In the office.
George lounged behind his desk, legs casually resting on the table, as he focused intently on his phone, flirting with multiple women through a dating app.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated, and a text message appeared on the screen.
With a frown of annoyance, George hesitated before opening the message. It turned out to be the interview schedule from the HR department.
His expression shifted to one of surprise, quickly followed by a sarcastic sneer as he waved his phone at his colleagues nearby. “Guess who’s gracing Spikeworth with their presence?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Sitting on the sofa beside him were Jerry and Joanne, both eager to impress George.
Joanne exuded a captivating allure in her low-cut, form-fitting skirt, her wavy hair framing her shoulders. Nonchntly checking her nails, she asked, “Who is it?”
“Charlie Wade and ire Wilson!” George scoffed, clicking his tongue with disdain. “Isn’t it strange that ire applied for a job here?”
Jerry chimed in, sounding displeased, “What are they doing here?”<fn8e74> ???s ??????? ?s ?????? ?? f?i?n?d?n?o?v?e?l?</fn8e74>
Joanne replied, “I overheard irest night saying she and Charlie were kicked out of the Wilson family. She must be searching for a new job since she can’t stay with her family’spany anymore.”
Jerry let out a derisive snort. “George, that loser was so arrogantst night, causing me and Joanne to get beaten up by those thugs. You’ve got to get revenge for us!”
With a contemptuous expression, George replied, “I’ve always found Charlie to be incredibly annoying. And now his wife wants to work here? Not a chance!”
He stood up, adjusted his coat, and dered, “Just watch. I’ll reject ire’s application and make sure she leaves!”
Joanne and Jerry exchanged condescending smirks that seemed to say, ‘Keep up the pretentious act, losers!’
George strode out of his office, making his way straight to the conference room where the interview was taking ce.
Inside the conference room, ire was currently speaking with three interviewers.
“Hi, Mr. Harris.”
As George entered, the interviewers stood and bowed in respect.
George feigned surprise upon seeing ire and eximed, “Oh, hey! ire! What brings you here?”
ire looked equally taken aback. “Hi, George. It’s been a while.”
George nodded with a smile. “Yes, it has.”
Turning to the interviewers, he instructed, “You can leave now. I’ll take over this interview.”
“Um, Mr. Harris, I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”
“Why? Are you suggesting I can’t conduct an interview?”
“Alright, Mr. Harris!”
As a senior executive, George Harrismanded respect, and the interviewers quickly exited the room without question.
ire was puzzled by the sudden turn of events. What was George nning? Did he intend to secretly ept her application because he knew her?
“ire, I rushed over as soon as I found out you were interviewing today,” George said, his gaze lingering on her. She was stunning and graceful, far more appealing than the women he had been chatting with online.
It was unfortunate she had chosen Charlie the loser as her husband!<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
