Ynda returned to Moonbay Estate that night, but it was already two in the morning.

When she got home, she ran into Charles, who smelled faintly of alcohol.

She took his coat and hung it on the nearby rack, her tone indifferent. “I spoke to William. He won’t press charges.”

Charles reached out and ruffled her hair. “You came back thiste just to handle that?”

“William cares a lot about that kid. It took me some time to convince him,” she replied.

He swept her into his arms, a yful smile on his lips. “Looks like you’re really my perfect wife.”

His sweet words didn’t work on Ynda anymore. She nudged him upstairs. “Go hit the shower, you reek of booze.”

While Charles was taking a shower, he casually left his phone on the table.

He never bothered to guard himself around Ynda.

As she listened to the water running in the bathroom, Ynda picked up his phone and scrolled through the contacts. Just as she expected, ke Alston’s number was right there.

ke Alston was a street racer and total troublemaker. After he and Renee met, the gap between their backgrounds couldn’t have been wider, but Renee was totally obsessed with him. That got Charles’s attention –he stepped right in, broke them up, and had ke sent away for good.

Girls like Renee, raised with everyfort, always went for the wild types. And ke was exactly her kind of bad news: the fast cars, that face–he had more than enough to make anyone fall hard.

Renee was just twenty at the time. After Charles split them up three years ago, ke vanished from the picture.

No one knew where he’d ended up, and Charles wasn’t about to waste any effort worrying about him.

Ynda memorized the number, then tucked the phone right back where Charles had left it.

Just as she was about to step out, Charles came out, still rubbing a towel over his wet hair.

With a towel slung low around his waist and water dripping from his hair, he caught her by the arm and pulled her back to him.

“Hey babe, if you’re feeling down, how about we head out tomorrow, just us two?” Charles suggested yfully.

“You’re actually free?” Ynda shot back, genuinely surprised.

It was pretty rare for Charles to have any time off.

“Yeah, the shipping project’s nearly wrapped up. I’ve got some free timetely. So–where do you want to go? Your man’s all yours,” he grinned.

Ynda still couldn’t tell what Charles was really up to. Whenever he went out of town for work, he’d always invite his side piece along–never the wife stuck at home.

She just pushed him away. “I’ll think about it.”

Charles picked up on her resistance, eyes narrowing with a hint of emotion as he let her go. “Seriously? You’re not gonna stay in bed with me tonight?”

“Nope–I’ll just end up kicking the covers off all night,” Ynda teased.

He let out a softugh, guiding her hand to rest on his abs, her cool fingertips lingering against his warm skin.

Ynda’s fingers curled away, reluctant to make contact.

Without warning, Charles pulled her into his arms and pressed her down onto the bed, his lips seeking hers with a burning heat.

Ynda turned away, and his kiss brushed her cheek instead.

Charles leaned over her, his eyes dark and intense, the air between them changing. He was like a velvet de -gentle enough to tease, but sharp and dangerous when he wanted to be.

“So, you’re really gonna keep me at arm’s length?” he murmured, voice low and raspy.

“I’m on my period,” Ynda shot back, totally unfazed.

Charles couldn’t help butugh in disbelief, teasing as his hand wandered to test her im. “Your period? Nine days and it’s still hanging around?”

His fingertips found her, and he let out a sly chuckle. “Period, huh? You sure about that?”

Ynda didn’t look the least bit embarrassed to be caught lying. Instead, her eyes reddened and her voice trembled, “I’m just feeling awful inside… I really don’t want to. Is that okay?”

Charles paused, then slowly pulled his hand away and hugged her, resting his chin on her shoulder. “You’re upset… this is about that kid, huh?”

“Yeah,” she murmured, her voice thick.

“Just send me a list of ces you want to go, whenever. I’ll take you,” he offered gently.

    “Okay,” she said softly.

He held Ynda’s face in his hands, his lips still trailing gentle kisses. “Alright, no need to cry–it’s not like I’m forcing you.”

Charles couldn’t shake off a wave of irritation that had no real reason behind it.

Charles pulled out a cigarette, watching her retreating figure. He ended up letting out a dry chuckle. “Howe I’ve never noticed you’re such a crybaby?”

Ynda didn’t say a word. She just opened the door and left.

Once the door was shut behind her, Ynda’s tears vanished in an instant. She brushed her cheeks dry, her face cool and unreadable as she slipped back into her room.

