The Amazing son in law Chapter 1037

    “What?”

Jeff had lived over twenty years, but the words Charlie just spoke were the most astonishing he had ever heard.

With his eyes bloodshot, Jeff fixed his gaze on Charlie and muttered, “Impossible. How could that be? I know you. I’ve known you since you were a kid. Your name is Charlie Wade, and you’re an orphan. Mrs. Lewis brought you back to the orphanage when you were eight. You’re just a pathetic jerk with no family support in this world. How can you possibly be the young master of the Wade family?”

Charlie offered a slight smile and replied, “I understand that this is hard for you to ept, but it’s the truth. How else do you think I could have mobilized so many people to pursue you so effortlessly? Look at all these helicopters and the men in ck armed with live ammunition. If I weren’t the young master of the Wade family, you would have seeded in your heist this time.”

“But… but…” Jeff stammered in disbelief. “If you’re really the young master of the Wade family, then why did you grow up in the orphanage? Why didn’t theye to collect you? Why would they allow a young master to live among pathetic people like us during your childhood?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Charlie replied with a smile, “They didn’t know where I was back then. Before my father passed away, he took great care to conceal my identity. The Wade family has always been searching for me, but they would never have guessed that I was growing up in an orphanage.”

Jeff quickly asked, “So, did they find you again? When did they find you? What did they want?”

Charlie exined, “They located me some time ago. To be honest, before their discovery, I was just like you—pathetic and struggling. I lived a life that might have been even worse than yours. I was broke and a live-in son-inw, relying on my wife for support. My days were filled withundry and cooking, and I had no hope in life, unlike you. At least you have a job as a sales director in a dubiouspany.”

Jeff eximed, “If you knew you were the young master of the Wade family and were living such a miserable life, why didn’t you seek them out? If you had actively looked for them, you wouldn’t have had to endure a life of scorn. Why didn’t you reach out?”

Charlie smiled again and said, “That’s where we differ. Ie from an extraordinary background, yet I’m willing to remain humble. Youe from a humble background, but you refuse to embrace humility. If you were more like me and willing to be modest, you wouldn’t havemitted this crime and made such a significant mistake today.”

“I don’t know!” Jeff responded, shaking his head in frustration. “I can’t understand! I really don’t get it! Is it because you had money when you were young? Is that why you can live without it now?”

“Perhaps,” Charlie said with a faint smile. “When I was young, I lived a life of luxury and indulgence. The life I experienced back then is something you can hardly imagine now. But what does that matter? I wasn’t happy, and neither were my parents.”

Jeff incredulously asked, “Are you really okay with being poor? You had avish life as a child. Now that you have nothing, don’t you miss that life?”

Charlie smiled lightly again and said, “Jeff, you take money too seriously. You can regard it as important, but don’t let it dominate your life. Some things in life can’t be reced by money—like ideals, rtionships, principles, and your own conscience. If you misce your priorities, you’ll inevitably make mistakes. You can rectify some errors, but there are certain things in life that cannot be undone once you make a mistake.”

At that moment, Jeff finally understood his own inferiority.

Here stood Charlie—the boy he had grown up with in the orphanage—who was actually the young master of the Wade family from Eastcliff!

In that instant, Jeff recognized how far behind he waspared to Charlie.

He grasped the stark contrast between them.

It was the difference between a swallow and a swan!

It was the difference between a pheasant and a phoenix!

It was the difference between a crucian carp and a dragon on earth!

As the saying goes, how could a small fry everprehend the mind of a great man? This phrase perfectly encapsted the disparity between Charlie and himself.<fn6911> This content belongs to FindN()vel</fn6911>

    At that moment, Jeff surrenderedpletely.

He realized he had not only lost this life but would also lose in the next. He could no longer seek revenge against Charlie. If Charlie wanted him dead, it would be as easy as squashing an ant—effortless.

He was just like Ron, Ron’s family, and the rest of the Beggar n—insignificant to Charlie, who was literally a dragon on earth!

    Despair clouded Jeff’s face.

He had initially thought of seeking revenge on Charlie in a future life.

But now, he understood that even if he had a next life, he wouldn’t be qualified to seek vengeance against Charlie.
