The Amazing son in law Chapter 10

The room fell silent, stunned by a sudden roar. Everyone quickly pulled out their phones, eager to check Emgrand Group’s official social media ount. Sure enough, the verified ount had just released a groundbreaking announcement! A wave of shock rippled through the conference room as the post revealed that ire had indeed clinched the deal—doubling the anticipated total value in just half an hour! How was this even possible? It seemed almost too easy!

Harold was filled with disbelief and regret. Until today, ire Wilson was on par with him regarding status and identity. If he had only epted the task yesterday, he could have prevented ire from shining, no matter the oue! Instead, he backed out because of his fear of failure. Now, ire had triumphed, leaving him feeling as though he had received a resounding p to the face!

In that moment, Lady Wilson eagerly grabbed the contract and began to read it. Herughter filled the room as she eximed, “Excellent! Truly excellent! ire, you’ve outdone yourself!” She then inquired, “What was your secret?”

ire replied, “It’s all thanks to Miss Doris Young. She holds our family in high regard.”

Wanting to be honest, ire hesitated. She realized she had no idea who the chairman of Emgrand Group was. If she revealed the truth, no one would believe her. Harold, upon hearing this, felt as if a knife had pierced his heart a thousand times—he wanted to disappear! No wonder ire secured the contract! Doris Young from Emgrand Group respected the Wilson family! Did this mean it wouldn’t have mattered who had gone in the end? Harold berated himself for missing such an incredible opportunity!<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Just then, Charlie spoke up, “Harold, do you remember our bet?”

Instantly, Harold’s expression twisted into one of disdain. How could he forget? The terms stated that whoever lost would have to grovel at the other’s feet. With ire winning the contract, it was clear he had lost… “No! Absolutely not! There’s no way I’m groveling at that loser’s feet! Over my dead body!”

Through gritted teeth, he sneered, “Charlie Wade, who do you think you are? Just a useless toy boy who married into our family! You seriously expect me to bow before you?”

Charlie responded tly, “Yes, I’m just a toy boy. But remember, we made an oath yesterday. Whoever breaks it will face dire consequences—your mother, father, grandparents, all of them!” He emphasized the word ‘grandma,’ and Lady Wilson’s face darkened.

She red at Harold and asked coldly, “What’s it going to be? Do you really want to bring harm upon me?”

Panicking, Harold blurted out, “Grandma, don’t listen to him! He just wants to humiliate me and insult you!”

Charlie replied calmly, “Harold, don’t try to deceive Grandma. You made a vow. If you break it, you’ll be cursed. Do you want to condemn her?”<fne285> The source of th?s content is find?novel</fne285>

“Grandma, we were just joking! You can’t take it seriously!”

Lady Wilson, her face expressionless, said, “You know I’m a devoted Buddhist. How dare you break a promise made before God?!”

“Grandma…” Harold was genuinely panicking now, as it was clear she was truly furious!

Seeing Harold’s hesitance to keep his promise, which would protect his own pride, Lady Wilson mmed the table and shouted, “Are you really going to break your oath?”

“Grandma, I…” Harold stuttered. In his mind, he quickly weighed his options.

If he followed the betting rules and admitted defeat to Charlie, he would lose face. But if he defied the bet and angered his grandma, he would lose everything in the Wilson family! He would be risking far more than just his pride!

Reluctantly, he gritted his teeth and muttered, “Fine! I’ll uphold my promise!”

Charlie looked at him with a quiet smile, eagerly awaiting the moment Harold would kneel before him. Harold felt as if his legs were made of lead. He moved slowly and awkwardly toward Charlie, his body trembling with agitation. In a moment of weakness, his legs buckled, and he knelt on the ground. Thump! Onlookers discreetly pulled out their phones to capture the moment.

With his head bowed, Harold spoke in a loud yet shaky voice, “I’m sorry!”

Then he leaned forward and knocked his head against the floor.

Charlie replied, “What did you say? I couldn’t hear you! Speak louder and clearer.”

Swallowing his humiliation, Harold bowed his head again and shouted, “I’m sorry!”

Charlie smirked, “Oh, you’re sorry? What exactly are you sorry for?”

Inside, Harold seethed with anger, wishing he could tear Charlie apart. But there was one more bow to go. Gritting his teeth, he said, “I shouldn’t have doubted ire’s abilities…”

With another bow to the floor, Charlie felt a rush of satisfaction! He had held a grudge against Harold for quite some time. Now, watching him kneel like a dog and admit his mistakes brought him immense joy! ire’s eyes widened in surprise as she witnessed the scene, suddenly realizing that her husband seemed different. Yet, she couldn’t quite put her finger on what had changed.

As she recalled Charlie’s confident demeanor when he made the bet with Harold yesterday, she began to wonder if he had known all along that she would seed. Where did such unwavering confidencee from?
