Jerome quickly dialed a number on his phone and shouted, “Zaz, I’m at Silverwing Hospital. Bring a few of your guys; we’ve got a brat to take care of!”


    In contrast, Charlie chose to send a text instead of making a call. He messaged Albert Rhodes: [Come to Silverwing Hospital, someone is trying to kill me.]


    Almost immediately, Don Albert returned the call.


    “Mr. Wade, who is this son of a B*tch?” he demanded.


    Charlie replied nonchntly, “Less talk, just get here.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">


    Don Albert assured him, “Don’t worry, Mr. Wade, I’ll be there in a few minutes.”


    Jerome, noticing that Charlie was also on the phone, scoffed. “Hah, don’t tell me you actually called for backup. That’s hrious!”


    Charlie brushed off hisment with a smile. “As I mentioned earlier, you both will experience the most painful death imaginable.”


    Jerome burst intoughter, as if he had just heard the most amusing joke. “Who do you think you are? No one in Aurous Hill dares to stand against me!”


    Meanwhile, Dous, struggling to sit up in bed, panicked and said, “Charlie, just leave! You can’t win against this guy. Please don’t!”


    Charlie approached him and gently tucked him back under the covers. “Just lie down and rx.”


    Still in a state of panic, Dous insisted, “You don’t understand how powerful he is! His family has a huge reputation in Aurous Hill…”


    Charlie peeled a mandarin and popped a piece into Dous’s mouth. “There’s no one I fear to stand against!”


    Lily scoffed. “Oh, really? You’re so misguided! Do you even know who you’re up against?”


    Charlie interrupted her before she could borate. “I don’t care who he is; I only know he’s going to be disabled for the rest of his life!”


    He paused for effect before adding, “Oh, and your fate will be no different!”


    Lily’s face darkened immediately. “Fine! If you’re so eager to die, just you wait!”


    Charlie turned to Dous and asked, “Did you tell her father, Lawson Lewis, about this?”


    “Yeah,” Dous replied. “I gave him a call.”


    Charlie nodded. “And what did he say?”


    Dous furrowed his brow in frustration. “He said it wasn’t his problem! He just wanted to find a way to avoid me bothering him anymore!”


    Charlie pressed further, “What about the ten thousand dors you put into the restaurant? Did you ask him for a refund?”


    “I did!” Dous’s frustration grew. “That old bastard… he imed the money was a gift from his future son-inw! He said I had no right to ask for it back, so he refused!”


    “How dare he!” Charlie eximed, anger boiling inside him. “No wonder he has such a nasty daughter; he’s just as scummy!”


    Lily, furious, shouted, “What did you just say, Charlie? How dare you insult my father! You’re ying with fire!”


    She then clung to Jerome and pleaded, “Jerome, look at what he said about my father! Make him pay!”


    Jerome was merely a yer in this scenario. He was shorter and not as muscr as Charlie, who not only managed everything around the house but also lived a healthy lifestyle. If a fight broke out between them, it was clear who woulde out on top.


    Moreover, Charlie’s father had taught him Wing Chun from a young age, and even after his parents’ passing, he never missed a day of training at the orphanage. His dedication meant that no one dared to bully him.


    In a fair fight, Jerome wouldn’t stand a chance. Even five of him wouldn’t be enough to take Charlie down.
