The Wilson Group had be something akin to a bag of rice full of holes. There wasn’t much rice left, and what little there was was quickly spilling out, leaving the bag nearly empty!
What added to Lady Wilson’s frustration was the fact that her cherished granddaughter, Wendy, had once had the chance to marry Gerald from the White family. However, the White family chose to sever ties with the Wilson family.
As a result, the Wilson family found itself without the backing of the White family.
Lost in her thoughts, Lady Wilson couldn’t hold back her tears.
For years, she had been responsible for the Wilson family’s well-being and had managed the operations of the Wilson Group. Yet, she never anticipated that thepany would reach such a dire state under her leadership.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
If things continued down this path, the Wilson Group would not only face closure but would also drown in a sea of debt. Lady Wilson feared that they might even lose their beloved old vi!
All of this turmoil stemmed from her own greed and selfish motives.
If only she hadn’t tried to im the vi that the White family had bestowed upon Charlie, Jacob and ire wouldn’t have distanced themselves from the Wilson family!
If ire hadn’t left the Wilson Group, the Emgrand Group wouldn’t have turned against them.
Meanwhile, Christopher was also teetering on the brink of despair.
The family business was at risk, Wendy had lost her chance at happiness, and his son faced an uncertain future, all while he endured the humiliation inflicted by that so-called “trash,” Charlie.
Christopher yearned to find a solution for the Wilson family, but it seemed there was little he could do.
Wendy had been in tears ever since returning home, and it truly broke Christopher’s heart.
Unable to contain himself, he turned to Lady Wilson and asked, “Mom, is there really no hope left for the Wilson family and the Wilson Group?”
With tears in her eyes, Lady Wilson replied, “I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. If we don’t dere bankruptcy and shut down thepany, the debts will inevitably crush us…”
Christopher’s voice trembled as he responded, “Mom, can’t you reach out to some of your old friends for assistance? Perhaps one of them would be willing to invest in the Wilson Group and help us through this tough time?”
“Invest?” Lady Wilson said with a bitter smile. “Who would dare invest in the Wilson Group now that we’ve been cklisted by the Emgrand Group? My old friends are avoiding me; none of them answer my calls or respond to my messages. It seems we have no true friends in this world! Everyone is just out for their own gain!”
Harold suddenly chimed in, “Grandma, if you believe there are no friends, then how does Charlie have so many wealthy and powerful acquaintances? They genuinely respect him and refer to him as their master! What could Charlie possibly offer them?”
Lady Wilson replied, “Although Charlie is just a worthless nobody, he certainly knows how to charm people. I’ve heard that these wealthy individuals treat him with respect because he provides them with Feng Shui advice. They’re all fools! Charlie is no different from those phony fortune-tellers you see sitting under trees!”
Harold looked confused and asked, “If that’s the case, why do so many powerful people believe in him?”
Lady Wilson answered, “They believe in him because he hasn’t made any mistakes yet! Charlie is just like those fake Feng Shui masters who excel at deceiving people. But eventually, everyone sees through the lies!”<fn5d66> This update is avable on find?novel</fn5d66>
As she spoke, her expression turned cold. “I’m convinced that Charlie will make a mistake soon. When that dayes, these wealthy individuals will realize they’ve been duped and will surely teach him a lesson!”
Harold looked at his grandmother with excitement and said, “I can’t wait! I look forward to seeing Charlie get what he deserves!”
Lady Wilson replied bitterly, “Yes! Don’t worry, that day will surely arrive!”
