?Chapter 1865:
Theo, sensing the depth of Elyse’s concern, understood her feelings all too well. As a new mother, her instinct to protect ran deep.
He offered her a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, Elyse. Judy’s husband is a good man. He told me he won’t even think of remarrying until the child is grown.”
Elyse’s eyebrows arched in surprise. “Does he truly have the strength to endure such loneliness for years?”
Theo coughed softly, his voice lowering to a near whisper. “He’s something of a recluse, morefortable in solitude than surrounded by others. He married only to ensure his lineage. For him, this child is enough—no need for more ties or obligations.”
Elyse nodded, understanding now. The quiet strength of the man was clearer to her.
“I’ve said all I need to about Kieran’s situation,” Theo continued. “I’ll take my leave now. We’ll talk again soon.”<fnca06> Th? link to the orig?n of this information r?sts ?n Find~Novel</fnca06>
Jayden, watching Theo walk away, muttered with a grin, “This time, he didn’t drag things out. He showed some grace and left quickly.”
Elyse noticed Jayden’s soft murmur and couldn’t resist asking, “What are you saying over there?”
Jayden shrugged, a yful smile on his lips. “Nothing much. I’m just here to keep youpany.” He pulled her gently into his arms, his voice soft and sincere. “We’ll always be together, won’t we?”
Elyse looked up at him, her brow furrowing in confusion. “Why the sudden question?”
Jayden’s tone shifted, a quiet vulnerability in his words. “When you were unconscious, I was terrified. I kept wondering… What would I do if you never woke up? Could I raise two children on my own?”

Tears welled up in Elyse’s eyes as she embraced him, her voice a gentle promise. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t leave you. No matter what, I’ll fight my way back to you. Even if I’m standing at death’s door, I’ll hold on. I’ll return to you.”
She added softly, “How could I ever leave you and the children behind?”
Her words pierced his heart, striking deep at the fears he had buried for so long. From a young age, he had never known the warmth of eptance, especially after moving in with Enzo. He had always felt like a foreigner in his own life, a castaway stranded on a deserted ind, surrounded by a vast ocean with no one to visit. On that ind, he was free but utterly alone.
But now, the tides had receded, and a path had appeared, stretching out toward the horizon.
As he walked this new path, he couldn’t shake the feeling of dread, always fearing that the tide might suddenly rise and sweep him away again. If it did, there would be no going back. He would even lose the ind—the one ce where he had ever felt truly safe.
Yet the journey had brought him to a new shore, one farrger than thest. More importantly, this ce was filled with the warmth of family, of those he loved.
Elyse gazed out the window, her thoughts drifting. “When can we leave the hospital?” she asked, her voice soft with longing.
Jayden smiled and answered, “The day after tomorrow. But if you’re ready to go, we can leave early. Everything’s prepared at home.”
Elyse’s eyes brightened. “Then let’s go home tomorrow. I miss it.”
Jayden nodded. “Alright. Tomorrow, we go home.”
The following day, Elyse and Jayden returned home with their two little ones in tow. The house was soon filled with friends bearing gifts, eager to see Elyse looking so well.
Tracy, almost ovee with joy, enveloped Elyse in a tight hug. “I thought you were going to be a vegetable, sleeping for so long without waking up! You scared me half to death!”
