Before nightfall, Christopher and Hannah were already creating waves of sound in their guest room.
During this time, Christopher had been feeling quite depressed. Naturally, after being separated from his wife for so long, he was filled with impatience.<fn4435> N?w ?ovel chapt?rs are published on Find★Novel</fn4435>
Hannah, on the other hand, loved her husband deeply. She had once thought she might never see him again in her lifetime. So, the chance to return to his arms now brought her immense joy.
Yet, in this moment that was meant to be harmonious and blissful, Hannah suddenly felt a twinge of sadness.
She felt somewhat disheartened because she couldn’t help butpare her husband’s abilities to those of the supervisor she detested…<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Thisparison was truly discouraging.
One was the man she loved, while the other was someone she despised. However, when it came to the act itself, she felt even the two men she loved couldn’tpete with the one she loathed.
After all, the supervisor came from a rough background. While he might not have been young, he was certainly fit and strong.
She nced at Christopher, who was slightly plump and had never been one to exercise. After spending a few days in the detention center, he had lost a bit of weight. Otherwise, she might have been turned off by his noticeable belly.
In a directparison, Christopher likely only possessed about twenty percent of the supervisor’s prowess.
This realization made Hannah feel that the situation was losing its charm.
What was meant to be a moment of intimacy now felt iplete.
Despite her inner turmoil, she sighed inwardly. Even if it meant enduring pain, she could never go back to that dark ce again. She had no desire to serve or endure the presence of that dirty, loathsome supervisor in that grimy brick house.
Later that evening, one of the maids from the Webb family invited them to the guest dining room for dinner.
Donald and Thomas did not join them that night.
They viewed the Wilson family as their subordinates now, so it was out of the question for them to share a meal together.
As they dined, the Webb family’s butler approached Lady Wilson and said, “Mr. Webb has informed me that he has purchased Vi A04 at Thompson First. You’re in luck, as it has already been renovated and is ready for you to move in. The vi is equipped with luxurious furnishings and appliances. Mr. Webb even spent an additional thirty million dors to acquire it from the previous owners, so you can move in tomorrow!”
Excitement filled the room as the Wilson family absorbed this news. Lady Wilson, overwhelmed, dropped her chopsticks in shock.
After expressing her gratitude to the butler, Lady Wilson addressed her family, “We’ve seen theyout of the A-series vi at Thompson First, and it has plenty of rooms to amodate us all. Since I prefer spacious areas, I’d like thergest master bedroom on the third floor. You all can choose from the remaining rooms.”
Christopher quickly chimed in, “In that case, Hannah and I will take the biggest master bedroom on the second floor.”
Harold added, “Then I’ll take the second bedroom on the third floor.”
Wendy said, “I’ll take the other bedroom on the second floor.”
“Sounds good!” Lady Wilson nodded in approval. She then smirked, “Didn’t their family think we were finished? I can’t wait to see their faces when they find out we’ve moved into the vi next door.”
Christopher clenched his teeth and said, “That wretched ine and Charlie actually worked together to set my wife up. She’s suffered so much because of them. I need to settle the score!”
Hannah quickly interjected, “Are you out of your mind? You can’t bring this up with them.”
“Why not?” Christopher asked, frowning.
Hannah exined, “I was the one who teamed up with Ethel to con ine out of her money. We ultimately failed, and Charlie ended up turning the tables on us. Ethel and I were the ones who broke thew first! If this gets out and the police get involved, they’ll certainly arrest me instead!”
Suddenly, Hannah recalled how Ethel had been shot the night before, and she felt a wave of anxiety. “Ethel tried to harm mest night but was killed by the Webb family. Her family is still trapped in the coal mine. If this incident bes public and the police release Ethel’s family, they will surelye after me for revenge!”
