The Amazing son in law Chapter 1447

ire found herself momentarily speechless, utterly taken aback by the revtion.

Meanwhile, Jacob, seated in the co-pilot’s seat, was overwhelmed with emotion, tears streaming down his face as he choked out, “Back then, your mother and I had no real emotional connection. To be honest, I hadn’t even spoken to her before I got drunk that night. We barely exchanged a few words. You have to understand that your Matilda is far superior to your mother in every way. No normal man would choose your mother over Matilda. I waspletely backed into a corner!”

With a heavy heart, Jacob gazed out the window and continued, “Initially, I had envisioned a future after graduation with your Matilda. We nned to study in the United States together. You must know that going abroad was all the rage back then; everyone was eager to leave. We thought that if life in the U.S. suited us, we would marry and settle there, bing high-end talent immigrants. Our n was crystal clear, full of promise…”

“But what happened? Because I drank too much at that party, your mother took advantage of the situation and drove Matilda away, shattering my happiness and derailing all my life ns!”

“Do you know why I’ve felt lost and unmotivated for all these years? I sit at home day after day, and it’s hard to see the aplishments of a university graduate in me. It’s because your mother disrupted my path right from the start, leaving me without direction or the motivation to seed!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Overwhelmed by his emotions, Jacob broke down in tears, menting, “This is my life—once ruined, it can’t be fixed. And what about you? All you see is your mother’s perceived suffering. Have you ever considered how I’ve lived these past twenty years? What about my feelings?”

ire silently cried, realizing just how deeply her father had suffered over the years. The life he had envisioned had beenpletely altered by her mother’s interference.

Her father and Matilda may have had the chance to study in the U.S., get married, and be influential figures in society.

Instead, after marrying her mother, he became a figure of disappointment in her grandmother’s eyes, viewed as someone who couldn’t contribute.

Eventually, Jacob surrendered to the circumstances and adopted aid-back lifestyle. While part of this was due to his ownck of ambition, it wasrgely a result of her mother’s meddling.

Truthfully, ire recognized that her mother had ruined Jacob’s life.

She turned him from a vibrant college student into a disenchanted, middle-aged man.

In thest twenty years, her father must have felt immense frustration, yet he had never voiced these feelings to her.

Moreover, her mother’s domineering personality meant that Jacob likely found it impossible to confide in her, leaving him with no one to share his grievances with. Those feelings must have festered inside him for two decades!

As ire contemted this, her heart ached for her father.

With tears in her eyes, sheforted him, “Dad, please don’t cry. I apologize for not understanding the situation. I wrongfully med you. I’m so sorry…”

Jacob wiped his tears and sighed heavily, “Hey… I didn’t want you to apologize. I just needed you to understand.”

ire nodded, feeling a wave of relief, and replied, “I won’t meddle in your affairs anymore. I just hope you can manage these rtionships better.”

Now that ire knew the whole story, she understood she couldn’t stop her father from reaching out to Matilda. However, as ine’s biological daughter, she felt torn. Out of respect for her mother and their family dynamics, she couldn’t openly support her father’s pursuit of Matilda.

So, she decided the best course of action was to step back from her parents’plicated rtionship.

Whether it was the past grievances or the current entanglements, she hoped to remain uninvolved.

Jacob never expected his daughter to take such a bnced approach, offering him understanding without interference. This was more than he had hoped for, and he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Oh, ire, your support means the world to me!”

ire sighed softly, adding, “Dad, about the watch Matilda gave you—please don’t wear it at home. We wouldn’t want Mom to see it and ask questions.”<fn3776> Original content can be found at find?novel</fn3776>
