The Amazing son in law Chapter 15

After leaving Emerald Court, Charlie chose not to rush home. He aimed to surprise his wife with a memorable celebration for their wedding anniversary. This surprise extended beyond the exquisite jade ne; he was determined to recreate the romantic wedding they never had. Looking back, Charlie and ire had hastily registered their marriage at the insistence of Lord Wilson, ire’s grandfather, without ever having a proper wedding ceremony.

Lord Wilson had nned a grand wedding for them, but shortly after their marriage, he fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. Consequently, the wedding was postponed, and soon after, Lord Wilson passed away. This left Charlie sidelined by the Wilson family, effectively burying any wedding ns. However, things had changed; Charlie was now wealthy, and he was resolute in giving his wife the wedding she deserved!

The first venue that came to Charlie’s mind for the wedding was the Sky Garden at Shangri-La Hotel. Currently, Shangri-La was the premier hotel in Aurous Hill, renowned for its opulent decor and expansive grounds, plete with an upscale shopping mall. The Sky Garden, located on the top floor of the mall, boasted a stunning design featuring crystal ss and fragrant flowers imported from around the world, resembling a magnificent garden suspended in the sky.

This venue was the most luxurious banquet hall avable in Aurous Hill, and hosting a wedding there would cost several million dors. For Charlie, who had be wealthy, this amount was manageable. The most important thing to him was making his wife happy, so he stood confidently at the entrance of the Shangri-La Hotel, ready to book the Sky Garden for their anniversary celebration.

Unbeknownst to Charlie, the hotel operated on an exclusive members-only basis. ess to dining, amodation, or event hosting required a membership card. There were various membership tiers, each offering different privileges. Regr members could only dine in the lobby and stay in standard rooms. Silver members enjoyed dining in private rooms and luxury amodations. Gold members had ess to the deluxe dining room and suites, while tinum members could dine in the Sky Garden and stay in executive suites.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

The highest tier was the diamond membership, granting ess to the Presidential Suite and the ability to reserve the entire Sky Garden for events. However, membership at the Gold level and above was invitation-only, reserved for individuals of significant social standing.

As Charlie attempted to enter the hotel, he was stopped by several men in ck suits. “Excuse me, sir, please show us your membership card,” one of them said.

Feeling somewhat out of ce in his modest attire, especiallypared to the elegantly dressed guests around him, Charlie quickly replied, “I’d like to speak to the hotel manager about booking a venue.”

“I’m sorry, but you can’t enter without a membership card,” the man responded tly.

“Can I apply for membership right now?” Charlie asked hopefully.

Shaking his head, the man replied, “Unfortunately, you need a referral to apply for membership.”

Frustrated, Charlie wondered why Shangri-La had to be soplicated.

In the midst of his distress, he suddenly remembered that during his senior year at Aurous University, Lord Wilson had enrolled him, and he had a ssmate named Sabrina Lee who worked at the hotel. Rushing to find his phone, he quickly called her.

After exining his situation, Sabrina assured him, “Don’t worry, ss rep! I’ll be there right away!” Grateful, Charlie thanked her, feeling relieved that their friendship had endured despite the years.

A few minutester, a high-pitched voice echoed at the hotel entrance. “Hey, ss rep!”

Looking up, Charlie saw a woman in a professional outfit with striking makeup approaching. It took him a moment to recognize her—Sabrina had changed so much since their college days!

As she reached him, the two guards immediately bowed and greeted her respectfully, “Miss Lee.”

Charlie was astonished. “Wow, Sabrina! It’s been a while, and you’re now a manager here at Shangri-La? That’s incredible!”

Sabrina smiled modestly, “Oh, ss rep, you’re too kind. I’m just a small-time leader in the HR department, which is considered low to middle management at Shangri-La.”

Charlie earnestly praised her, “That’s still impressive! I’ve heard that the standards for management here are very high. You’re doing amazing!”

Sabrina chuckled and then turned to the guards, her tone icy. “Did you block my college ss rep from entering?”<fncf28> Th? link to the orig?n of this information r?sts ?n find[?]ovel</fncf28>

The guards exchanged nervous looks. One of them quickly replied, “I’m sorry, Miss Lee. We didn’t know he was your ssmate. We were just following protocol…”

Sabrina scoffed, “Protocol is one thing, but understanding people is another. Don’t you see that?”

Thinking she might reprimand them, Charlie quickly interjected, “Sabrina, don’t me them; they’re just doing their jobs.”

Sabrina shifted her gaze to him, bursting intoughter. “Oh, ss rep, you really think you’re someone special, don’t you? Did you expect me to punish my staff just for you?”

Confused, Charlie frowned. “What do you mean by that?”

“What do I mean?” Sabrina replied with a smirk. “Is it not clear? A pathetic loser like you, thinking you can waltz into Shangri-La? Don’t even dream about it!”

Charlie clenched his fists, bewildered. “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“I’m just having a little fun!” Sabrina grinned, her expression yful. “I always thought it was ridiculous that a nerd like you could be ss rep when you couldn’t even afford a proper meal in the cafeteria! Did you ever look in the mirror?”

With a cold stare, Charlie responded, “Sabrina Lee, I don’t recall ever offending you. Why do you persist in ridiculing me?”
