When Wendy heard Keh’s question, she hesitated to respond, her face reflecting a mix of awkwardness and uncertainty as she regarded him.
She couldn’t bring herself to say she was single, knowing full well that she was Keh’s lover—a secret she kept from everyone outside of their rtionship. Keh had his own family, and Wendy had no desire to disrupt that. Admitting her status as his lover would only createplications for him, ultimately making things more difficult for herself.
To her surprise, Keh was quite candid in that moment. With a smile, he turned to Jeffrey and said, “Brother Jeffrey, I’ll be upfront with you. Wendy is actually my lover. I trust you to keep this between us.”
Jeffrey felt a wave of regret wash over him. He had initially believed that Wendy was Keh’s niece. Little did he know that it was merely a ruse, and she was, in fact, his lover.
Despite his interest in Wendy, Jeffrey had no intention of pursuing her further; after all, he wouldn’t dare to touch Keh’s woman. So, he pushed aside any romantic thoughts.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Keh, noticing the glimmer of desire in Jeffrey’s eyes, couldn’t help but smile to himself as their conversation continued.
In a deliberate move, Keh asked, “By the way, Brother Jeffrey, how has your father’s health beentely?”
Jeffrey let out a sigh before replying, “Not too good. He enjoyed life a bit too much when he was younger, and now he’s facing the consequences. His health has taken a serious hit.”
Keh pressed on, “I heard that your father had quite a few romantic escapades in his younger days?”
“Oh, absolutely!” Jeffrey replied with a hint of exasperation. “My dad was quite the charmer, just like me! He was young and handsome, and he never missed a chance to spend the night with different women while he was out getting herbs and medicine. From what I know, he had over twenty lovers back then! Even more than I’ve had!”
“Wow!” Keh eximed, genuinely impressed. “Your dad was quite thedies’ man!”
Jeffrey nodded, shaking his head as he continued, “Well, that’s how I ended up with a half-brother, an illegitimate child. My father has several other daughters out there too. When my grandfather discovered that my father had a son, he insisted on bringing him into the Weaver family home. He believed a son of the Weaver family shouldn’t be left to fend for himself.”
Jeffrey went on, “It’s not just me who’s hesitant about this bastard child; my father wants nothing to do with him either! But since he’s been recognized as part of the family and my grandfather invited him in, we have no choice but to keep him around. He mostly does menial tasks for us.”
Keh had always known that the Weaver family consisted of two sons: Jeffrey Weaver, the legitimate son, and Liam Weaver, the illegitimate child resulting from their father’s past rtionships. Although Liam had been weed into the family, few people knew him, as he had grown up in a challenging and obscure environment.
Curious, Keh asked, “By the way, Brother Jeffrey, with your father’s history as a womanizer, did he have any special techniques or secret medicines?”<fna494> Original content can be found at </fna494>
Jeffrey smiled knowingly. “Funny you should ask! My father did stumble upon a secret during his younger travels. The medicine he found is said to strengthen and nourish the kidneys, significantly enhancing a man’s performance in that regard.”
“No way!” Keh replied, surprised. “Do you still have that recipe?”
Jeffrey continued, “Well, the story goes that when he was younger, my dad used it for about twenty to thirty years. It seemed to be incredibly effective! I heard he could perform more than ten times in one night when he was out gathering herbs! People even nicknamed him ‘Weaver Fourteen Times’!”
As he spoke, Jeffrey sighed, “I initially thought about mass-producing this medicine, but after some analysis, we discovered it causes kidney and liver toxicity. Just look at my old man! He’s only in his sixties, and his organs are nearly worn out. The doctor estimates he has only two to three years left.”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
