After hearing Orrin’s exnation, Charlie began to grasp the motives of the second and third Sun family concerning their maniption of the media to disseminate such news.
He was also increasingly curious about the reactions of the two living eunuchs when they saw the radiant Orrin upon his arrival at the Sun Group.
At that moment, Stefanie walked in and noticed her father and Charlie engrossed in the newspaper. She asked with curiosity, “Dad, Charlie, what news are you reading? You both seem so engrossed.”
Orrin smiled and replied, “Your dad made the headlines today.”
“Really?” Stefanie rushed over, nced at the headline, and immediately eximed in anger, “This is outrageous! Even if his condition worsened before, it only required hospitalization again, which is far from critical. The media’s ims are utterly irresponsible!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Orrin chuckled and said, “You work in the entertainment industry. Don’t you know how these tabloids operate? They love to exaggerate, turning whispers into roars, and often spread nonsense. This is their specialty! Besides, there’s definitely someone pulling the strings behind this, or they wouldn’t publish such unverified information.”
Suddenly, Stefanie connected the dots. After a moment of contemtion, she blurted out, “Dad, do you think the second and third uncles are behind this?”
Orrin nodded, confirming, “Who else could it be? This is all part of their strategy to create a negative atmosphere ahead of today’s board meeting, making me appear more vulnerable.”
He continued, “Knowing their tactics, they’ll likely invite media reporters to the meeting today. They want to capture images of my supposed frail and dying state to broadcast across the nation!”
“This is too much!” Stefanie said, her anger bubbling over. “You should confront the media directlyter and tell them that you’ve recovered. That will infuriate them!”
Orrin smiled and reassured her, “I’ve already spoken with Jason White. Until today’s board meeting concludes, no media reporters will be allowed into the Sun Group building. After the meeting, there will be a press conference for the directors to set the record straight.”
Jason White is Orrin’s trusted deputy, a person he has personally mentored and who is very dependable.
Angie, having overheard their conversation, approached and said, “Stay safe, or I’ll apany you today!”
Orrin waved her off gently. “No need for that. The group has its protocols, and family members shouldn’t interfere with business matters. Plus, as public figures, it’s best for you both to stay out of this. Charlie will keep youpany while I handle this.”<f09> Read full story at ?ovelFind</f09>
Angie nodded in agreement upon hearing this.
……
After dinner, Charlie and Orrin shared a Rolls-Royce, apanied by a security team as they headed to the Sun Group.
These security personnel had been hired by Orrin from a premier security firm just the afternoon before.
This time, he had invested significantly in ensuring the safety of himself and his family, determined to prevent anyone from breaching their privacy.
The convoy smoothly entered the underground parking garage of the Sun Group Building.
There, a dedicated elevator for the chairman was avable, allowing direct ess to the top floor from the underground garage.
Only Orrin and his close entourage were permitted to use this exclusive elevator; even Hank and Carl did not have that privilege.
Furthermore, the entrance to the chairman’s private elevator was located within a separately enclosed garage, ensuring that not only was it off-limits to the general public, but even entry to this secure garage was tightly controlled.
Once the elevator reached the 58th floor, it opened to apletely enclosed office area designated for the chairman.
