Caleb was filled with excitement as he spotted Charlie and rushed toward him. However, just as he was about to greet his friend, he remembered that he was now serving as Travis’s driver, and such enthusiasm might be seen as disrespectful. Quickly, heposed himself and said politely, “Hello, Mr. Lane!”
Travis smiled and patted Caleb on the shoulder, saying, “Caleb, there’s no need for all that formality. You’re Master Wade’s friend, which makes you my friend too! Even though I’m about ten years older, we can definitely be good buddies!”
Caleb nodded appreciatively, feeling both surprised and ttered by Travis’s words.
Just then, Charlie approached him with a warm smile and asked, “Hey, Caleb, how’s everything going? How’s the new job treating you?”
Caleb expressed his gratitude, saying, “Charlie, my dear friend, I can’t thank you enough! I wouldn’t be where I am without your support! You’re my lifesaver!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie’s smile remained as he replied, “Everyone encounters their lifesaver at some point. You see me as yours, but I consider Mrs. Lewis to be our lifesaver.”
He continued, “What goes aroundes around, and everything is tied to karma. We must have done some good deeds in our past lives, which is why Mrs. Lewis, our angel, came to help us in this life.”
“Maybe you did even more good in your past life, and that’s why you met me again in this one, giving you a chance for a fresh start. So, perhaps you should be thanking yourself too!”
Charlie’s thoughts took a grand turn, leaving those around them a bit bewildered.
Jasmine watched Charlie with admiration, her eyes sparkling. She pondered his words and wondered if she had saved the universe in a past life, leading to her meeting him again in this life.
As the thought crossed her mind, she felt a wave of mncholy wash over her.
Her concern stemmed from the notion that if she had, indeed, saved the universe, what grand deeds must ire, Master Wade’s wife, have performed to deserve marrying him in this life?<fn9a05> Th?s chapter is updated by F?ndNovel</fn9a05>
Caleb was touched by Charlie’s reflections.
Charlie had been his friend since childhood, and despite having done Caleb such a significant favor, he never made Caleb feel indebted. Instead, he referred to it as a matter of karma from their past lives.
Despite the hardships of thest twenty years, Caleb felt that those struggles were worthwhile, thanks to his incredibly supportive friend.
Looking at his watch, Charlie said, “Caleb, Mr. Lane, you both should be busy tonight. It’s best if you drive Mr. Lane back first. Let’s find time to meet again soon, whether Ie to Lancaster or youe to Aurous Hill.”
Travis quickly interjected, “Oh no, Master Wade, I’m free tonight! You and Caleb should have more time to chat; I don’t want to be a bother!”
Charlie smiled and replied earnestly, “Don’t forget about the Rejuvenating Pill you just bought. You should head home, take a nice bath, take the pill, and get some good rest. When you wake up tomorrow, you’ll feel something amazing happening in your body. It’ll be like a rebirth.”
Travis felt a sudden rush of excitement!
The Rejuvenating Pill was tucked away in the inner pocket of his suit. He had been waiting for the right moment to take it, but since he was at the Moore family house for Miss Moore’s birthday celebration, he didn’t think it was appropriate to use the pill right there. It would seem as if he was trying to steal the spotlight from the hosts.
So, he nned to wait until he returned to his vi in Aurous Hill to take the pill.
Now that Charlie had suggested it, Travis sped his fists in gratitude and said, “Master Wade, I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness! If that’s the case, I’ll take my leave!”
Charlie nodded, gave Caleb a brief hug, and watched as they got into the car and drove off.<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