She picked up her phone and dialed ke Alston’s number. The line rang, and soon a low, rough voice answered, “Yeah?<b>” </b>

“I’ll wire you two million dors, all you have to do ise back and start messing with Renee again. Get her pregnant, make her toss the Sinir family and choose you. If she dumps everything for you, I’ll give you another four million,” Ynda said with a cold, businesslike tone, not a hint of emotion.

There was a long pause before ke finally spoke, his voice low and wary. “Who is this?”

“Buy your ticket now. I’ll transfer you 600 thousand dors as a deposit. You weren’t exactly happy when Charles had you sent away, right? Back then, you had a sick brother–how’s he doing now?” Ynda’s voice was cool and matter–of–fact.

ke was silent for a few seconds before letting out a dry chuckle. “I only got close to Renee for the cash—to pay for my brother’s hospital bills.”

“What, you mean you don’t need the money now?” Ynda pressed.

“Of course I need it,” ke snorted. “Ever since I left the country, I’ve needed cash more than ever. They don’t do health insurance over here.”

He took a deep breath. “If Ie back, Charles’s gonna destroy me. You have no idea what that man is capable of.”

He once shoved a gun right in my face. Didn’t even need to say a word–just that look in his eyes was enough to freeze your soul.”

“ke, Renee just lost a finger. She’s broken right now, desperate forfort. Six million dors–you just have to decide if you’re willing to take it,” Ynda said coldly, no room for doubt in her voice.

“I’m booking my flight as we speak, Miss Grant,” ke replied, no hesitation at all.

“Figured out it’s me already?” Ynda asked, sounding a little amused.

“I’d never forget your voice,” ke replied, voice husky with the weight of memory.

Ynda frowned, thinking back. She’d only ever met ke once–back before she married Charles<b>. </b>That day, she’d just happened to stumble upon ke and Renee together on a date, and Renee instantly panicked, threatening her to keep her mouth shut.

Back then, ke was the picture of a reckless bad boy–ripped jeans hanging off his hips, bleached hair

spiked up, oozing rebellious vibes from every pore. Ynda, still believing that loving Charles meant looking out for his entire family<i>, </i>tried persuading Renee to make better choices. Renee just shot back a string of sarcastic jabs right in front of ke, who found the whole thing amusing. Then, not missing a beat, ke swung a leg over his motorcycle and pulled Renee up behind him. The good–looking pair sped off, ughing like they owned the world and didn’t care what anyone thought.

The next evening, Charles took Ynda to the Sinir family home for dinner.

Dn was still out of town, and May couldn’t hide her disdain for Ynda, her face a storm cloud the whole time.

Renee, on the other hand, lost her temperpletely–she smashed a te right on the table, jabbed a finger practically at Ynda’s nose, and yelled, “Get the hell out of here!”

Just as Renee was about to unleash another round of insults, her phone rang.

“Charles! If you bring her here again, I’m out–I’ll run away and you won’t see me back in this house!” Renee yelled, voice trembling with rage.

Spitting out those words, she grabbed her phone and stormed out of the room.

Ynda was the one who’d asked toe tonight, and Charles would never turn her down for things like this.

Just like she wanted, Renee stormed out.

May mmed her fork down, her voice icy. “You know Renee’s a wrecktely. Why’d you have to bring her here?”

Charles just sat there, calm as ever. “She’s my wife. If she wants toe, it’s not like I can stop her–we’re still married.”

May’s chest rose and fell with anger, but deep down she knew Charles was a man of principle.

She took a long breath, gave a cold smile. “Enjoy your meal.”

Ynda calmly picked up a rib and ced it in Charles’s bowl. “Here you go, hubby–have some.”

Charles shot her a quick look, grabbing his fork. “Did that cheer you up?”

He’d already seen through her: Ynda came here on purpose, just so Renee would flip out the second she <fnaf6e> Updates are released by Find?Novel</fnaf6e>

Ynda didn’t say a word, so Charles grabbed her chin and made her look at him. “So, did you figure out where you want to travel yet?”

“Yeah, let’s do the Middle East this time,” Ynda said, not missing a beat.

Charles raised his eyebrows, not having expected that answer.

“You realize it’s zing hot there, and it’s definitely not luxury resort territory,” he said, a little skeptical.

“I want to stay for ten days. That cool with you?” Ynda asked, totally unfazed.

“Ten days should be more than enough for ke to win Renee over, Ynda mused to herself.
