Chapter <b>52 </b>


    Tell him. Tell him. Tell him.


    There was this small voice in Rania’s head that told her to tell Eiten the truth, to tell him what actually happened to her, to tell him what kind of abuse that she was going through.


    And just like usual, her throat closed in on her, she couldn’t form a word without stuttering. She hated herself even more whenever she was being like this. It felt like she was not normal.


    “So?” Eiten was waiting, he watched Rania closely, and noticed how she was struggling to speak. You could see with the way her eyes dted, and her breathing became heavier.


    Eiten was good with people, after all, he had to deal with hundred of thousand of warriors, where he had to know them well.


    He had to go to a war with them, therefore, it was only right for him to know the person, he would rely on his life with. The people, who would fight alongside him.


    “Calm down.” Eiten moved closer, he was sitting next to Rania now, he patted her back soothingly to calm her down.


    He had seen this symptom a few times on his warriors, where they had gotten trauma from the battlefield. Needless to say, a battlefield was where your worse nightmare came to live. And sometime, their brains relive the memory, even though you didn’t intend to.


    The same thing happened with Rania right now. She was choked in her own words, as she tried to get them


    out.


    “It’s okay, take your


    time.”


    Eiten’s voice was veryforting. It was not gentle, but firm. For Rania, that was what she needed. She felt like the world swayed, and Eiten’s firmness was what she needed to keep her head straight.


    “Breath. Breath.”


    Rania listened to him. She wished Maximus know what to do with her whenever she was having a difficulty to speak, instead of yelling and getting angry with her.


    She followed Eiten’s instruction, and breathe deeply.


    It took long time for her to finally form a word, probably half an hour had passed when Rania finally spoke again.


    “That’s not true… I didn’t do something like that.” Her voice was still slightly trembling, but at the very least, she could force the words out of her mouth. “That’s… not true…”


    “Do you mind to tell me what happened?” Eiten tried to find any sign that she was lying, or if she faked her trauma reaction earlier, but he couldn’t find any. It was either that, or Rania was very good at acting.


    However, he was inclined to the former. She didn’t seem like someone, who would manipte her way out of


    a hard situation.


    Eiten’s hand was still on her back, to soothe her whenever she was having trouble to speak again.


    “That…” Rania chided herself to let the words out. She was visibly trembling, and tears started to stream down her face. She curled her fingers, and tried not to let the emotions washed over her before she could articte what she wanted to say.


    But, heaven! It was so hard! It felt like pulling your teeth!


    Rania bit her lip, and started to rock her body back and forth. She leaned against Eiten’s soothing touch, as she tried to tell him what actually happened.


    “He… he raped me…” Rania said. “He did it to me… he torture me…”


    Rania believed she was rambling at this point, she was not sure whether Eiten understood what she said or not, because she kept repeating the same words.


    It felt like all the words in her mind disappeared one by one, and in her attempt to catch them, she just said whatever word she could find.


    “He hit me… He choked me… I want to die…” Rania closed her eyes, because she didn’t want to remember any of those things, but it was the wrong thing to do.


    When she closed her eyes, and she was surrounded by the darkness, she felt like the world caved in, and she was back to her bedroom in the ck Stone pack, strapped to her bed, after her attempt to kill herself, while Caden drew pleasure from her, calling her all the name in the book.


    She flinched when she felt Eiten’s touch was too much. She opened her eyes, and then moved away from his


    touch.


    Thankfully, the royal gamma understood that, he stopped touching her, and kept the distance between them, so his presence wouldn’t overwhelm her.


    “Take your time, I understand what you are saying.”


    “My father… med me for my mother dead… I want to leave the pack. I nned to run away.”


    Rania’s exnation was jumping from one event to the other, thus it took Eiten an extra attention to put those events together.


    “They captured me. I became omega. They lied. They hated me. I am a bad luck.” Rania bit her lip, she shook her head.


    She couldn’t tell Eiten what those people said about her, because it was too much. She felt like she heard their voices again.


    “It’s okay…” Eiten was being very understanding. He didn’t touch her again, but he listened to her rambling.


    It took around an hour for Rania to be able to make aplete sentence that sounded coherent enough.


    “You need to tell this to Maximus,” Eiten suggested. “He misunderstood you.”


    But then, Eiten remembered it was his own report that made Maximus to misunderstand Rania, but in his defense<b>, </b>all the people said the same thing. It seemed, he had to investigate more about it.


    He had to find the people, who was not influenced by alpha Caden, but then it would be hard, since the pack member answered to their alpha, and if Caden instructed to lie, it would be an act of disobeying the alpha’smand, and most of the time, it would cause physical pain when you did so.<fn703e> Th?s chapter is updated by </fn703e>


    “I can’t…” Rania shook her head, she looked horrified. “He… he will yell… he will get angry…”


    Eiten sighed. Rania looked scared of the king, which understandably so. He knew how Maximus was and he didn’t have the capacity to sit with Rania through her breakdown, and waited for her to speak. He would have lost his temper by now.


    However, before they could speak further. Eiten suddenly lifted his head, and then looked at the door.


    Rania didn’t have the same ability like the royal gamma, thus she didn’t know that Maximus came over. She was startled when the king entered the room, especially when she saw the look on his face.


    “What are you doing here?” His sharp gaze was on his royal gamma, who was smiling at him. “Get out.”


    Maximus didn’t remember Eiten was asking his permission to visit his mate, therefore when he caught his scent, he hastened his step.


    “Sorry, I thought your mate needs someone to talk to,” Eiten said lightly, he stood up and then patted Maximus on the shoulder, he talked in a very low voice, so it was only him who could hear. “Don’t be too harsh on her, I will let you know something.”


    However, when Eiten left, Maximus’s eyes fell on Rania. “What did you do with him?”
