Everyone med when they heard the voice, and when they realized it was Andres their reactions were of a bitplicated

Back then, they didn’t know Reba was Jeffrey’s wife, so no one really paid much attention to how the and Andrea interacted. But now, it looked like Andrea definitely had something up her sleeve.

Every morning, she shows up by Jeffrey’s side as his secretary, acting all polite and friendly to Reba, even though Reba–didn’t like her. To everyone else, the whole scene just felt really strange.

But since no one really knew the truth, they just greeted her as usual. “Hi, Andrex”

“I heard you were in the hospital, someone asked politely, out of workce manners. “Are you feeling better now?

“Much better.” Andrea said, then walked over to Reba’s desk with a sweet smile. She leaned on the desk with both hands, looking innocent. “Reba, why don’t you care about me? You didn’te visit me all time. I was so sad”

Reba shot her a sideways nce, thinking about how shameless she was.

“Stop ignoring me, okay? I was miserable enough to end up in the hospital.” Andrea grabbed her hand, like she was making up with a friend after a fight.

She was sure Reba was too quiet to tell anyone about what had happened between the three of them. As long as Reba stayed silent, her indifference would just look rude to everyone else.

“Don’t touch me.” Reba said, pulling her hand back and grabbing some sanitizer from the side. “Seriously, you’re kind of gross.”

Andrea froze, embarrassed. The others quickly jumped in to smooth things over.

“Hey, Andrea, have you had breakfast yet? I’ve got some cake here. <fn2878> Follow current nov?ls on find{n}ovel</fn2878>

“Reba, what did you learn on that business trip? Were the big shots at the Hanson Group really as amazing as people say?”

With all the questions flying around, Andrea took the chance to step away from Reba’s desk.

Though the colleagues only asked those questions to ease the tension, Reba still answered them politely.

Before long, more people started showing up, and every single one of them gave Reba a second look. Thankfully, there was a meeting scheduled for the morning, so no one had time to gossip too much.

For the rest of the day, though, people treated Reba way better than before.

Seeing this, Andrea grabbed Lisa and dragged her over to the lounge. “Seriously, what’s up with everyone? Why are they treating Reba like royalty all of a sudden? Don’t tell me you told them about her and Jeffrey?”

Before, some people were nice to Reba, but minst just kept it professional. Today, almost everyone was acting tremilly.

“You really think you can talk to me like that? Don’t test me, or I’ll get Jeffrey to kick you out Andrea snappert, clearly pissed at Lisa’s attitude.

“Say that crap to me all you want, Lisa said, purposely needling her. But if you pulled that in front of everyone else, they’d think you have absolutely no shame.

With a sharp crack. Andrea pped Lisa hard across the face.

Lisa struck back right away, not holding back at all..

Andrea clutched her face in shock. “You actually hit me? Don’t you know my rtionship with Jeffrey?”

“Everyone in this department already knows about Reba and Mr. Hanson, Lisa snapped. On the trip. Mr. Hanson said it himself in front of E and Faye. He called Reba his wife and even took her with him.

“No way.” Andrea muttered in disbelief.

She couldn’t believe it. If Jeffrey wants to make his marriage with Reba public, he would’ve done it long ago. Why wait until now?‘

“Go ask them if you don’t believe me,” Lisa said bitterly, hating Andrea for putting her through this. They all

    know.”

“So what if they do?” Andrea shot back. “You crossed me, and I can still have Jeffrey fire you!”

“Go ahead.” Lisa had been living under pressure for a long time, and every time she saw Reba nearby, she felt guilty all over again. “If I get fired, at least I won’t have to pay that insane penalty fee.”

    Anger burned through Andrea’s chest.

She didn’t ask around, but by the end of the day, she realized Lisa had been telling the truth.

Reba hadn’t even shut down herputer when Jeffrey showed up at Primey Technologies. Under everyone’s eyes, he walked straight to her desk.

“All done?” Jeffrey looked sharp in a tailored suit, his watch peeking out from his cuff. “Gregory booked a restaurant. Let’s go eat.”

    “Not yet,” Reba answered coolly.

Jeffrey pulled out Jane’s empty chair next to her. “I’ll wait.”

As soon as he sat down across from Reba, the office buzzed with gossip,

Even though they tried to keep their voices low, Reba caught pieces of it.

“I always thought Reba would be the one to talk first, but it’s Mr. Hanson, who usually looks so cold and untouchable

“Right? Who knew Mr. Hanson, cold outside, is actually a loyal husband at home? Who wouldn’t love a like that?”

“They used to act like they didn’t even know each other. What a sweet couple.”

While the whispers spread, Reba shut down herputer. It wasn’t so much the gossip that got to her–it was Jeffrey. He kept staring at her, and his presence was impossible to ignore.

The moment her screen went ck, Jeffrey grabbed her bag with one hand and her hand with the other.

The gossiping onesughed and said, “See you tomorrow, Reba, Bye, Mr. Hanson.”

Jeffrey gave a small nod and walked out with her.

They had just stepped into the elevator when Andrea rushed over and blocked the doors. Her eyes burned with usation as she looked at Jeffrey. “What are you doing? Are you trying to humiliate me on purpose?”

Jeffrey looked at her, not understanding what she meant.

“Did you ever think about how people would see me when you went public about you and Reba?” Andrea felt a wave of frustration at the thought of being seen as a homewrecker.

“What’s that supposed to mean, Andrea?” Jeffrey replied, unfazed.

Andrea froze. She nced back and saw that other people from thepany were also getting off work one after another.

Worried about gossip, she quickly stepped into the elevator and pressed Bl. Seeing Jeffrey standing so close to Reba, she said, “I want you to take me home.”

Andrea had heard that Jeffrey was going to have dinner with Reba. She said this deliberately to mess things up between them.

When Jeffrey walked up to the car Gregory was driving, he said calmly. “Get in.”

Now, Andrea had no idea what he was trying to do.

She thought, “Isn’t he supposed to make up with Reba? But now he’s about to ditch dinner with Reba just to drive me home–isn’t he afraid Reba will never talk to him again?‘

    “Andrea?”

“Are you taking Mr. Hanson and Reba to the restaurant?”

    “Hi, Mr. Hanson.”

“Andrea, are you heading home? I can give you a ride, it’s on my way

A few coworkers walked over, talking all at once.

Andrea nced at Reba and Jeffry, who were already sitting in the car. Pushing down her emotions, she put on her usual friendly smile, “No need, I’ll just grab a cab”

Hearing her refusal, the coworker didn’t press.

At that point, Andrea knew there was no way she could get in Jeffrey’s car with so many people watching. Forcing herself, she said to Jeffrey and Reba, “Mr. Hanson, Reba, have a good evening

Gregory stepped on the gas. The car sped out of the parking lot.

He had parked right by the elevator on purpose. That way, if Andrea tried to get in with Jeffrey and Reba, the others would see it and she’d back off.

And as it turned out, he was right.
