I took a deep breath and stared at his sleeping face. My body hurts like hell and I’m swollen. He was amazingst night. So amazing I am sure the whole forest heard my moans.

But now, in the quiet of the morning, doubts creep in. What happens when he wakes up? What are we doing here? What am I going to do?

I keep attracting dangerous situations and he keeps being in danger for me.

I brush a strand of hair from his forehead, my fingers trembling.

“I love you,” I whisper, though he’s too deep in sleep to hear. ” I love you so much baby.”

The sound of birds chirping outside feels too cheerful for the storm in my chest. I slide out of bed, wincing as my muscles protest. Grayson stirs but doesn’t wake.

I can’t stay here. I didn’t know this ce existed either.

A pack of alphas? I can only process that information now that I’m outside seeing where we are.

It’s nothing special. Just a bunch of trees and wooden houses.

My ears picked up on the faintest sounds–panting, growling, the crunch of leaves under paws.

    I froze.

From the shadows, amber eyes glowed. One by one, they emerged. Wolves. No–not just wolves. Alphas. Their fur bristled, muscles rippling as they circled me. I should’ve been terrified, but instead, something inside me stirred.

Thergest one stepped forward, its head low, eyes locked on mine.

    Shit.

I didn’t know they were doing some routines in the early morning.

Thergest alpha stepped closer, its amber eyes locked on mine. I clenched my fists, my body tense, but I didn’t back down. “What do you want?” I spat, my voice trembling despite my bravado.

It tilted its head, almost like it was amused, then let out a low, rumbling growl that sent shivers down my spine. My breath quickened, my pulse racing as it circled me, its fur brushing against my leg. I could feel the heat radiating off its body, and my cheeks flushed.

“Stop messing with me,” I snapped, my voice sharper than I intended. But the alpha just snorted, nosing at my side before yfully nipping at my hand before it transformed into his human form.

    Kade.

I jerked back, fully shocked at the sudden transformation.

He stood there all naked making me terribly blush.

“You’re in our territory, little omega,” he purred, his voice low and dangerous. “Where’s Grayson?”

I crossed my arms, trying to hide how shaky I felt. “He’s…still sleeping.”

He stepped closer, and I could feel the heat of him, even though he wasn’t touching me. His scent–pine and something wild–filled my lungs.

My heart thudded so loud I was sure he could hear it.

“So, he left you here alone?” he asked, his voice dropping to a whisper. “You know it’s not safe for little omegas like you.”

Before I could react, his hand shot out, fingers brushing my arm like a predator testing its prey. My instincts red, and my ws unsheathed with a sharp snick. I swiped at him, the tips grazing his chest.

He hissed, stepping back but grinning like he’d been waiting for this. “Feisty little thing, aren’t you?”

My breath came in short, sharp bursts, and the forest around us seemed to close in.

I could feel his pack watching from the shadows, their eyes gleaming like amber in the moonlight.

“Stay back,” I growled, my voice deeper, more animal than human.

Heughed, a low, rumbling sound that sent shivers down my spine. “Oh, I like it when they fight back.”

I didn’t wait. I lunged, wed out, aiming for his throat. But he was faster, catching my wrist and spinning me around. His chest pressed against my back, his breath hot on my neck.

“Careful, little wolf,” he whispered, his teeth grazing my ear. “You might just awaken something you can’t handle.

    “Yeah? What’s that?”

His lips curved into a smirk, and he leaned in closer, his tongue flicking against his bottom lip. “Me,” he said, his voice dropping to a growl. His hand slid down my arm, his grip loosening, but his presence was still overwhelming. The forest around us felt alive, the scent of pine and earth sharp in my nose.

He let go suddenly, stepping back with a dangerous glint in his eyes. “You hungry?” he asked, his tone casual, like he hadn’t just pinned me in a way that made my blood boil and my cheeks burn.

I red at him, crossing my arms over my chest.

    “What?”

His eyes darkened, and for a moment, I thought he might lunge at me again. But instead, he smirked, his gaze

dropping to my lips. “Breakfast,” he said, his voice low and teasing. “Unless you’d rather starve.”

I rolled my eyes, but my stomach growled, betraying me. “You just assaulted me then now you’re offering me breakfast?”

He chuckled, falling into step beside me. “Don’t be such a girl, Jessica.”

“You’re such an ass,” I muttered, brushing past him.

He chuckled, falling into step beside me. “I know.”

Five minutester, I’m here sitting in front of the pack, well, the alpha’s eating breakfast with them.

Actually, I can’t even swallow the damn meal because they are all staring at me.

“Don’t make herfortable boys,” Kade said, enjoying his cup of coffee. “You all heard how much she worked hardst night.”

The othersughed, a low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver down my spine. My cheeks burned, and I dropped my fork with a tter.

“You know, Omegas always have this… scent.”

One of them said, leaning closer, his nostrils ring.

“Yeah? And all alphas stink, right?” I shot back, my voice trembling but fierce.

Kade’s eyes darkened, and he set his cup down slowly, the sound echoing in the silent room. “You’ve got a mouth on you,” he said, his tone equal parts dangerous and yful. “I like that.”

“Good. Because I’m not afraid of any of you.”

Kade’s smirk widened, and he slowly rose from his seat, his movements deliberate, predatory. He circled the table like a wolf stalking its prey, his eyes never leaving mine. I froze, my breath catching in my throat.

He stopped inches from me, his scent overwhelming, a mix of pine and something darker, more primal. “You’re fierce,” he whispered, his breath warm against my ear. “But are you fierce enough?”

Before I could reply, the door mmed open, and there he was–Grayson. His presence was like a thunderp, his eyes zing with fury as he took in the scene. “What the hell is going on here?” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

Kade straightened up, a smirk ying on his lips. “Just having a little breakfast chat. Nothing to worry about.”

Grayson’s jaw clenched, and in two strides, he was in front of me, his hands gripping the arms of my chair as he leaned down. His face was inches from mine, his breath hot against my skin. “Mine,” he said, his voice a low, possessive growl.

Then his lips were on mine. It was sudden, unexpected, and way too intense. His lips were firm, demanding, and for a split second, I forgot how to breathe. Then the whistles started–sharp, teasing sounds from the others in the room. My cheeks red, and I could feel the heat spreading down my neck.

Grayson pulled back just enough to search my face, his eyes dark and intense. “Hi baby.”

“Damn, Grayson,” someone muttered from the back of the room. Laughter followed, but it was cut short when Grayson shot them a re that could’ve melted steel. He straightened up, keeping one hand on the back of my chair like he was staking a im.

I finally found my voice, though it came out as a shaky whisper. “What–what was that for?”

He didn’t answer. Instead, he turned to Kade, who was still smirking like he’d won some kind of game. “Stay away from her,” Grayson warned, his voice low and dangerous.

Kade raised his hands in mock surrender, but his smirk didn’t fade. “Whatever you say, boss.”
