiffany wrapped her arm around Grayson, leading the way.
They were both heading towards me and I actually held onto the hope that when he was close enough, he would finally say something but when he walked right behind my chair, he didn’t even acknowledge me and my heart shattered.
While it was clear that we weren’t talking anymore since he had blocked me, I didn’t expect him to take it that far. I didn’t even look over right away as they took their seats.
My chest was heavy, but slowly, I faced my friends, but could see Tiffany and Grayson in my peripheral vision. Like an idiot, I looked over at their table, wondering if he would finally look at me, but he didn’t. His entire focus was on Tiffany.
Just as I nced at her, our eyes met and she had this triumphant smile that made me ball my hand into a fist.
It was hard to act like they weren’t there, but I gave it a shot and fought harder to focus on my friends, who weren’t so </ifortable anymore because they knew what I was going through.
“The steak is delicious!” E said to me with so much enthusiasm. “You should really try it.”
“Oh, yeah!” Zoey chimed in. “It’s so tender and juicy!”
I smiled a little at the effort they were making to distract me, so I tasted the steak and the two of them leaned forward, waiting for my reaction. I closed my eyes as I chewed, even leaning back in my seat a little.
“Yup! This is exactly why I love this ce.” My lips curved into a forced smile. I wasn’t going to break in front of Grayson and Tiffany.

My girls did their best to keep me distracted, but the most difficult part was acting like I still couldn’t see Grayson and Tiffany.
It was still enough that E and Zoey had so much to talk about that I couldn’t hear a word that was being said at the next table but in my peripheral vision, I could see those gestures, the two of them holding hands and even sharing a kiss.
I would’ve enjoyed the food so much more had they not been at that table but it was still so delicious that I wasn’t about to let the two of them ruin the fun.
Then came the part when I took a sip from my ss of juice at the same time as my friends. and it was then that I finally heard Tiffany’s annoying voice like she had been waiting for that specific moment.
“Babe, I’ve already started thinking of names. How’s Troy?”
He chuckled softly. “You can’t be serious Troy? Hmm, I was thinking more… Samantha.”
“What? No.”
He giggled at her response.
“I really want us to have a boy.” Her voice was annoyingly cute.
“The way I see it, it doesn’t matter. That’s going to be the most beautiful baby in the world with your pretty eyes and pointy nose.”
She giggled like she was a teenager in love. “I’m so d we’re starting this new chapter together. Remember when someone tried to break us apart but failed?”
He kissed the back of her hand. “How could I forget? No matter what, they’ll never seed. You’ll alwayse first, baby.”
I didn’t want to hear anything more, not just because it was hurting me, but because it made me cringe a little, so I pushed back my chair, looking at E and Zoey.
“I just need to use thedies‘ room,” I whispered to the two of them.
They both gently nodded in understanding, but I could see the looks of concern in their faces.
When I came to thedies‘ room, I didn’t even enter any of the stalls. Instead, I stood in front of the wide mirror, staring at my reflection just to see what the others could see.
My eyes were glistening with tears and that’s all I wanted to see, not them rolling down my cheeks. He didn’t deserve my tears. How could he just throw away our friendship for years just because he chose to be blind?

Quickly patting my eyes dry, I did a touchup of my makeup after I’d smudged it a little around the eyes.
I was in the process of packing everything in my purse when the main door opened and Tiffany walked in. She closed the door behind her, but didn’t even move from that spot like she wanted to keep me inside.
With a hand on her hip, she said, “This ce is filthy. Only dogs deserve to eat here. I mean… that’s why you’re here, right?”
I didn’t say anything back, zipping my purse and holding my head high as I approached the door.
I stopped right in front of her, clutching my purse as I said, “Move.”
She sneered. “Why would I do that? We’re just getting started here…in this fucking filth.”
I scoffed. “If you really find it filthy, why are you here?”
“Look, the guy of your dreams got me pregnant and I’m not in control of my cravings.”
“Oh, really?” I clicked my tongue. “The way I see it, you knew that I was here and for you, it was the perfect opportunity to rub it in my face even if it meanting to a restaurant way below your standards.”
She burst intoughter, typing something on her phone. “I’m not the one who knew, Kate did. We were all at the mall and-”
“I don’t give a fuck,” I cut in. “You might have been able to fool Grayson, but I was there. I saw you kissing Josh.”
She dramatically gasped. “Oh, really? Come on. That never happened. I’m not a whore like your sister.”
Her words made me snap and when I raised my hand to p her, I stopped myself when I realized she was pregnant, but she gasped with wide eyes like the damage had already been done.
“How dare you try to put your hands on a pregnantdy?” She ced her hand on her cheek.
“I warned youst time not to talk about my sister!” I spat, putting my hand down.
She sneered. “But she’s a whore and everyone knows that.”
She was really trying to give me a reason to p her just so she could use it to her advantage, but even though I was fuming, I wasn’t about to fall for it.
“Get out of the way,” I warned her.

“Nope, I’ll move once you admit that your sister’s a whore. She was fucking everyone in town.”
My blood was boiling and while I wanted to grab her by the shoulder and shove her to the side, I chose to grab her by the wrist instead and pulled her to the side.
I thought that was it but after I let go, she fell to the floor all on her own, then looked up at me with fake disbelief. “How dare you push me in my condition?”
“What?”
She burst into fake tears like I had actually done it and I rolled my eyes as I made my way out.
On the other side of the long hallway, I spotted Grayson approaching with hurried footsteps but he slowed down a little when he noticed me, his expression cold as he looked to the side.
Then, Tiffany rushed past me to get to him while fake crying with her hair now all messed up. She buried her face in his chest and whatever she said to him, made him shoot res at me.
Firmly holding her hand, he charged towards me with his other hand balled into a fist and my nostrils red while breathing hard. He’d already believed whatever she’d told him and it was for this reason that I was ready for whatever shit was about toe out of his mouth.
