The Amazing son in law Chapter 97

Jasmine sat in the car with an expression that betrayed her indifference.

It was incredibly frustrating for her to have such a useless scoundrel in her family. What added to her irritation was Uncle Quilt’s attempt to embarrass her in front of outsiders.

If he had seeded in swindling her out of her money that day, Uncle Quilt would have made off with a significant sum. Jasmine would have felt deeply humiliated to realize she had been duped, especially after losing a considerable amount of the Moore family’s wealth!

Thankfully, Charlie was there to intervene, preventing her from falling victim to this scheme and safeguarding her family’s fortune.

Jasmine retrieved a bank card from the glovepartment and handed it to Charlie. “Mr. Wade, this card holds about one million dors. The passcode is six eights. Please ept this as a token of my appreciation.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

A sigh escaped Jasmine as she spoke. It puzzled her why Charlie had chosen to be part of such a small family when he clearly possessed exceptional skills and professionalism. If he had ventured out on his own and started an antique appraisal business, he could have built a remarkable career in just a few years.

Charlie hesitated for a moment, contemting the bank card she offered.

One million dors was certainly a substantial amount, but for the Moore family, it was merely a drop in the ocean.

Initially, Charlie had little interest in the one million dors. After all, he had over nine billion dors in his own ount; to him, that amount was insignificant.

What would be the point of epting it?

However, he reminded himself that he wasn’t a billionaire—he was just the son-inw of the Wilson family.

Declining the one million dors could raise suspicions with Jasmine, so he epted the bank card from her. “Thank you, Miss Moore.”

Jasmine smiled in response, saying, “Mr. Wade, you’re far too courteous.”

After a moment, she asked, “Where are you heading, Mr. Wade?”

Charlie smiled back and replied, “Could you drop me off at the vegetable market? I need to buy some vegetables for dinner.”

Jasmine was taken aback by his response and couldn’t help but ask, “I’ve heard about you, but honestly, Mr. Wade, you have such remarkable skills that it seems a waste for you to be just a stay-at-home son-inw. Why not work for me? I’d be happy to offer you a starting sry of one million dors a year. What do you think?”

Charlie quickly waved his hand with a smile, “I’m quite ustomed to this lifestyle.”

Jasmine was surprised by his answer but could only let out a sigh.

It appeared the rumors were indeed true; she had heard that Charlie was a son-inw living off his wife.

Previously, Jasmine thought this was merely gossip, believing he hadn’t had the chance to prove himself yet.

Now, she realized that Charlie had chosen to live this way, and she found this deeply disappointing.

Consequently, her perception of him shifted dramatically.

Charlie was aware that Jasmine would likely look down on him, but he actually preferred that. In fact, it would be advantageous for everyone to misunderstand him; it would allow him to have thestugh when the time came.

When they arrived at the vegetable market, Charlie bid farewell to Jasmine before stepping out of the car. He purchased some vegetables and then headed home.

Upon entering the house, Charlie immediately heard his father-inwughing heartily and shouting excitedly.

“Hahaha…e,e! You have to see what I’ve discovered!”

ire, who had just finished work, was seated on the sofa reading some documents. She turned to her father, startled by Jacob’s loud voice. “Dad, you nearly gave me a heart attack!”

“You have to look at this!” Jacob didn’t notice ire’s expression; instead, he proudly disyed a pair of palm-sized cdon cups. “These are the blue and white cdon cups I found at the antique market today! They say these were discovered in thete emperor’s coffin and are worth over five hundred thousand dors!”

“More than half a million?” ire eximed, standing up in surprise. “Dad, where did you get that kind of money?”<fn119b> Follow current nov?ls on fin?novel</fn119b>
