In that moment, Jake relentlessly pounded on Aaron, continuing until he rendered him unconscious. Once Aaron was down, Jake brought him back to consciousness with two sharp ps to the face, only to resume his assault once more.
Meanwhile, Aaron’s former ssmates looked on in disbelief, but none of them had the courage to intervene. Jacob, however, was filled with excitement; he finally had the chance to take his revenge on Aaron.
As Jake continued to brutalize Aaron, Charlie intervened, shouting, “Stop it! If you keep this up, he’s going to die. I want him to spend the rest of his life in prison!”
Jake immediately halted his attack. After stepping back from Aaron, he spat on him and cursed, “You old dog, you’re still trying to pin the me on me? If it weren’t for Mr. Wade’s mercy, I would have already killed you! Damn it!”
Having finished his rant, Jake dropped to his knees and crawled towards Charlie, pleading, “Mr. Wade, were you satisfied with what I just did? Can you please spare my life? I beg you…”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie gave a slight nod and replied, “I can spare your life, but you will still face punishment. I can’t just let this slide!”
Desperate, Jake asked, “Mr. Wade, what can I do to earn your forgiveness?”
Charlie smiled and said, “Jake, do you recall what I told you before? I mentioned that you should prepare to spend the next twenty years working at a construction site, hauling cement?”
Overwhelmed, Jake copsed to the ground, crying out, “Mr. Wade, I don’t want to go to the construction site! Please, just forgive me this once. From now on, I’ll be your dog. I’ll be your servant and do anything you ask!”
With a yful smile, Charlie responded, “Alright, then.”
Jake’s relief was palpable as he eximed, “Thank you, Mr. Wade! Thank you so much!”
Charlie smiled again and said, “But I haven’t finished my thought, so don’t thank me just yet.”
Then, with a grin, Charlie added, “Jake, since you said you’d be my dog and do anything I ask, I’m going to request that you go to the construction site and carry cement for the next twenty years! You can leave once you’vepleted that service!”
“What?!” Jake was nearly copsing under the weight of despair.<fn94c4> This text is hosted at find{n}ovel</fn94c4>
Charlie then turned to Albert and instructed, “Albert, I need you to find a construction site, attach a dog chain to Jake’s neck, and have him carry cement there every day for the next twenty years. If he tries to escape, deal with him ordingly.”
Albert nodded eagerly, “Mr. Wade, don’t worry! I have several construction projects happening in Aurous Hill. I’ll make sure he ends up at the toughest site!”
“Great,” Charlie replied, satisfied. “I want him to work hard and reflect on his actions.”
Jake pleaded, “Mr. Wade, twenty years is far too long! Please, have mercy and reduce the time. Otherwise, my life will be over!”
Charlie responded coldly, “Stop trying to negotiate with me. There was a father and son I once knew who tried to act tough around me. I sent them to Mount Golmin to search for ginseng, and they’ll never leave that ce in their lifetime. If you keep bargaining, I might just send you there as well!”
Albert chimed in with a stern tone, “Jake, you should just ept your fate. My men drove those two to Mount Golmin, and it took them three straight days and nights to reach the base!”
“And that was during winter! The temperatures were below negative twenty degrees, and even inside, it hovered around negative seven or eight. They had to go outside to chop firewood just to keep warm!”
“I’ve heard that out there, it can drop to below negative forty degrees, and even your urine would freeze instantly! If you want to experience that, I can arrange it for you right now!”
Horrified by the thought of being sent to Mount Golmin, Jake cried out, “No, no! Don Albert, I ept my fate! I’ll go to the construction site and carry cement. I don’t want to dig ginseng in Mount Golmin!”
