Ynda knelt downstairs, while the passing servants whispered among themselves.
She was never wee at Sinir manor and had been punished by kneeling many times.
before.
But she caught a coldst night, and her body was already weak. After kneeling for several hours, her body heat kept rising.
The window upstairs suddenly mmed open; right above where she knelt was Renee Sinir’s room.
Renee Sinir poured a basin of water down and spoke with a triumphant tone.
“Take this and remember it! You worthless woman, don’t ever think you’re my sister–inw. To me, you’re no different from trash!”
After storming off, she closed the window.
Ynda was doused with cold water, and her body temperature spiked even faster.
Linda had already left. She didn’t care whether Ynda lived or died, nor did she respect Ynda’s dignity.
Ynda knelt for an unknown length of time until a pair of dress shoes stopped right in front of her.
Charles reached out a hand and ced it in front of her. “Come on, let’s go back.”
Her knees went numb and ached, but without holding his hand, she forced herself to stand

up.

Charles used to think she was fragile like a clematis flower, but now he saw a tough resilience
in her.
He chuckled. “You feeling wronged?”
Ynda’s lips cracked and dry, she said nothing, her steps unsteady as she moved forward. <fn9be0> Original content can be found at F?ndNovel</fn9be0>
Charles watched her retreating figure and saw her stumble as she got into the car. He stepped forward and supported her waist.
She pushed his hand away, and the next moment, he pinned her down on the back seat.
“Honey, don’t make me angry.”

He grabbed the bottled water beside him, trying to feed her, but that obedient little pet cat suddenly showed its teeth and bit hard into his tiger’s mouth.
The bite broke the skin and drew blood.
Charles raised an eyebrow, his eyes darkening.
Ynda bit her teeth so hard hers ached before letting go.
The man suddenlyughed, his fingertips grinding harshly against her teeth.
“Since when did you learn to bite? Let daddy see–those teeth are sharp.”
Ynda’s anger made her scalp tingle. To others, the fury of the weak was just a little kitten stretching out its paws, a small squabble.
She was about to bite again, but her tongue was held, and the gesture only made her secrete some saliva. She red at him angrily.
Charles’s face originally held a smile, but seeing her expression and the red marks at the corner of her eyes, his smile slowly faded.
He pulled back his fingertip, grabbed a nearby tissue, and wiped off the saliva.
“Stop messing around.”
Ynda’s chin hurt a bit as she sneered, “I’m not messing around with you.”
“Not messing around? Then are you acting cute with me?”
He grabbed her close, holding her tightly in his arms. His hand slipped under her hem. “Like this, much more lively.”
After saying that, he leaned down and softly whispered by her ear.
“More enticing than before.”
Ynda’s face instantly turnedpletely pale.
Charles never acknowledged her pain.
He was so aloof that he saw her only as a pet or a decorative vase in the house.
Even when she yelled herself hoarse in anger, he only saw it as a spoiled pet throwing a
tantrum.
It was truly embarrassing.

For the weak, even anger looks ridiculous.
She remained silent.

The car stopped at Moonbay Estate. He, dressed in a light–colored suit, got out first and pinched her cheek. “Why stop now?”
Those words stabbed deep into her heart like a sharp knife.
Her lips moved slightly but she said nothing, quietly walking inside.
The servant at the door saw them and immediately asked, “Mrs. Sinir, Mr. Sinir, have you had dinner?”
Charles said “hmm” and took off his suit jacket.
He stayed by Ynda’s bedsidest night and didn’t go home, so he didn’t know she wasn’t home.
When Ynda doesn’te home, the servants report it to him.
No one mentioned itst night, so he naturally assumed she was home.
He followed her upstairs and saw that she still went to the room at the end of the hallway,
which amused him.
Ynda came out after showering and saw him in her room.
He had also showered; his hair was damp, and he was wearing only a bathrobe.
She said nothing and grabbed the hairdryer to dry her hair.
Charles walked in, took the hairdryer, and said, “Let me help you.”
“No need,” she replied.
His expression darkened, but then the corners of his mouth curled up. “That pst night- were you hurt?”
“No.”
She sat in the chair, quietly blow–drying her hair.
Charles stepped closer and snatched the hairdryer. “There’s ten million dors on that card by the bedside.”
His fingertips ran gently through her hair. “Spend it however you want, but be nicer to

Ynda from now on.”
:
Ynda found it amusing–Charles was never short of money.

If this had happened before, she would have imagined some grand love story behind his
gesture.
But she never realized that Charles was only offering what he had the most of–and despised the most–to keep her wrapped around his finger.
He never stood up for her or sided with her; he just used money to settle things.
Just like how he dealt with his other mistresses.
Their fifteen years meant nothing.
Her
eyes were calm. From Charles’s point of view, since he was willing to lower himself and blow her hair, she should be head over heels in love.
He thought she was still the same Ynda, but she hadn’t been that person for a long time.
Ian was great; she had grown addicted to that feeling.
The husband at home no longer seemed that charming.
Thinking that way made her feel much better. Ten million dors is too good to pass up, and she could invest more resources in the puppy.
“Thank you, husband.”
Charles lowered hisshes, a trace of boredom flickering in his eyes, and set the hairdryer aside.
“Mm, get some rest early.”
It was just as boring as before,
Ynda watched his back silently as she got into bed; she found her husband quite boring.
