He adopted a smug tone and said, “Kid, did you leave yourmon sense at home today? Do you realize who you’ve just offended?”


    “Who?” Charlie asked, unfazed.


    Mr. Hicks pointed at the young man. “He is Marcus Lloyd, the son of the multimillion-dor Lloyd family. He’s not someone you want to mess with!”


    He added coldly, “If you don’t want to find yourself in trouble, listen carefully. Pay him for the damage and move your car. Don’t waste Mr. Lloyd’s time.”


    Charlie’s agitation grew. “You’re quite amusing. Before even asking for details, you’ve already assumed it’s my fault and expect me to pay, huh?”


    Mr. Hicks scoffed. “Oh dear, another pathetic loser. Look around you! All these cars here—none are worth less than two hundred grand. What makes you think it’s okay to park your beat-up Merc here?”


    Charlie surveyed the area and replied, “Well, I don’t see a sign that says you can’t park a car worth less than two hundred grand.”


    “What the f*ck!” Realizing Charlie’s ignorance, Marcus kicked the taillights of the Mercedes-Benz with force, shattering them.


    He cursed, “Damn it, I’m done with you! Who do you think you are, rambling like a mad dog, pathetic loser? I’ll break your legs if you don’t shut up! You don’t want to pay? Fine! Let those twodies keep mepany tonight!”


    Marcus reached for ire, who stood next to Charlie.


    Charlie’s expression darkened. He stepped in front of ire and Loreen, grabbing Marcus’s arms and pushing him away.


    Enraged, Marcus yelled, “Motherf*cker, how dare you resist! They should feel honored by my attention. If you try to stop me again, I’ll kill you! Understand?”


    Charlie narrowed his eyes, his gaze cold and piercing. He warned Marcus, “Don’t burn your bridges; you’re only leading yourself to a dead end.”


    Marcus shoved Charlie back and retorted, “Wow, you want to y the hero? I’m ready to burn all the bridges. What are you going to do about it?”


    Mr. Hicks signaled the guards to encircle Charlie and the others. He threatened, “Loser, let go of Mr. Lloyd right now! If you hurt him, you’ll regret it!”


    Disregarding him, Charlie lifted his leg and delivered a swift kick to Marcus’s stomach, sending him sprawling.


    Marcus gasped in pain, feeling as if his insides had been crushed. He roared, “Mr. Hicks, get him! Damn it, he kicked me! Get him! I’ll take responsibility for everything!”
