Chapter 1839

    ?Chapter 1839:

Peyton shifted ufortably. After a moment of hesitation, he responded, “You’re not aware of your state, and I can’t do it as you’ve requested right now.”

    Aileen’s frustration boiled over.

Angrily, she dered, “I’mpletely lucid. The moment I felt something was off, I began searching for you. It’s fortunate you hadn’t left yet. I can’t even begin to think about how dismal I’d feel if you had.”

With a mix of hurt and hope, she embraced him and spoke with a tremor in her voice. “If you refuse me now, it’s as if you’re saying you don’t want to be with me, that you don’t see a future with me. It must mean you’re upset and considering ending things.”

The sight of tears streaming down her cheeks made him uneasy. He let out a weary sigh. “My only wish is to spare you any future regrets.”

“You just don’t want tomit to me anymore,” Aileen said, tears staining her cheeks. She turned away and continued, “Here I am, feeling awful, and you still refuse tofort me. You don’t cherish me.”

Peyton replied, trying to keep his voice even, “Enough of that. I haven’t even touched you, and you’re already using me of being heartless. Is it a hotel room you want? I’ll take you.”

As Peyton was about to search for a hotel, he was struck by the realization that this would be Aileen’s first time. A hotel hardly seemed appropriate.

Suddenly remembering his nearby apartment, he quickly hailed a cab.

Upon arriving at his apartment ten minutester, Aileen was visibly agitated and tearful in his embrace. Feeling a deep emptiness, her eyes filled with tears once more.

Peyton, seeing her distress, felt a surge of sympathy. He was about to retrieve condoms when he realized he had none at the apartment. He told her, “Wait here. I’ll run downstairs to buy some.”

Unable to hold back her emotions, Aileen burst into tears. Clutching herself, she sobbed. “I knew it. You really don’t want this. You’re just trying to humiliate me, to see me break down.”

Peyton exhaled a helpless sigh and began to undress her. His gaze lingered on her, his eyes shing with a mix of frustration and affection. “I’m doing this for us, and you can’t see that. You’ve made it clear how much you want me, so I’ll make sure you’re satisfied. But remember, if you get pregnant, you’re not going out and drinking with other men.”

Aileen’s mind whirled, and she felt a deeper sting from hisments. She hadn’t been out drinking with other men; she had merely sipped some juice.

As Peyton was poised to make his move, a sliver of reason intervened. Aileen was still so young. Was it truly the right moment for them?

As he hesitated, Aileen sensed his warmth and her eagerness grew. She nestled closer to him, seeking more intimacy.

This brief contact sent Peyton into a whirl of bliss. In that instant, he forgot all his hesitations.

He pulled her close and murmured into her ear, “Aileen, will you marry me?”

With a gentle whimper, Aileen replied, “Yes, I’ll marry you. Please, give it to me. I can’t wait any longer.”

“You’re quite the enchantress!” Peyton was astonished at how perfectly Aileen seemed to align with his deepest desires.

Pushing past hisst reserves of doubt, he closed the distance, filling the emptiness Aileen felt.
