?Chapter 1863:
Recognizing the face from her mother’s photos, Elyse was struck silent for a moment, then she opened her arms and rushed to embrace Jazmine, calling out, “Mom! How I’ve missed you!”
Jazmine embraced Elyse tightly and whispered, “I miss you too. Every day, every change in your expression, I cherish them all.”
Since childhood, Elyse had yearned for her mother’s love. When she confirmed her mother’s passing, it felt as though part of her heart had died along with her, burying her love for her parents deep within.
She tried not to long for maternal affection, knowing her mother was no longer present. Each time her dreams faded, she was left with a chilling emptiness, as if being swallowed by a frigid abyss.
Elyse clung to Jazmine, sobbing for a long time, her cries echoing in the void. Jazmine was acutely aware of Elyse’s deep suffering, yet there were realities she could not alter, for she was no longer alive.
She yearned to care for Elyse, to hold her hand, to witness her growing up, to be present for the pivotal moments of her life. But it was impossible.
After Elyse’s tears subsided, she rested against Jazmine, finding sce in her embrace. The embrace Elyse had longed for her entire life was now a reality.
Jazmine stroked Elyse’s hair and remarked, “It’s wonderful. You’ve grown into such a fine person, married, with children. I’m so moved by how far you’vee. You’re truly remarkable.”
Hearing Jazmine’s words, tears welled up in Elyse’s eyes again.
Jazmine continued, “I always feared thatcking the warmth of love, you might struggle as you grew. I worried you might crumble under life’s pressures, but you didn’t. You seized every opportunity and, most importantly, you never stopped believing in yourself.”
Elyse cried. “Mom, are you leaving me?”

Jazmine smiled gently. “It will be hard to meet again in the future, but your dad and I promise that when your life reaches its end, we wille to wee you.”
As Jazmine spoke, her figure gradually transformed into particles of light, vanishing into the darkness.
Elyse’s heart ached profoundly, and she suddenly awoke to find Jayden looking at her with deep concern.
Jayden tenderly wiped Elyse’s tears away and asked with concern, “Did you have a nightmare? Why are you crying?”
Elyse looked up at the ceiling, and after a brief pause, she replied softly, “It wasn’t a nightmare, it was a beautiful dream. It was so wonderful that when it ended, I couldn’t let it go.”
Jayden held her close, forting her. “Whether it’s a beautiful dream or a nightmare, I’ll always be here to protect you.”<fn032e> The rightful source is FindN0vel</fn032e>
Elyse nodded, then asked, “How long did I sleep? What about the babies? I want to hold them!”
Jayden reassured her, “You slept for a whole day and night. The doctor checked on you half an hour ago. If your heart and blood pressure weren’t normal, you would have been in the ICU.”
Elyse touched her face, bewildered. “I slept that long? I thought it was just for a night.”
“I’ll get the doctor to check on you again,” Jayden said. “The babies are in the nursery; they were fed ten minutes ago and are sleeping now. Once you’re checked, we can bring them here.”
