Andrea clenched her fists tightly, a surge of hatred toward Jessica rising within her.
“What’s that face? Don’t you agree?” Jessica asked, seeing Andrea’s face darken.

“You’ve got me wrong,” Andrea said. She didn’t want the rumors to be spread, so she agreed. “I’m just thinking about where to start.”
“Give me your phone. I’ll send it for you,” Jessica said, extending her hand.
Andrea nced at Reba, then unlocked her phone and handed it to Jessica.
Jessica and Reba were both puzzled by Andrea’s reaction. When Jessica saw that Andrea had Jeffrey saved as “Husband” in her contacts, she let out a mockingugh. “This is hrious.”
Reba stared in confusion as Jessica held the phone up for her to see.
Reba remained silent. She felt this was entirely in line with Andrea’s usual behavior.
“All done. The message has been sent,” Jessica said, tossing the phone to Andrea. “From now on, we’re even. If you try to take anything from me again, you’ll regret it.”
“Hope you remember your promise,” Andrea said, staring at her. “Keep your mouth shut.”
Jessica ignored her and left with Reba.
As she watched them leave, Andrea clenched her fists. She couldn’t hold back her anger and smashed the phone against the wall.
The phone screen shattered, but Andrea remained furious. Just thinking about what happened made her feel humiliated.
“Ms. Scott, what happened?” The bodyguards ran in, picked up the phone from the floor, and ced it in front of her.
Seeing the shattered screen, she grew even angrier. “Get out.”
The bodyguards turned and left immediately.
Andrea suddenly called out, “Stop right there.”
The bodyguards just stared, dumbfounded.
“Call Jeffrey and tell him I have something important to discuss with him,” Andrea said. She could not ept that Jeffrey treated Reba better than her.
She thought, ‘Aren’t they supposed to be getting a divorce? Hasn’t he said he won’t show her any kindness?‘
One of the bodyguards replied, “We don’t have Mr. Hanson’s number.”

“Then find someone who can reach him.” Andrea shouted in fury, “If you don’t get in touch with him in two minutes, I’ll jump out the window. Guess what punishment Jeffrey would give you?”
Faced with her threat, the two bodyguards had no choice but to contact Gregory, who quickly conveyed the message to Jeffrey.
Jeffrey had just finished a meeting and picked up his phone when he saw Andrea’s message. He nced at it and called her. “I heard you might be thinking of killing yourself.”
“I am,” Andrea replied, wanting to provoke him.
“Text me before you jump so I can notify the doctor,” Jeffrey said calmly, showing no emotion. “I don’t want you to scare anyone else.”
Andrea’s mind went nk, and Gregory, standing beside Jeffrey, was equally surprised.
Andrea lost her cool. She hadn’t anticipated such a cold response.
Jeffrey said, “Are you done? I have to go.”
Andrea’s outrage boiled over. “Didn’t you say you would take good care of me? Are you really going to watch me kill myself?”
“When I said I’d take care of you, I meant I would respect your wishes and your choices,” Jeffrey said tly. “I can’t really feel what you’re feeling. If you’re determined tomit suicide, I can only ept it.”
“I want you toe see me right now,” Andrea demanded.
“You have to face the consequences of your own actions,” Jeffrey refused. “I don’t like you constantly pushing my limits.”
After saying this, he hung up, leaving Andrea no chance to speak.
Andrea threw her phone to the floor again. This time, the phone hit the ground so hard that the screen shattered clean off the frame.
The bodyguards outside peeked into the room but did not step in.
Compared to the tense atmosphere in Andrea’s ward, things felt much lighter with Reba and Jessica.
Reba looked confused. “I don’t get it. Why is Andrea so afraid of people finding out she went to the doctor? Even if she really had an abortion, Jeffrey probably wouldn’t care.”
“We haven’t figured this outpletely yet,” Jessica replied.
“Then why did you agree to her request?” Reba asked.
“I only promised her we wouldn’t tell anyone, but we’re not the only ones who know,” Jessica said as she got into the car to drive Reba to the office. “I actually told Ian about it before we came.”
Reba gave her a thumbs–up, clearly impressed.

Jessica stretched her words deliberately. “Besides, any real businessman knows that everything needs paper proof. Words alone mean nothing. Andrea is far too naive.”
Reba nodded, fully agreeing. No matter how tempting a deal might be, without written proof, it couldn’t be considered valid.
“You were Andrea’s roommate in college. Did you know she went to the hospital?” Jessica asked.
Reba thought for a moment and shook her head. “No, I never heard about it.”
Jessica turned the steering wheel, much calmer. “Alright, let’s put this behind us. At least we now know Andrea doesn’t want Jeffrey to find out. We’ll deal with it once Ian’s done investigating.”
Reba nodded.
After dropping Reba off at the office, Jessica left.
Reba reflected on what had happened at the hospital. Finding nothing suspicious, she set it aside and focused intently on her work.
Saturday came quickly. Reba went to her usual ss with Emily, but declined any extra lessons. After finishing midday ss, she left the Reed residence and headed to the hospital, grabbing a quick bite at a random restaurant along the way.
She went straight to Amelia’s ward as before and spent over two hours talking with her.
Someone immediately informed Jeffrey that she hade to the hospital.
However, Jeffrey was with Stanley, catching up with a friend flown in from abroad.
“Get ready,” Jeffrey said, setting down his ss and fixing his gaze on the woman sitting across from him. “Once Reba enters Stephen’s ward, hack into her phone and eavesdrop on their conversation.”
The woman, Riley, sitting across from him, had short hair, with a mix of gentle feminine and sharp masculine features, giving off a cool,zy vibe.
She joked, “She’s your wife. Why not just ask her directly?”
“It’s not your concern,” Jeffrey replied, his eyes calm and distant.
Stanley nodded. “Do as he says.”
Riley’s eyes lit up with sudden understanding. “Fine, I get it.”
Stanley and Jeffrey felt she talked too much.
“Come on, she’s divorcing you,” Riley said, hitting Jeffrey right in the nerve, pletely fearless. “I bet she’s finally realized you’re untrustworthy and wants toe to me instead.”
Both Stanley and Jeffrey were speechless.

Jeffrey thought, ‘I knew it. I shouldn’t have called Riley back. She always hits where it hurts.’
