As the ne touched down, Charlie and Loreen stepped off together.
Charlie had no checked luggage, allowing him to bypass the wait at baggage im. On the other hand, Loreen, being the stunning beauty she was, always brought along a plethora of clothes, cosmetics, and skincare essentials, which meant she typically had to check in her bags.
Due to the volume of her cosmetic and skincare products, she found herself stuck at the luggage collection area, unable to leave like Charlie.
In a hurry, she asked Charlie, “Charlie, how are you getting out of here?”
Charlie replied, “I’ll just grab a taxi and head out.”<fn1fae> Chapters first released on FιndNovel</fn1fae><h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Loreen quickly suggested, “Why don’t you wait for me? We can go together. My family is here to pick me up, and I can see you off.”
Charlie smiled and waved her off, saying, “No, Loreen, I’m a bit anxious to get going. You should take your time.”
With a hint of resignation, Loreen replied, “Alright, but let’s n to meet up another day. Don’t forget you promised me we’d have a meal together.”
“Sure,” Charlie said with a slight smile. “You wait for your luggage, and I’ll head out. We’ll arrange something soon.”
After parting ways with Loreen, Charlie made his way out of Eastcliff Airport alone.
Once outside, he barely had a moment to collect his thoughts before heading straight to the taxi stand.
Just as he exited, a woman bundled up in a thick down jacket, plete with a hat, mask, and ck sunsses, hurried towards him.
Before he could fully see her, she leaped into his arms, eximing joyfully, “Charlie!”
Recognizing her voice as Stefanie’s, Charlie rxed and embraced her warmly.
With a touch of curiosity, he asked, “Didn’t I tell you not toe pick me up? What are you doing here?”
Stefanie replied earnestly, “I just wanted to see you as soon as possible! I was worried I might spill the beans about your arrival to my parents if I stayed home, so I rushed out.”
Charlie cautioned her, “But what if the paparazzi spot you? If they catch a famous star hugging a guy at the airport, it could hurt your reputation.”
Stefanie shrugged off his concerns, saying, “What’s there to worry about? If it gets out, I’ll just say I’m hugging my fiancé. If that hurts my poprity, so be it. I’m not dependent on the entertainment industry. I can always step back whenever I want.”
“Alright then,” Charlie said with a hint of resignation. “Let’s hurry to see your parents. Did you drive here?”
Stefanie nodded, “I parked my car in the lot. Let’s go get it!”
As they walked, Stefanie wrapped her arm around Charlie’s and led him toward the parking area.
When they reached her old Volvo, she admitted shyly, “I’m sorry the car is a bit worn out. Most paparazzi know my other cars, so I figured it was safer to drive this one.”
Charlie smiled and reassured her, “Honestly, you have no idea what I’ve been through over the years. I told youst time that I grew up in an orphanage. After that, my wife’s grandfather helped me get a job at a construction site. I’ve faced many challenges, so even if you asked me to walk to your house, I wouldn’t mind.”
Stefanie looked at Charlie, her expression softening. “Charlie, you’ve endured so much for so long.”
