“Didn’t I tell you not to contact her?” Ynda said calmly as she closed the door to the dressing room.
“Is Raelyn harassing you?”
“Yeah,” Ian replied, “she keeps pestering me–I’ve turned her down so many times, but it doesn’t help.”
Raelyn rarely set her sights on a guy–she was far too proud to chase after anyone.
Ynda nced Ian up and down, teasing, “Ever considered giving her a shot? Like she said, you’de out ahead.”
Ian’s usual warmth vanished; his lips thinned into a tight line.
Just as Ynda was sure he’d leave without another word, Ian suddenly broke into a confident grin and pulled her into his arms. “What if I dated you instead?”
“I’m married,” Ynda replied firmly.
“So you told me to get that tongue piercing, huh?” Ian retorted with a yful glint in his eyes.
Ynda was at a total loss for words–there was simply no winning this round.
“So you’re really not interested in dating her?” Ynda teased, a half–smile ying at her lips.
“Not at all,” Ian shot back without hesitation.
Ynda gave his head a light, teasing tap. “Alright, let me go talk to her, see if she’s willing to settle this quietly. You were a little too intense just now.”
Ian caught the subtle scent that lingered around her, and something intense flickered in his eyes.
When it was Ian’s turn for his scene, Ynda headed off to look for Raelyn.
The red mark on Raelyn’s neck was sticking out like a sore thumb. Even the makeup artist couldn’t help but ask, “Ms. Cullen, what’s up with your neck?”
Raelyn was already wearing a frosty scowl, but the moment she spotted Ynda, her temper exploded. “Get
out!”
Ynda smiled, offering her a bottle of water. n doesn’t really know how to handle these things. I hope you’re not upset, Ms. Cullen–I’ve already talked to him about it.”
Raelyn let out a coldugh, refusing the water outright.
Ynda leaned in, lowering her voice. “By the way, I still have those texts your agent sent me. Trust me, I could go public, but I’d rather keep things private. I broughtn here so he could apologize to you himself. There are plenty of guys in this business–he’s just not that lucky, and honestly, he’s a bit clueless. No need to get worked up over him. Plus, his mom’s seriously ill, that’s the real reason he came into this industry. He’s

been pretty sensitive about everything.”
Raelyn shot Ynda a chilly look and stood up, practically sneering. “Seriously, you think I’m dying for some guy with an ice cube for a face? Bet he’s boring in bed, too. And as for him grabbing me–I’m not forgetting that, and I’m definitely not letting it slide. Right now, he’s nowhere near my level, but if you dare leak those texts, let’s see who gets dragged through the mud online. Oh, and just so you know? I’ve had ties with the Andrade family before. Mess with me, and trust me–you’re gonna wish you hadn’t.”
Raelyn didn’t even pretend to be nice. She pped Ynda’s cheek with a smirk. “He’s clueless, and you’re not much better. Threaten me? Please, who do you think you are? Don’t tell me you two haven’t already hooked up–that boy’s probably head over heels for you. Just wait till he gets famous. Watch how I tear him down in front of everyone.”
Ynda wondered to herself, ‘Who did Raelyn actually get involved with from the Andrade family?‘
‘Vivian’s brother–Cedric?‘
‘No way it was Grady. His status in Beloris was way too hush–hush. Getting anywhere near him would be nearly impossible.‘
‘Cedric was famous for being petty–everyone knew how short–tempered he was with women.
‘Raelyn probably got with him back when she wasn’t famous yet!’
“Ms. Cullen, are you getting all worked up just because nobody wants to sleep with you?” Ynda shot back, her words loaded with mockery.
“You-!” Raelyn snarled, and raised her hand to p Ynda.
But Ynda reacted instantly, catching Raelyn’s wrist before it could connect.
“Oh, really? How dare you as a manager talk to me like that. Just wait–I’ll make sure you two get kicked out of the entertainment industry for good!” Raelyn hissed, face twisted in fury.
She ripped her hand out of Ynda’s grip and stormed out of the dressing room.
Ynda had herself wrapped up tight, with only her eyes showing–like she was ready to go full ninja mode.
Later that evening, the two of them ran into each other again in the hotel restaurant.
Since Ynda ditched the hat and mask and swapped outfits, Raelyn didn’t put two and two together–she had no clue this was Ian’s manager right away.
Ynda happened to sit nearby, catching Raelyn giving her agent an order. “Go tell Cedric to haven cklisted.”
Brittany Carpenter nodded, keeping her voice low. “Raelyn, weren’t you and Cedric done a long time ago?”
“We just started talking again,” Raelyn shrugged, flipping her hair back.
“The Andrade family’s backing is no joke.”

