    Liam trembled with fury, his fists clenched so tightly that the veins in his arms stood out prominently. “Jordan Weaver, you keep insulting my mother. I’ll kill you!”


    Just as he was about to charge at Jordan, Charlie stepped in front of him and said calmly, “Liam, stop. Don’t tarnish your hands with that crippled old man. It would ruin your reputation as the head of the Weaver family, the chairman of Weaver Pharmaceuticals.”


    Everyone stared in astonishment at Charlie’s bold statement.

    Jeffrey chimed in with his father’s taunts, “Charlie, I haven’t forgotten about ourst encounter! If you meddle in our family matters again, I won’t let you off so easily!”


    Charlie charged forward and pped Jeffrey hard across the face, sending him spinning!


    No one expected Charlie to take such decisive action!


    The members of the Weaver family were ready to retaliate, but Charlie shot them a cold re and dered, “Listen closely. From this moment on, I, Charlie Wade, will make Jordan and Jeffrey Weaver marked men! I’ll issue a hit list to the underworld! If any of you decide to stand up for them, feel free—I won’t hesitate to add a few more names to that list!”


    The idea of a hit list in the underworld was akin to the movie John Wick. Once released with a hefty reward, the entire underworld would be set in motion to hunt down the marked individuals for the prize.


    Ichiro Kobayashi, who was currently tending to Don Albert’s dogs in his kennel, had a bounty ced on his head by his brother in Japan. The reward of just fifty million had many eager to take action against him. If Charlie put a simr price on Jordan and Jeffrey, they would find no peace for the rest of their lives.


    Jordan smirked at Charlie’s threat, “Who do you think you are? Do you really believe you have the upper hand? My family is worth over a billion dors; I could easily put a billion-dor bounty on you and hire a hitman!”


    Charlie returned the smirk. “That’s nonsense; you don’t have the means to pull that off.”


    He then pulled out his phone and called Albert.


    Albert’s courteous voice came through once the call connected. “Yes, Master Wade, how may I assist you?”


    “Albert, issue a hit list for me. I want Jordan and Jeffrey Weaver to be hunted down! The reward is set at one hundred million dors and it will go into effect at midnight!”


    “Understood, Master Wade. I will release the order to the entire city immediately!”
