Charlie ignored the fierce re directed at him. He turned to his father-inw and said, “Dad, please use the money to buy furniture and appliances so we can move into the vi as soon as possible.”
“Alright!” Jacob replied, carefully cing the card into his pocket. He then asked, “What’s the password, my dear son-inw?”
“I’ll text it to youter,” Charlie responded.
“Okay! I’m heading to the bank now to transfer the funds into my ount. This money needs to be earmarked. Don’t forget to send me the password!”
“Sure thing. I’ll text you shortly,” Charlie assured him.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Meanwhile, ine stood nearby, feeling invisible and furious.
What did Charlie mean by that? Why couldn’t he just share the password in front of her? Was he intentionally trying to exclude her? How frustrating!
In truth, Charlie did want to keep her out of the loop. He was well aware of her unscrupulous nature; she might quietly siphon off the money, and it was better to take precautions.
After changing his clothes, Jacob left the house. He received the password from Charlie just as he arrived at the bank. Inserting the card into the machine, he was astonished to find two million in the ount.
He was amazed at the amount disyed on the screen, blown away by Charlie’s ability to generate such a sum through his feng shui practices. Truly remarkable!
If Charlie continued attracting wealthy clients like this, he would soon be swimming in money!
Still in disbelief, Jacob inputted his bank ount number and transferred the entire amount. A sigh of relief escaped him as he checked his mobile banking app and confirmed the money had been safely deposited.
Just as he was about to leave the bank, another text from Charlie popped up: [Dad, don’t forget to change all your passwords—your phone lock screen, banking app, e-wallets, everything! Better safe than sorry!]
Jacob felt as if a refreshing wave of insight had washed over him!
He was grateful for his thoughtful son-inw’s reminder; otherwise, as soon as he got home, ine would likely snatch his phone and transfer all the money into her own ount!
Quickly, he changed all his passwords to something she couldn’t possibly guess.
When Jacob returned home, ine rushed to him, asking, “Honey, how did it go? Was there really two million in the card?”
“Absolutely!” Jacob replied with a hint of arrogance, “My son-inw would never deceive me.”
“So, have you transferred all the money to your ount?”
“Yes,” Jacob nodded, eager to steer the conversation elsewhere. “Where’s Charlie?”
“He went out to buy groceries,” ine answered.
“I need to call ire and let her know we’re going furniture shopping tomorrow.”
“Does that mean we can move in right after we get the furniture?”
Jacob sighed in annoyance. “If you’re buying that much furniture, aren’t you going to have to wait for delivery and assembly? It’ll take two or three days.”<fn119f> ???? ????s? ???????s ?? ?ovelFind</fn119f>
ine replied with a yful smile, “Oh, you know so much, dear. I thought we could move in the same day!”
Then, leaning closer, she rubbed against Jacob and said softly, “Honey, Mel and the girls invited me to a spa session at a beauty salon. They say it’s great for tightening skin and improving appearance. But I don’t have any money right now. Could you transfer seventy or eighty thousand to me, please?”
“No!” Jacob firmly refused. “How can you think about a spa when we’re in such financial trouble? Haven’t you learned anything from all this?”
ine pouted, “Sweetheart, I do it for you. Do you want me to turn into a dull-faced housewife?”
“Huh, do you think you’re not one just because you spend every day at those fancy salons? To me, you’ve always been a dull-faced housewife!”
ine’s face fell. “Jacob Wilson, what do you mean by that?”
“Exactly what I said,” Jacob retorted. “If you’re unhappy with me, we can just get a divorce!”
