?Chapter 1847:
Darren’sughter filled the room, resonant and hearty. He walked over and made himselffortable on the sofa. “Please, you’re in a different league altogether.”
Elyseughed softly. “That’s not what it looked like with your fan club outside, eagerly waiting just to catch a glimpse of you.”<fnbb82> Newest update provided by Find1Novel</fnbb82>
A touch of red colored Darren’s cheeks. “They’re kind, but I’m hardly in your league.”
Elyse yfully pinched his cheek. “Darren, you’re incredibly gifted. Believe me, I know just how talented you are.”
Caught off guard, Darren looked away, murmuring, “You don’t need to tter me.”
Elyse teased him with a grin. “What’s this? Are you getting shy on me?”
“No, not at all!” Darren quickly stood up. “I should get going. Catch you backstage.”
Elyse waved him off. “Sure, see you there.” With a quick stride, Darren exited the room.
No sooner had he left than Wanda entered.
Elyse’s eyes brimmed with tears. “Wanda! How did you get here? I texted you earlier, and you told me you were tied up.”
Wanda gently touched Elyse’s shoulder. “Please, don’t cry, sweetie. You just finished your makeup. Let’s try to keep it perfect, shall we?”
She pulled a selection of hard candies from her bag. “I brought these for you, to steady your nerves before the show. Try one.”
Elyse took the candies, her expression brightening as she recognized her favorites. She chose a strawberry one, slipped it into her mouth, and smiled warmly at Wanda. “Oh, delicious! Just like I remember.”
A tender smile touched Wanda’s face. Years ago, she had chosen Elyse to join the group when she was just a timid girl, too shy to speak her mind. She had seen beyond that shyness, recognizing a spark of ambition, a dream eager to break free. And she had mentored Elyse, guiding her growth step by step.

Elyse had thrived, surpassing even Wanda’s greatest expectations. Now, looking at the poised woman before her, Wanda felt a rush of pride. She gave Elyse a reassuring pat on the back. “I know the struggles you’ve faced. The relentless pressure, the rigorous training… but you’ve always risen to the challenge. You’ve outdone yourself.”
Moved by Wanda’s affirmation, Elyse fanned her eyes to stave off tears. “I can hardly believe it… if I hadn’t entered thatpetition for the concertmaster, I wouldn’t be here. Your unwavering support has been my rock. I’m so grateful.”
Wandaughed softly. “I am immensely proud of you. Just remember, tonight’s performance is yet another step forward. Seize it, and make me proud, okay?”
Elyse nodded with determination. “I will. I promise I won’t let you down.”
Chloe, who had been watching from a distance, felt a tear roll down her cheek. After tonight’s sessful performance, she nned to arrange interviews for Elyse with all the major magazines, share her touching story, and elevate her to a new level of stardom.
Wanda had offered plenty of kind words, but with her schedule stretched thin, she barely had a moment to spare. After a brief exchange, she hurried off, leaving Elyse behind.
Chloe gently dabbed away the tears clinging to Elyse’sshes with a tissue, her voice soft yet firm. “Alright, you’re about to go on stage. No more tears, or they’ll cast a shadow over your performance.”
Elyse sniffled and nodded, forcing a small smile. “Okay, I understand.” Steadying her emotions, she hesitated before asking, “By the way, has there been any news about Jayden? Has anyone reached out saying they’ve found him?”