Ynda kept her eyes lowered, focusing on her te as she quietly finished her food.
That was when Charles showed up, sliding into the seat next to her.

Ynda coughed lightly, ncing his way before speaking. “Pretty sure I’m catching a cold. I’ll go upstairs and grab some medicine–don’t want youing down with it too.”
She got up and stepped away, picking the perfect angle to snap a photo that made Charles and Raelyn look suspiciously close–like they were sharing an intimate dinner together.
Then she had someone send the picture to Cedric anonymously.
Cedric didn’t care for Charles one bit, even if he kept it to himself. He was fiercely protective of his sister Vivian, and whenever he saw her suffering because of Charles, it just fueled his dislike.
If a woman he’d ever hooked up with was getting close to Charles, Cedric would see it as a p in the face.
Above all, it was a matter of pride for him.
Sure enough, just a few minutes after the image leaked out, Cedric couldn’t wait to call Raelyn.
Raelyn finally noticed Charles sitting not far away–her face grew warm in embarrassment as she picked up the call.
Cedric’s voice, icy and full of suspicion, sliced through the line. “Who are you having dinner with?”
“Cedric, I’m on my own, but I’m in the next city, so I can’te over tonight,” Raelyn said, carefully trying to keep her tone light.
Cedric always demanded she spend two days with him every month–and she never dared refuse.
Cedric gave a chillyugh. “On your own? You really want me to believe that?”
Raelyn’s brow furrowed as she nodded. “I swear, I’d never lie to you.”
“Don’t bullshit me, Raelyn! Who the hell do you think you are, sneaking around with some guy back? You think you’re special or something?” Cedric spat, venomcing every word.

Raelyn’s face went ghost–white as she hurried to speak in a low voice, “I didn’t, Cedric–I swear, I really didn’t
“You’ve got six hours to drag yourself back here. And if you don’t, I’m telling you–this time I won’t let you off easy” Cedric snarled, his threat clear as day.
Raelyn shot up from her seat, her face drained of all color.
No one wanted to be on the receiving end of Cedric’s fury–he’dpletely ruined more than a few women
for less.
Back when she hadn’t made it big yet, Raelyn had pulled every trick in the book to get on his good side, hoping the shortcut would lead her straight to the top.

Now that she had fame, that shortcut felt more like dancing with a ticking bomb. She’d managed to cut ties for two years, but now that Cedric wanted her back, saying no just wasn’t an option.
She hurried into the car, barely pausing to think. She was supposed to be filming a scene tonight, but with everything blowing up, she could only call Simone and ask for time off.
Simone sounded annoyed. “You seemed totally fine at lunch, and now you’re leaving all of a sudden? The set we built for your scene this afternoon now has to wait. We’re only sticking around for like ten days, so when do you n to make it back?”
Raelyn’s lips were parched–she honestly couldn’t give a straight answer. Who knew what Cedric might do to her this time?
Raelyn didn’t even know what had set Cedric off this time–his anger made no sense to her.
“Sorry, Ms. Sinir,” Raelyn mumbled, her voice thin and apologetic.
Simone’s voice was tight with frustration, but she clearly suspected the reason. “Raelyn, I’ve been telling you to break things off with him for ages. You never listen, and now the whole crew has to put filming on hold because of your drama.”
Simone knew all about Raelyn’s history with Cedric—and she’d heard all the horror stories about his infamous exploits. She was well aware of what kind of trouble he could stir up.
Which was exactly why she hated dealing with the Andrade family. Every single one of them was ruthless, and their name was pure poison in the business–nobody wanted to get on their bad side.
Raelyn wasn’t about to sic Cedric on Ian right now–if she could walk away from Cedric in one piece, she’d count herself lucky.
Her whole body trembled; she honestly couldn’t fathom how things had spun sopletely out of control.
